  1. I always feel like this is because Tadic often delays the final ball, meaning Gabbi has already made his move and has to adjust and get back onside again. With Pelle it's okay because if the run has gone then you can just put it in the air and he'll win it, Gabbi can't do that. But it does seem like a match made in heaven so hopefully we see the benefit.
  2. Wouldn't necessarily expect 'significantly better' than what we already have, just a better balance. We need a warrior who's going to dominate in the air and tell the others where to be, I don't think they're all as individually bad as people make out, I just think they all need someone to tell them what to do sometimes. Hegazi's got a bit of bite about him, he'll be an improvement I think, especially at that price.
  3. Would definitely take Hegazi, and £2.5m in this day and age would be insanely cheap
  4. My mate’s a Fulham fan, they have an allocation of 38k for the play off final, and season ticket holders can purchase up to 5 tickets if they want to. Make no mistake we’d have sold it out had we gone with that criteria.
  5. I’ve always felt that Ryan is destined to end up back at Chelsea, if anywhere. He’s clearly still got an affinity with them and the area, be interesting to know whether that’d be enough to stop him going to Spurs though if they came in for him.
  6. Three brilliant ones, also like the Rickie vs City one, and would also say Rickie off the bench against Chelsea to bring us back to 2-2. God I love that bloke.
  7. I'm in no doubt whatsoever that he's the worst manager we've ever had. I'm in almost no doubt whatsoever that he's the worst manager the Premier League has ever seen. Nothing about timescales, he didn't try to win football matches, that is sensational for a Premier League manager.
  8. Ridiculous for Bertrand to miss out. Rose has played 10 games this season, one of which being when they conceded 4 goals to a Leicester team on Sunday, who haven’t scored freely for months.
  9. I would be pleased with Hughes staying. But agree, if it's not to be him then it absolutely has to be Jokanovic.
  10. I agree, I want Hughes to stay, but I would be concerned about a manager in this day and age with entire control over everything. I've been excited by the idea of Hughes' patchy transfer history at Stoke not being an issue for us because he wouldn't have total control of transfers, but if he doesn't want a DOF then I don't think we should want him. Hopefully it's just a rumour and him and Les can strike up a good balance where he's not a bumbling yes man like MP, but he doesn't have full control.
  11. 1) He’ll probably have better clubs than us after him 2) We probably won’t pay the money needed to pick the best players off a rival But Pascal Gross from Brighton is absolutely mustard, Tadic-esque, almost every pass i’ve seen him play has been perfect. Was the highest chance creator in the Bundesliga a couple of seasons ago, and has gone on to be pivotal for Brighton this year.
  12. Cedric presumably going to be Portugal’s right back as well. They play Spain, Iran and Morocco. Him vs Boufal would be interesting!
  13. Must say i’ve been extremely critical of him the last two seasons, mainly out of frustration that he’s seemed undroppable when at times he’s been way below standard. However, in the last 3 weeks I think i’ve fallen back in love with him, i’ve never seen him so passionate and driven, he’s looked like he’s having the time of his life. Been an absolute joy to watch.
  14. Billy Davies didn't have a team that had just come 8th and got to a cup final. He had a team that had come 3rd in the Championship, full of Championship players and journeymen. He was also sacked by December, so he wasn't even primarily responsible for that awful season. Pellegrino, with the resources available to him, was the worst manager this league has ever seen, for me.
  15. Without doubt, in my opinion, the worst manager the Premier League has ever seen. He may work elsewhere, but certainly not in this league. Notable was Boufal's reaction after his wonder goal vs. West Brom. I personally enjoyed that, because I thought he'd been handled appallingly by MP, but nonetheless a manager should not stand for that. Look at how Hughes has treated Boufal after what appears to be a similar disagreement. Soft, out of his depth, painfully **** 'style' of football. Thank god for Mark Hughes (never thought I'd have said that 12 months ago).
  16. ------------------------ McCarthy ---------------- ---- Cedric/New RB----CB / CB------Bertrand -------------------- Romeu Hojbjerg --------------------- Lemina ----- Mane-esque-------- CF---------- Tadic For me, after the last few weeks, that's how we should be. I could take or leave any of the others. I don't think any of our CB's are that bad individually, but no combination could play together as a two. We desperately, desperately need pace with quality combined, whether that's Sisto or Promes who knows, but we need a Mane type. Again, I wouldn't be against Austin or Gabbiadini being our main CF, but we need to supplement them properly otherwise they're not up to it on their own. The turnaround under Hughes has completely reaffirmed by thinking all along that whilst there are definitely some weaknesses, our squad really isn't as terrible as it's looked, but we had the Premier League's worst ever manager dragon us down. Some key players added, rather than wholesale changes, and we could be back to where we were under Koeman.
  17. Not very imaginative but the old Jay Rodriguez - Just can’t get enough - song would fit perfectly. Swansea fans weren’t far wrong when they said ‘you’ve only got one song’, we don’t have nearly enough for our players. Liverpool have about 4 for Salah ffs, don’t reckon we’ve got 4 for all our players combined.
  18. I actually think we’re going to win today. I don’t know why, i’ve just felt it all week.
  19. Considering how much we bang on about player and manager loyalty, I think it’d be pretty embarrassing if we didn’t give Hughes the job next season. Before this season I would’ve never wanted him as our manager, but he’s completely transformed us in the 8 weeks he’s been here and saved us from disaster. The least he deserves is a crack at it next year.
  20. He’s fantastic. He obviously gives a toss about the club, he just happens to look miserable. Perhaps that’s because we’ve been **** all season? He still bombs on constantly all game, and has provided key assists this season. I actually have a feeling he’s not going to leave this summer as well, he’s been talking too much this week in the press that it would be weird if he was trying to get a move away at the same time. If he goes, he should be thanked for staying as long as he has, he’s been a great servant in a time when we’re used to players leaving after 2 seasons, and he’s been a superb player for us.
  21. Thankfully I can watch Jon Moss blow the whistle on 94, despite the ball spending all of about 40 seconds in playing during the 3 minutes of stoppage time he added on, without throwing my TV across the room. Nothing like a good bit of consistency in this league. Absolute ******.
  22. Stephens spoke very highly of him in his post-match interview as well. Said he's such a great, nice lad. Be a real shame if he leaves, I think we are lucky to have him, just need to get the best out of him.
  23. I still think he stands off a hell of a lot, lets so many crosses and shots come in, and as mentioned he is so short that it's the easiest trick in the book to just stick a cross on him and let a Giroud/Murray/Depoitre/Welbeck/Vokes just nod it in at the back post. I rate his workrate/commitment, but not his ability, personally.
  24. Someone mentioned Cyrus Christie above, but actually Fulham's first choice right back is Ryan Fredericks and he's always looked pretty good whenever I've seen him. I really think we could do better than Cedric, defensively he's really poor at times and despite a couple of good crosses in the last two games his end product is far worse than any full back I can remember us having in recent years.
  25. Definitely would take Mawson, not sure about anyone else. Really not convinced by Butland, been awful this season but seems to avoid flak. Not sure we could facilitate Tadic and Shaqiri, and despite my constant criticism of Tadic I'd rather him than Shaqiri.
