There's no way we are short of cash but why tell all the other clubs that you've got loads of money to spend? Main issue is most likely that our wage bill hasn't got much room for manoeuvre.

I know some people have written Hesketh off already but how old is he and how old was Lallana when he finally came to fruition in League 1 then the Championship? Hesketh is the same age as Lallana was in our 2nd season in league 1 so you could argue he still has a year or 2 left to prove he can make it at this level. He does need a loan though as he won't get enough competitive football here.

I know he didn't play but he obviously hasn't had acceptable time away from football/rest if he's already playing in competitive matches, one wonders if that contributed to him getting injured.

He needs regular games which 90% chance he won't get in this league. Get Sisto, Promes, Ghoddos or any other good more experienced player in his position in then loan him out.

Saman Ghoddos who plays for Ostersunds is a player we should be looking to get. Rated very highly by a Iranian I know and looked very good against Arsenal last season. Shouldn't cost much either.
