    Puel out

If Puel has to go (i'd rather he didn't) then Jokanovic for me, almost every single fan of a Championship team i've spoke to this season (including Brighton and Newcastle fans) say that Fulham 'are the best team in the league' and play great football. Hes dragged them from relegation candidates to that, having also got Watford up a couple of years ago. Failing that maybe Wagner from Huddersfield, play great football but don't know if I could handle Klopp mark 2.
  2. Would be surprised if Spurs let Rose and Walker go in one summer, and would be even more surprised if Bertrand went to potentially play second fiddle to Rose. Chelsea would make sense, he clearly never gave up on them given that he didn't re-locate, and also with Champions League football they'll want competition in that LWB position. Arsenal also would make sense, given that they've played wing backs lately and they don't really have a good enough left sided one.
  3. Ankle ligaments I believe
  4. Very well until the penalty area where he was isolated and doing a lot on his own, but can certainly beat a player or 3 and very quick, definitely caught the eye. As mentioned, Sanchez was fantastic, for anyone that didn't watch it Lingard was through on goal and Sanchez just came out of nowhere and swept up, must've made up a good 10 yards on Lingard who was fresh legged after just coming on. De Ligt also looked very good and powerful despite his size.
  5. Seemed very popular and I enjoyed his contribution to the club, not least in scoring probably the best goal i've ever seen live. Could think of worse back-up right backs, good luck to him. But yes, not the world-class full back that Everton think they ought to be signing.

    Puel out

Absolutely this - I expect unanimous well wishing of departing players and managers on here for eternity. We can't be happy to dispose and then cry about being disposed of. Loyalty is a two way street.
  7. Would be a real shame to see Bertrand go, but being objective and with the way that we run, it's probably 'his turn' as bad as it is to think that way. He's been a consistent top performer since he got here and would be approaching his 4th season now which is unusual for a good player of ours. Having said that, as far as i'm aware he never moved from his home when he left Chelsea and appears very family orientated, not sure how desperate he'd be to move up north to City or Liverpool, even if the money is a bit better. Can see Chelsea sniffing around and if that's the case i'd be shocked if he didn't go.

    Puel out

Where's that **** that used to moan when Pelle even breathed? He was a great player for us who, like Lambert before him, did way more in his link up with other players than was appreciated. For the first time in nearly 10 years, we are playing without a strong target man up top, and we are half the side for it.
  9. Our quality of cross has been appalling more often that not this season. The cup final it was fantastic. But I can't remember a season when I have seen so many of our crosses go straight out for goal kicks.
  10. Gabbi's second goal at Wembley even if the outcome wasn't the fairytale ending, what a moment with 30,000 other Saints fans all swinging scarves and singing louder than ever. Closely followed by Arsenal away in the cup, my first game at The Emirates and a great performance coupled with 5,000 odd Saints fans going mad, brilliant.
  11. No, no, no! It's because he doesn't do a good interview!! He shouldn't make an effort to speak English when he's not perfect at it, he should use a translator instead like Pochettino!
  12. Never have I wanted a player to stay so badly, just to shove two fingers up to all the ****s in the media that have been shopping him around all season. Even when he doesn't play it's all the commentators can talk about. Just **** off already.

    Puel out

If we finish 8th, having got to a cup final, and Puel is still sacked, can we then please drop all that ******** about not having any ambition etc. Because to me, 8th is as high as we should realistically be on spending power unless one of the big boys has a disaster again. So if our board aren't happy with that, then presumably they have the 'ambition' that people are so desperate for.
  14. What happens if a player forces contact? i.e. stops running suddenly to ensure a player goes into the back of him. All sorts of permuatations for this idea. As alluded to above, wonder how effectively this will be enforced against the 'big' teams? Will the FA be willing to ban Dele Alli before a big clash between Spurs and Chelsea? Will they ****. EDIT: Will they be retrospectively punishing clever play too? As that's what English players do instead of diving, according to the pundits and media.
  15. Haha like boo-urns. It was without a doubt booing of the decision to withdraw JWP unfortunately. Obviously booing the decision rather than the man making it... ah no, probably not, ****s.
  16. It's funny how these things work, isn't it? I saw someone say Cedric hadn't improved under Puel the other day. Cedric, that used to be dropped for Martina or even Yoshida as a RB, but is now one of our best players, hasn't improved under Puel... Romeu has gone from bit part player to absolutely outstanding every game, playing in arguably a more difficult role and with less cover beside him. Yoshida has been brilliant, as has JWP.

    Boufal

Has the ability to beat two or three players with absolute ease, which he did once or twice last night. Does have a tendency however to want to do it too deep. He will however, not be given time to adapt and improve, he is exactly the sort of player that fans love to hate unfortunately. We could have a brilliant player on our hands who is capable of turning games on their head, something we have been crying out for all season to make something out of the nice football we play up until the final third. But there's a good chance he won't be given the chance to be that player.
  18. That was a great save, has there been any debate about that?
  19. I personally wasn't moaning about the sub, just that it was JWP that was the victim of it. For me Davis along with Tadic was poor, either of those should have gone off. This wasn't an anti-Puel thread, i'm very much pro-Puel and want him to stay, just appreciating the fans' change of attitude towards Ward-Prowse.
  20. Yeah I wasn't booing either but was also disappointed. Tadic particularly stood out to me as terrible, has been for the majority of the season in my opinion. I'm often suggesting that loyalty works both ways so we can't moan about players wanting to leave if we are suggesting the club gets rid of players they don't want, but for me i'd be quite happy if we sold Tadic now.
  21. Can't see him being given much credit on here so felt he deserved his own thread. Not sure how I feel about people booing a manager's decision to substitute a player but felt it was testament to how much Prowsey has improved this season, that would never have been the case back in September. Now find myself disappointed when he's not in the side, didn't think that would ever happen. He's not going to be a regular match winner type to drag us through games but he is always looking for the ball and very rarely wastes it, his composure in an attacking sense has improved vastly this season and the shot that forced a great save out of Romero would have been blasted miles over the bar a few months back. He's taken a bit of a battering on here sometimes but he finally seems to have found his feet and be worth his place in the team.
  22. If he could Cruyff turn in his own penalty area and then moan at his own fans then City would be trying to sign him for £50mil. He was absolutely superb last night. Also loved him getting in Tadic's face in the first half after he tried to have a go at everyone. For a youngster who's only played a handful of games to take on the responsibility of telling a senior player to pull his ****ing finger out shows great strength of character. Have noticed before he's definitely got a bit of spike, often seems to be having verbals with opposition striker's.
  23. Literally just you...
  24. The best example was in the first half when he won the ball and flicked it off to Redmond and made an instant movement which needed a 5 yard pass to put him through on goal. but instead Redmond checked back onto his right foot and tried to chip it to Ward-Prowse on the right only to put it straight out of play. Redmond was then on sceeen with his arms out mouthing 'run', presumably at JWP which was astonishing because not only was it the wrong choice of pass it was an absolutely woeful execution. Gabbi, like Austin, needs quick thinking from the players around him, and it doesn't happen.
  25. Besides Romeu, our midfield is shocking. Thats the problem here.
