I agree but I wouldn't be surprised if Saints are looking at Monk. The likes of Mancini as an example will demand much more as far as funds for players are concerned, backroom staff and possibly may not buy into the youth policy setup etc.

Plus it doesn't help when your main provider Tadic is having his worst season ever. Thinking about it, we have the talented Tadic, Boufal and Redmond who have all the skills to get past players but then brainstorm and try it again and invariably lose the opportunity to deliver the final ball to Gabbi, very frustrating!.

i thought he had a good game last night apart from one terrible pass which man u did not capitalise on. He looks to be toughening up a bit in a tackle as well.

I thought Redmpond was more wasteful last night tbf. The odd thing is the amount of talented players we have all misfiring.

Man U field weakened side, Gabbi misses first half pen in a rather dull half. Saints up their game 2nd half and make their keeper work. Their keeper gets Motm making standard saves. Saints still lack that killer finish despite good build up play.

At the start of the season I would have been happy with that definitely but what a load of durge we have had to witness apart from a handful of games. Had we played like we did in the Efl final and finished where we are now I would have been more than happy, but the negative football we have had to witness has been soul destroying.

I see that the game against pool and us has sparked off a debate on Talk Sport about ways to make the game more exciting ie zero points for a nil nil draw.

As nothing rides on this game for us perhaps having a bit more of a go at them would be a bit more positive.
