  1. Perhaps that is now the reason for our declining gates then GM. And there was I thinking you were blaming it on the anti Lowes.
  2. 100% in agreement with that!
  3. What a pile of guano. Is there anything positive to discuss regarding Saints atm!
  4. I sort of understand where Longhshot is coming from. If a couple of losses mean't that Lowe and Wilde stepped down I think the sacrifice would be worth it, but to be honest, I think unless removed somehow, they will hang around for a long time yet. What worries me about you thread Longshot, correct me if I am wrong, but was it not you and who had some sort of inside info about going's on in the board room and a possible change happening soon?
  5. Well done the saints for another heroic loss, thats what I like to see, the old British Bulldog spirit, go down but go down fighting. Actually, I have a British Bulldog, he cost me a fortune, he only wakes up to be fed, he smells bad, and he will occasionally sh*t on the carpet. Seriously, I don't really care any more if we play well but still lose, now, only wins count and if we don't start doing so on a more regular basis we are sunk.
  6. 35) Got rid of Pearson
  7. It looked like that last saturday. Ironic really, being that the reason many did not want Billy Davies here was the perception that he gets teams to play hoof. We seem now to only play the flowing passing game on the odd occassion which says to me that the Total Football concept has already been dumped.
  8. The problem with all of this is that, Lowes cost cutting measures might bring some sort of temporary financial respite, but the end result is an inadequate team that cannot compete is this league. If, as a result of all of this we are relegated, we will be in far worse financial sh*te than we are now.
  9. And if buy chance we do loan the odd gem, it only benefits us short term.
  10. I agree with what you are saying but I still think that Lowes removal would have some sort of positive impact. It is not just because he is disliked by so many, it is also because of his cranky decisions, his gambles on untried and untested coaching staff, his input on team affairs, his reliance on playing a team of kids, his belief that anything of any quality must be sold or loaned out at all cost's irrespective of how it effects the team and results. He might be balancing the books but the club is still dying. I would be more than happy if Lowe and Wilde stepped down, paid a little more and got a manager in with some experience. Even if it mean't keeping the current squad I am sure there would be some positive impact. God knows we need it.
  11. I do love the way Crouch seems to get all the blame for Wildes financial mishaps.
  12. When Wenger joined the arse he was relatively unknown in English football but was known to the rest of europe. Apparently he turned down approaches by Bayern Munich and the French national team before he chose Arsenal. As far as JP is concerned, If I remember correctly, the Dutch fans did not rate him much either. You can hardly compare his previous to that of Wenger´s.
  13. I agree that we are in a financial hole but don't cover it up with "Building a young side" and "Total Football" labels. Let's face it, realistically it should be described as "Total survival" and "If your any good your gone". So ok, if the sale of these young players plug financial holes, where does that leave saints as a footballing side. It will help to a small degree as far as finance is concerned, but we are sure going to drop like a stone football wise. It hurts when you watch a game on Sky and the commentator mentions that Lallana is getting interest from prem clubs, and that Surman has interest from Pompey of all clubs, and Spiderman seems set to leave, might I add, whilst we are getting beat, and you just think to yourself, jeese, we are sh*te with these three players, what will be like when they have gone!
  14. I don´t understand why people think that JP has something to give as far as coaching is involved. yes, nice guy and all that, but he has done nothing to prove to me that he can coach at this level. Ok, you might well say that he is working under terrible restraints and is having to play inexperienced kids, but that was the exact reason why he was brought in was'nt it? I feel that there are some promising kids in our side but the results tell a different picture. Lone striker up front at a home game, is that the sign of good coaching? Constant changing of player positions and even playing guys out of position. What on earth gives anyone the idea that he is or could be a good coach?
  15. I'll be behind you with my tenner, just a small role for me, i'm not bothered. DOF, that's fine with me.
  16. Morgan Stanley Morph! Wha hoooooooooooooooooooo\\:D/
  17. Not being funny, but how do you know JP is a good coach?
  18. Shop window, I feel that more priority is being given to showing these players off rather than building a strong team. How can you build a strong team when there are and will be a conveyor belt of players coming and going. How can it benefit us as a unit with a continual change of personell, the only ones who benefit are the player and the team that has loaned him. On sky last night it was mentioned that our lineup in defence was the eighth different combination. Yes I know injuries has played a part, but it does go to show how destructive a constant change in players can be.
  19. That´s what Lowe said at the start of the season. How is that possible? Surman and Lallana may be off in the transfer window if rumours are to be believed. Numerous loan players in is hardly a good basis for building a team. Most of these will be off when the loan expires as we can´t afford to buy them. Surley all he is really doing with our young talent is putting them in the shop window regardless of how results go.
  20. Perhaps the loan arranger may help us to have more than one lone striker:p
  21. Yes I feel we have missed Holmes badly, but even so, it will take a lot more than his inclusion to sort this out. Not convinced that Svensson will ever be fit enough to have an extended run which makes me angry because I feel the defence was overlooked at the start of the season because the powers that be depended too much on the miraculous return of Svensson. This side is simply not good enough. Even the pretty total football is disappearing after witnessing saints aimlessly hoofing it upfield today. We are extremely weak and vulnerable in defence and toothless up front with no creative play in midfield. How we managed to win at Preston last week I will never know.
  22. Well done the lads, keep it going now. Best saturday in ages!
