  1. Fonte also replied to that post saying 'trust the process'
  2. Various Twitter sources now saying a deal to Chelsea is close. So there we have it, he's now officially been close to joining all three teams that were interested this summer. Are Chelsea using us to get a deal done for Bonucci? Or is this the beginning of the end of this saga?
  3. I don't remember many people in the press urging him to do so though to be fair, which is what has people irritated here.
  4. But Bayern should be grateful that someone wants to buy their players! They'll make a profit they should be pleased with that! Stop whining about those pesky 'rule' things, bloody Bayern, crying like babies because someone spoiled their auction, small time lol.
  5. I don't think City and Chelsea will though, seems like Liverpool are putting up more than anyone else to try and attract him, from an article I read. If City or Chelsea were offering the same money he'd undoubtedly want to go there, everyone wants to play for a big club but at the end of the day money talks.
  6. They are genuinely the worst club in the world
  7. If he had have scored his open goal against Inter Milan at the San Siro we'd have got through to the knockout's of the Europa League, id rather focus on that than the goals he scored against Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Bournemouth.
  8. I'd be disappointed with any of those names, but Hodgson would be the least disappointing by a hell of a distance. He has a proven track record of success in multiple countries, with multiple clubs. Martinez has minor success and plenty of failure, and Giggs has absolutely nothing.
  9. Of course, but circumstance play a part too. Virg is our best player, and he's on a five year deal and we apparently don't want to sell. Sakho is not only surplus to requirements but is actually feuding with the manager and the club, has 3 years left on his deal according to a quick google (not bad from Liverpool's point of view but its not 5 years), and is out with a knee injury. There is no way we should be stumping up our record transfer fee for him, even in this crazy inflated market, they are desperate to get rid.
  10. Actually would not be that adverse to Vieira. Bit of an outside the box one which is kind of what I favour.
  11. Just a couple other random football accounts too. Doing my head in seeing all these scouse prats saying 'everybody wins' if VVD goes their way and we get Sakho. In what universe do we win?
  12. Few on Twitter reckon we're leading the race for Sakho. Annoyingly the assumption that follows is that we'll be happy to send VVD the other way if we get Sakho. Liverpool fans also seem to value Sakho at £30-£40mil , mental. A centre half who's played hardly any football in the last 2 years (although was very good at Palace), presumably doesn't have that much longer left on his contract, has a long term knee injury and has damaged relations with the club beyond repair. If we pay anything above £20million I despair.
  13. Would Southgate be good enough for us too? Plenty of failed Premier League manager's go onto International management. Martinez was a fraud before he went to Everton never understood how he had such a good reputation as he took a Wigan side that had just had its record Premier League finish under Steve Bruce, to constant relegation candidates until finally taking them down. Definitely would not be good for us.
  14. Everton didn't spend any money other than what they got for Stones last year. Theyre spending money at the moment but it's more than likely it's the Lukaku money in advance. But they're yet to replace the 20 goal striker that separates them from us. So i'll wait until the season starts to go all 'why aren't we like Everton?' because at the moment they're behaving just like we do.
  15. Think cigarettes were the least of Mutu's worries!
  16. Yeah I assumed it would've been released around 9/10am, weird that it's gone quiet
  17. Thanks!
  18. He essentially has ruled out a move to the Premier League then, for this season at least. Klopp, Mourinho, Pochettino, Guardiola, Conte's jobs are about as secure as is possible in football.
  19. I couldn't find the market on Betfair, I was trying to look after your last post, could you possibly provide a link please?
  20. Delph was the token Englishman for City, like Rodwell and Sinclair, he's not a great player, he just runs about a lot and puts in a lot of hard tackles. We could sign a foreign guy to do just that for about £5mil with no English premium. Smalling had the media on side in the 2015/2016 season for some reason, but he's awful as was displayed at the Euro's. Jose knows this too and would rather play a mismatch back four than play Smalling unless he was absolutely forced to. Just because a player plays for Man United, doesn't mean he is good.
  21. If he genuinely is not interested, then the club would've known this before 5 minutes ago (if they were interested in him). There's no way we've waited 'til a month after the season ends to sack Puel without knowing who his replacement will be if everything goes to plan.
  22. He hasn't, 'Sky sources' say he has. Whenever they don't put a name to their 'sources' it's normally because it's word of mouth. I don't see why he would want to come to us, he is destined for bigger, but 'Sky sources' mean nothing these days.
  23. Without wanting to sound blinded, and noting that i've never been confident Tuchel would be interested in us, i'm loathe to live by 'sky sources' anymore. Until the club or the individual (in this case Tuchel) say it, then I don't believe it.
  24. Given that our last three 'big' CB signings have been Lovren, Alderweireld and Van Dijk, i'd be very disappointed if we signed Smalling. He really isn't very good and gets away with constant shirt pulling that would get penalised if he played for us. No thanks, clumsy.
  25. I miss K.Billy and Guan
