Just back from the game.
Not in the mood to read this thread so apologies if I'm repeating what's already been said.
If, after 10 minutes, I could have had a bet on the outcome of this game, I would have plumped for a single Shelvey goal.
Clyne started well, getting in behind their left back and putting in a couple of nice crosses which we failed to get on the end of.
For me it was downhill from there.
Swansea defended deep and in numbers. They were more than happy to watch us pass sideways and be slow and predictable.
Ward Prowse was allowed no space whatsoever and every time he came short to get on the ball he was ignored. Our standard ball was a hoof from Fonte to an isolated Pelle. Poor.
I could go on but I have a cat to kick.
Poor decision to take off Reed when Tadic was having a(nother) mare. Poor tracking back. Casual. Awful crossing and set pieces. Again. Am I missing something?
Elia is good value for me. Really quick feet, a couple of nice tricks and works hard both ways.
I liked the trumpet player from Groeningen(?) who cheered up the Chapel/Itchen corner after Bertrand's red card.
Oh and Gomis got away with murder.
Nuts.
