Wow, who would have thought, more gross American hatred. FWIW, and this should be public knowledge by now, many members of the U.S. Intelligence Community advocated against the use of torture. Other agencies within the IC were using "nicer" methods and extracting better information. The report and its timing are just as much a political move as they were a conscionable decision.

The Interrobang rocks. If you could listen to the Ron and Fez show, the radio show that started it, it rocks as well. http://www.theinterrobang.com

I built mine about 2+ years ago and did the exact opposite as was recommended to you. I forget what the newest GPU out was at the time but if it was the 7's, I bought a 6 series (670 I think). Assuming you're not bent on blowing lots of money, the difference in performance vs money for a 9 vs 8 or even a 9 vs 7 is not always worth it. Maybe the cards 2 or more years from now will be worth it but I wouldn't buy the newest card just because it's the newest. You can get last years top cards cheaper. If you're trying to future proof it, the more RAM the better. The cost is negligible for 8gb vs 16gb and if you want to use 4 memory channels down the road you need the exact ones you bought for the first two. Another good site is Toms Hardware. http://Www.TomsHardware.com I built mine using that site and NewEgg. I'm pretty sure there's a UK NewEgg but I'm too lazy to post the link. I also never put a cooler in mine and over clocked it to 4.2 with no problems.

Am I the only one that audibly sighs when they read Yoshida's in the starting 11?

Thanks for the info. While I'm not going strictly for the Vasa Museum, when I saw the Vasa Museum on television I knew I had to go to Stockholm. Given the choice, would anyone take Copenhagen over Stockholm? I enjoy history, architecture, museums, etc so I appreciate the insight.

I've been running through a Medieval phase lately and quite liked "The Plantagenets: The Warrior Kings and Queens Who Made England" by Dan Jones. It was written very well. Before my Medieval phase I was on a Vietnam War kick and one book I couldn't put down was "To The Limits" by Tom A. Johnson. It's about his time as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam, wild stuff. Lastly, if he likes historical and wants something other than war try "Lone Survivors: How We Came to Be the Only Humans on Earth" by Chris Stringer which, as the name implies, is about Human evolution.

Flights to Stockholm are cheap next month and I could use a few days out of the country so I ask our Swedish Saints and those familiar, how is Stockholm in January (sometime between the 3rd & 4th week)? I know it's dark and cold which doesn't brother me, interested to see Scandinavia and some snow would make it even better. Thanks (Mods, can we start a travel section on the forum?)

Phone use while driving, should it ALL be banned?
Saint_Abroad replied to norwaysaint's topic in The Lounge
What? Anyways, was it during the actual talking via a hands free device where peoples' reaction times were slowed? Or was it the dialing and interacting with the phone that caused the slow reaction time? If it's not the latter than that means people have lost the ability to talk and drive. -
Would you be doing freelance work? Make sure you know your market and that you have access to customers. Don't assume that because you have a good idea it will sell itself. A restaurant can have the best food on Earth but if no one's there to eat it, it don't make money. Good luck!

Worst part of tonight's loss will be the endless posts and threads about Jack Cork's injury costing him the Ballon d'Or.

Ahahahahaha, enjoy.

Saints interested in Paulo Dybala says the Mirror

Dybala-cal doings of the media. Ahh, I suppose that one's a little ham handed. -
Never watched footie while in Orlando but the below website should get you started. See if they have their own sites to ensure they're still in business and showing football. Not sure if you're doing Disney but Raglan Road is an Ok place where I'll enjoy a pint when down there. They may show Premier League matches but their site doesn't mention it. http://www.soccerbars.com/modules/soccerbars/bars_by_town.php?country=USA®ion=Florida&town=Orlando

OLED is the best but they're a wee bit pricey. Plasma is nearly non-existent with many manufacturers halting production and switching to LED only. Plasma, however, will offer you the best picture and with their phasing out, you may pick one up on the cheap. All depends on your budget I suppose but for picture quality it's generally Plasma > LED > LCD, this is a general rule as there are exceptions. Plasma tends to be no good for video games, if that's a concern, and there are a plethora of LEDs available so watch for sales and read all the reviews on your model of choice. I'm a Samsung fan so I lobby for them.

A drive around the New Forest in the 1040's
Saint_Abroad replied to Saint-scooby's topic in The Lounge
Really interesting, lead me to a Wikipedia search about Brockenhurst. However, I didn't see as many Anglo-Saxons as I would have thought for 1040. -
The Black Box - the reason Cork has no new contract?

How do we navigate the next 6 weeks?
Saint_Abroad replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
I was thinking ship based navigation, As long as we keep the red buoys to starboard and the green ones to larboard, we'll be fine. We're going out sea, right? -
I was wondering about this, but I have a feeling that Kat & Co. are smarter and they may have copyrighted some of the Saints Way. Information about players and scouting networks may be considered proprietary (not just because of the copyright).

According to Graeme Le Saux Chambers doesn't have much experience at right back, he has more experience as a Center Back. So we shouldn't jump on him in this experimental role.

Chambers looks dynamite today..... ...no, no he doesn't.

At what point does winning every game get tedious?
Saint_Abroad replied to Chewy's topic in The Saints
At about the same time you realize you have TOO much money.
