As I said on another thread, Puel needs to bring in players that suite his game rather than the club looking out for their next golden nugget. We definitely need a striker with a bit of flair who is not soley dependant on others creating openings for him but who can take on defences and carve out opportunities for others, presumably what Redmond was brought in for but not doing it very well. A Fonte backup/replacement might be in order. Let Jay Rod go along with Clasie and Gardos. Tadic coming back will be a help.

Nothing better than to witness a constant stream of players coming and going not to mention managers. I really do look forward to watching players settling in over a period of months and also having to adapt to yet another managers new philosophy. Who needs stability or consistency when you have fans still celebrating getting back into the premiership and being content enough with that.

A good win today but tbf Everton were a poor side. Shame we couldn't keep the first 10 minutes momentum up for longer as we would have beat them by a much bigger score. Sims wow, what a prospect!

How come everyone else in life can work 5 days or more a week including those who do very physical jobs and risk injury and who get paid a pittance compared to footballers, but most of our team can't do two!.

What a disservice that outfit did to the fans that made that trip and others, disgusting!. Even though we had a run of unbeaten games the style of our play has been dull dull dull. The only time I see our players running with any purpose or plan is when they are heading towards our own goalkeeper and giving him the ball to work out what to do with it. This stuff is so tedious to watch, god knows what the players are feeling having to play that way. I do think we have an inadequate side but what compounds it is a manager who seems hell bent on protecting our own goal rather than putting the ball in their's. Reed, your run of good fortune has run out and somehow you have conspired to hire Monsieur Branfoot. The dreamy heights we have reached over the last few seasons are now well and truly over. Our reluctance to push on has now left us with a dull manager, squad and plàying style......well done!.

Careful people, don't get carried away, some people on here thought Zlatan was saints bound lol. Sturridge would be perfect for us but these type of big name players never join saints these days.
