Reading tonights posts gave me a good laugh. Good one guys! Amazing how we can still be upbeat despite now being a league 1 club and suffering so much ****e on and off the field these last few years. -

I've been thinking about this. He still may well be actively involved even if he is not part of the funding side of the bid. Perhaps he will be offered a role on the board, who knows! Niall Quinn! -

I did'nt say that he was actively involved did I, but he would not be endorsing a bid that had Lowe's involvement would he. -

Lets hope it is MLT or Souness then there is absolutely no chance Lowe will ever be involved again. -
I'm amazed how many friends my fellow posters have!

I would'nt. I think that work rate and fitness is important in league 1. Skill and quality passing will be in limited supply so you will need a forward that will seek the ball rather than wait for it to come to him.

I feel this thread and related threads be locked now until a decision is made. I am concerned that itk'ers scrapping on here will not help the cause one bit and in fact possibly harm what is going on in the background. -

We should'nt be surprised that there are PR people monitoring and getting involved on these threads, jeeze, Lowe used them often enough. But there does seem to be a few posters determined to out anyone who is suspicious just because they themselves are not in the loop. Give it up guys and let these people do their business, after all, we want a club at the end of this, and at the moment I would be happy just to have my club back alive and kicking to support. We seem fixated on who it is rather than the fact that they are our potential life line. -
Perhaps (including myself btw) we are all understandably panicking and perhaps things are all under control and progressing. Throughout all of this ****, Fry for some reason gives me some sort of confidence that our club will be saved and emerge out of the ashes. That is all I have to cling onto at this moment in time.

Agree its all getting tiresome. I thought it was mentioned that there was likely to be an announcement before the forest game regarding a rescue package! It also was said that if nothing happened by the forest game the club could cease to be. It would be a help to the suffering fans if a certain amount of meat was put on the bones if not for sanity sake, health sake, were dying here!

Sorry but I am not well versed in this sort of thing but, does the buyer have to pay off the mortage, can he not just continue the payments and clear any unpaid payments?

Perhaps they realise that a different type of player is needed to get us out of League 1.
-
Just say we do get bought out and a side is built to get us back to the championship, I just wonder what players will be available. Are there many ex prem/championship players willing to play in League 1.
-
Could be the Conference!

Presuming we do kick off in League 1 next season, what sort of player/s will we need to hold our own in that league. Last season many of us were concerned with the reliance on kids in what is a roughty toughty league. Even if many of them were talented, being kicked off the park is no fun by seasoned pro's. It did'nt take long for the old confidence to be knocked and after a few nice performances it all went downhill quickly. I have not watched too much League 1 footy, is it more of the same, worse or easier. What type of player is going to help us grind out results?
