  1. Due a song surely. Been here two and a bit seasons now, clearly the negativity around him was affecting him last year as Hughes has alluded to several times recently. If he responds positively to support then would be great if we could sing about him. As I'm lacking anything original then the old 'Yannick Bolasie runs down the wing for me' song would be a good fit (especially now he does seem to want to actually run down the wing!) if there isn't anything better. Very impressed by his improvement so far this season.
  2. He’s pathetic, people are so blind if they think we can’t do better than him. That ‘defending’ today was Sunday league stuff, absolutely baffling.
  3. Can anyone tell me anything that Cedric does even remotely well? I can’t think of a player so regularly at fault for goals we’ve conceded in our history.
  4. Cedric  I’ve heard Ali Dia’s been asking him for tips on how to trick people into thinking you’re a footballer
  5. Thought it was weird Yoshida wasn’t fit for last weekend. Find it worrying that he’s not in the squad this weekend! Whats going on?
  6. Burnely are the only prem club that would sign Vydra, that's the level of player they sign, Championship level players than Dyche manages to get the absolute maximum out of which creates a decent team. You only have to look at the players that have left for 'better' teams and not done a lot like Michael Keane and Andre Gray. Hendrick, George Boyd, Robbie Brady, Ashley Barnes, Nahki Wells are all Championship players. Vydra would have been a terrible signing for us.
  7. Yoshida Vestergaard (may be better than Yoshida but it's early days) Bednarek Stephens Every other CB in the club, down to U7's Hoedt
  8. Is it definitely Tuesday?

    Redmond

That situation with Pep was the biggest load of ******** I'd ever heard. If he thought Redmond was that good then he'd have signed him. He was annoyed that little old Southampton had nearly nicked a point off of his superstars, and tried to make himself look good by saying it was a compliment to Redmond. As per, all the media outlets lapped it up.
  10. Or a 5. Probably a 6 either, and maybe not a 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 to be honest.

    Redmond

Agree completely. Very, very frustrating to see him run down the left, turn round and pass it back to someone else. Today he was popping up everywhere and mixing things up a lot, much improved and hopefully gets a couple of goals soon to get some more detractors back onside.
  12. Hopefully he'll have given Hughes the confidence to play just a flat 4 at the back. That stretched clearance to deny Chris Wood a tap in was absolutely superb, and showed his great anticipation and a bit of agility. As someone above has said, may get killed by the top forwards but hopefully we won't be conceding too many back post headed goals this season like we did so often last year. Very impressive.
  13. Safe and easy and with an actual chance of being sung would just be Spurs’ Danny Rose song - Daddy Cool by Boney M Danny, Danny Iiiings Danny, Danny Iiiings
  14. Happy knowing it’s a loan. Would’ve been absolutely embarrassed knowing we’d spent £20mil as was rumoured in recent weeks.
  15. Welbeck would make this a great transfer window, I just still can't see it happening. I'd be absolutely buzzing to be wrong.
  16. Came here for deadline news, got same old same old pointless discussion
  17. I seem to remember people being het up about a photo of Cedric in London at least one transfer window before. Think he just goes there a lot relax guys.
  18. He was last year. But we were shocking defensively. He could makes us a hell of a lot more solid defensively, and I don't think Targett would limit us that much more in an attacking sense. Personally. But yeah ideally we have Bertrand at LCB and Bertrand at LWB in a perfect world.
  19. Seen it mentioned by others but I don't see any reason why Bertrand can't be 'our Walker' in a back 3. Adds the much needed pace to the 3 and allows Yoshida and Vestergaard to do all the aerial work whilst Bertrand cleans up like Walker did for England in the World Cup. Then allows Targett to be the LWB, which he did well for us on occasion, providing a couple of good assists, and obviously was a very attacking full back for Fulham last year.
  20. I liked Pied. I saw him play once, against Palace at home which may have been one of only two starts? He got a good assist for Long to end that crazy drought he was on, and kept Zaha silent for the whole game despite clearly being absolutely knackered due to lack of match fitness. So he got one assist in two starts (and it was for Long which surely is more like 1.5!), compared to Cedric's 3 assists in 32 games. And people genuinely don't think we could get a better right back than Cedric...
  21. Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely THIS. Not sure how people don't see it. There's only so many times Gabbi can check his run before he ends up straying offside or running into traffic, because the player with the ball has taken soooooo long to release the pass. No one passes it first time anymore for us, it's always two or three touches first which just kills a striker that relies on his brain more than his legs, like Austin or Gabbi. Look at most of Gabbi's goals for us - near post flick in the cup final, bouncing ball in the box in the cup final, rebound from a long distance shot vs. Watford, bouncing ball in the box vs. Swansea away, bouncing ball in the box vs. Burnley away. He is brilliant in the box, but if the ball is never in the box then he may as well sit in the stands.
  22. LOL ask Spurs fans what they'd think about letting Winks go for 10-20m. Double it and add a bit and they'd probably consider listening, they think he's the next big English CM. Only we, in this market, would think £10mil for JWP is fair. We are turning down offers of £15mil for Targett. We accepted £16mil for Chambers about 4 years ago. He's English, he has an England cap, he's 23, he has played over 100 Premier League games, he has captained England youth sides. To counter all the 'if we were signing him from Watford we'd be up in arms' thing - If he was Spanish, with those attributes, we'd all be buzzing that we'd found the next Xavi or something stupid. He's decent, we are better when he plays, his deadball delivery is superb, you only have to look at Bednarek's goal at home to Chelsea this season. The players getting on the end of the delivery tend to be **** however. And if you don't appreciate his delivery then you clearly haven't been at games when Tadic and Bertrand have been taking corners to nobody. I personally will be very disappointed if we sell him.
  23. I don’t see it happening in a million years but i’d be over the ****ing moon if Danny Welbeck was wearing a Saints shirt at the end of this week.
  24. Im still adamant we are better when he plays, be very disappointed if he goes.
  25. Would be pleased if he could be replaced by someone better in the air and better in his final ball. It seems to be suggested on here that it’d be impossible for little old Southampton to find a right back who could provide those things, but I really don’t see why, Cedric is just not very good. Targett, a left footed, left back, playing at right back, showed the other night that it is actually possible to deliver a cross to one of the team’s attacking players (twice!).
