  1. For me Mane hasn't improved at Liverpool, he's as good as he was here. Was vastly underrated by some here, his quality is reflected by how much we've struggled for goals this season. He's a game changer and match winner on his own, still adamant he'll be one of the top players in world football one day. He's still only 23.
  2. I reckon all the other clubs in the Prem would be rolling out the red carpet for us next season if we manage to force a Liverpool transfer ban. This is just a fantastic turn of events.
  3. Reading their forum is nauseating and their suggestions that they should give us Sakho to keep us happy is hurting my eyes. They think their unwanted centre half who has severed ties beyond repair and who recently did his knee ligaments (presumably out for the best part of 8 months?) is worth £30 MILLION!!!! Incredible.
  4. Yeah i'm not convinced he's going to stay at all. But I feel like i'll be slightly less gutted if he goes, after today, because we look to have ****ed over those horrible bastards in the process. If they get a year's transfer ban i'll be absolutely over the moon, but I think given the Premier League's love of Liverpool, it probably wouldn't happen.
  5. Probably small time but anyone else ****ing buzzing that this has happened?
  6. I can't lie i'd only ever heard of Schmidt on here, but i'd love Tuchel, so much so that I can't believe there's any chance of it happening. But if we kept Virg, and added a new first choice CB (i'm a big fan of Yoshida and Stephens, but there is definitely room for improvement), then i'm not sure i'd be too scared about being 'too open' as with Romeu in from our defence would be good enough to cope.
  7. Alonso has been good for Chelsea this year, but since Chelsea are a club that usually have two great players for every position and since Conte's formation change that hasn't been the case. Now they're in the Champions League, great back up is going to be vital, and I think Bertrand would push Alonso into being that great back up in the wing back role. Would make sense if they came in for him.
  8. Not gonna lie I wouldn't care if he got the Pompey badge tattooed on his back if he meant he stuck around a bit longer, he'll have no making up to do the bloke's ****ing superb.
  9. Go and get a job
  10. F U C K Liverpool
  11. Must be really difficult to have been playing Championship/League 1 as a youngster and probably think you've made it, and then just slip away. Am I right in recalling that he scored our first goal of our 'new era'? Home to Millwall?
  12. Stones set the bar for defenders this season, and he's **** (even accounting for the being English bit) and despite what the media like to tell us, in my opinion, he will never be a top centre half, he will never dominate a centre forward like Virg can (i know that's not everything). So £50mil shouldn't get you Van Dijk. If we don't sell him this summer, City etc will have to get someone else, and he'll probably be better than Stones so he'll probably cost around £60mil, but he probably won't be as good as Virg. So, next summer, the bar will have been set at whatever this new defender costs, and Virg will be worth even more (providing he doesn't get injured). Keep him, for **** sake.
  13. Is this... is this happening?
  14. General consensus is yes they are, 10%
  15. Recently switched to 5Live during the coverage of the Manchester attack and have decided to remain there, choosing to listen to non-football discussion over TalkSport because it's that bad
  16. How can you be 'very close' to signing someone but still be in a position to be blown out the water by someone else? Doesn't that just mean you want to sign someone? I can't stand that **** he's a parody on TalkSport (not that most of them aren't).
  17. I agree, Les Reed is useless, let's get in someone like whoever deals with Sunderland's transfers so we can recruit complete turd that nobody wants to buy, who then see out their contracts and leave on a free meaning we have to replace them with more turd. Why can't we just be so **** that nobody wants to buy our players ffs.. I hate this 'buy a good player, sell him for a huge profit, replace him with two good players and then still come top half' thing we do ** I realise the 'replace him with two good players thing' hit a bit of a snag this summer, but the previous two it's worked a charm, it's not going to be perfect every time.
  18. Wow. The home kit i've wanted for years and it wasn't even my era. I always see the retro version in store and have been tempted by it for so long but this version is absolutely ****ing beautiful, i'm actually in love.
  19. Kind of, but at the same time it seemed like a case of set an unrealistic wage request, knowing that if you get it then you're laughing, but more than likely you'll finally get to leave the club properly rather than being loaned out again and not be able to potentially progress your career.
  20. Always been a fan of Tadic and feel that when he plays well we tend to win. However, he has been poor all season and so has his attitude. He clearly think he is better than us, whereas we are very much his level. He featured heavily in that article about Koeman 'damaging players' confidence' last season, then moaned publicly about Puel substituting him, and also has fallen out with the Serbia manager. Surely, the third time, he has to start wondering whether it's him rather than the manager's. Would no longer be sad to see him go. Get someone in who turns up for more than 10 games a season.

    Puel out

If Puel has to go (i'd rather he didn't) then Jokanovic for me, almost every single fan of a Championship team i've spoke to this season (including Brighton and Newcastle fans) say that Fulham 'are the best team in the league' and play great football. Hes dragged them from relegation candidates to that, having also got Watford up a couple of years ago. Failing that maybe Wagner from Huddersfield, play great football but don't know if I could handle Klopp mark 2.
  22. Would be surprised if Spurs let Rose and Walker go in one summer, and would be even more surprised if Bertrand went to potentially play second fiddle to Rose. Chelsea would make sense, he clearly never gave up on them given that he didn't re-locate, and also with Champions League football they'll want competition in that LWB position. Arsenal also would make sense, given that they've played wing backs lately and they don't really have a good enough left sided one.
  23. Ankle ligaments I believe
  24. Very well until the penalty area where he was isolated and doing a lot on his own, but can certainly beat a player or 3 and very quick, definitely caught the eye. As mentioned, Sanchez was fantastic, for anyone that didn't watch it Lingard was through on goal and Sanchez just came out of nowhere and swept up, must've made up a good 10 yards on Lingard who was fresh legged after just coming on. De Ligt also looked very good and powerful despite his size.
  25. Seemed very popular and I enjoyed his contribution to the club, not least in scoring probably the best goal i've ever seen live. Could think of worse back-up right backs, good luck to him. But yes, not the world-class full back that Everton think they ought to be signing.
