  1. My dream draw: Pot 1: Inter/Ajax Pot 2: Roma (if Ajax from Pot 1) OR Braga/APOEL Pot 4: Nice
  2. The price tag just adds so much expectation :/ Hope he does amazing, am excited when he comes here. Weird though, £22m for Boufal, and 4 years ago another £10m got you Hazard.
  3. Apparently we always buy a player who received a 'Team of the Year in Ultimate Team'??? Apparently that signals the player we have bought has had a good season.
  4. You mean level 3, or are they with us in level 4? Glasgow?
  5. Anything Owen and Drury says, and occasionally Martin Tyler When WHU played United last season at final Upton Park game: 'the footballing gods shine down upon Upton park tonight'. Like seriously? Footballing gods? Oh ffs.
  6. Martina played in our 4-0 Arsenal, 3-2 Liverpool, 4-2 City, 2-1 away win vs Spurs, and also other great wins. Defensively he was pretty average to poor, thought he was decent attacking wise though. I actually think he did do a job for us and if Cedric hadn't won the Euros then Martina wouldn't have been frozen the way he has. Clearly a case of Puel favouring his countryman with Pied.
  7. Everton playing a 352/532 tonight, beat Yeovil 4-0.
  8. Yeah haha. Just thinking about us now too- If Puel is on 3.2m, his weekly wage is £61k. I would have thought our players are on more than that.
  9. Is it the case at every club the manager should always get more than the players? But then at Man U Mourinho gets less than Pogba (read that Pogba was on £290k a week)
  10. I just want us to go 'back' to 4231, or even a 433, and even a 442 (just not this diamond bol*ocks).
  11. We have started with a point after our first two games in the past two seasons. I can take positives from this, just as I did in 2014 after we lost to Liverpool at Anfield. My only concern is a lack of quality in DM and AM/ST, and I do think we need a quick fix with some signings rather than hoping an academy graduate plugging the gap.
  12. Saind anything better than a 2-0 defeat was a bonus, result exactly what I expected In other news though, I subbed Van Dijk for Shaw in my Fantasy Prem and it worked!!
  13. We won our last one on Boxing Day, 3-1 vs Palace in 2014!
  14. Theres only one Claude puel, one Claude Puel, Walking along, singing a song, Living in a Liebherr wonderland Very original i know.
  15. But IF it works, we can flog him to a bigger club for £35+m! That is what we are going for, an English player to get over 20 goals in a Premier League season, it is about the profit.
  16. Then why don't we wait out the window to get the best possible deal when it comes to selling our stars?
  17. Naah, also remember Leicester are paying Vardy and Mahrez a 100k a week I think. My bet is our highest is VVD/Forster at around £70k
  18. United aren't in the CL this year I can accept him going anywhere except an English team, that's all.
  19. Yeah but another way to think of it- two years at United on a high wage and then what? Unless he goes into coaching his salary will drop. With us, another 2 years on a high salary anyway, a testimonial, and then we give him a job at Saints like Jaidi and Kelvin.
  20. Well he ain't winning the League with us, he certainly could at United in the next two years, even if sat on the bench. Look at Morgan, got an FA Cup to his name.
  21. Amsterdam for an away day??? Count me in!!!
  22. tbf to Glasgow when he posted his level system he did say us and Stoke were a level 4, his level thing, whether we like it or not is correct in this moment in time. BUT, what the 'level' system shows is we are punching above our weight, and long may it continue.
  23. that would be because the players we have bought are sh*te though. I wonder how many of us would be spouting the cr*p we are IF Pellegrini was our manager right now. Only because Puel is an unknown quantity a lot of us have doubts
  24. How many other clubs are size have finished top 8 in last three seasons? Admittedly could have held on to Lallana, Lovren and Mane and Shaw all for a year more (no matter the first two's strop), but then remember we are a business, we will be looking to maximise profit and replace cheaply, something we have done to very good effect so far. I regret the day the transfers all go wrong.
  25. Hmm, we sell him say on deadline day, it means: 1) We don't give Liverpool a player so early to do his preseason 2) We can use him in first 3/4 games (I believe Bolasie played for Palace the other day) 3) And finally, if AR-10/Guan are to be believed, the reason why we are struggling to get this new attacking player in is because the club we are buying from wants a replacement sorted first. We already replaced him with Redmond anyway, so we could have sold him around now anyway. Liverpool were fixated on him, they would have paid £40m if we weren't pushovers.
