  1. Absolutely, Wooten has many faults but he was the only leader on the pitch after /hammond went off yesterday and his battling qualities helped keep us in the game.
  2. Holmes was one of the few who played well attcking wise yesterday, prior to Antonio coming on
  3. Been in pubs around that area for all Saints last 3 or 4 games and had no problem at all. The area is no different to any in London if you act stupidly you may get in trouble but act responsibly you should be OK. I've not experienced any trouble since Millwall moved to New Den the old ground was a different case altogether
  4. Agreed good beer available especially if you like foreign beer, but is extremely small bar / pub
  5. Not only was their team dirty but there fans were amongst the worst in the country in the 70's I've seldom had problems at football in 44 years of watching Saints but Leeds fans have threatened me before the game outside the Dell in 1973, and I got a beating as did many Saints fans after the league cup semi 1st leg in 1978, thats why many Saints fans still hate them! Still had the last laugh on both of those occassions we beat them 3-1 in 1973 and then they lost to Sunderland in cup final the following week and we beat them in second leg of semi to get to league cup final. Although most of their fans seemed Ok whilst waiting for buses in queue after game the other week and we had good discussion on game and their team, still had some t*sser give it large even though thet won. Despite this still glad they deservedly won yesterday as I hate Man U and there plastic fans even more
  6. unlikely as there are no trains
  7. Trains are running fairly regularly but engineering works from Liverpool St so you need to get tube to Newbury Park then special bus to Ilford for trains onto Colchester which adds a little on to journey a dozen of us leaving Salisbury 8.20 due to get to Colchester 12.12 http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=534912#post534912
  8. Tickets sold, so even if season ticket holders don't turn up they are included in attendance. At last Season s match v Sheff Utd. due to snow official attendance 13,000 but I would be surprised if many more than 10,000 in ground that night
  9. If you get the 21.43 from Bletchley or 21.59 form Milton Keynes you can get back to Southampton by 00.36
  10. London Saints resident expert hasn't made his mind up yet, and having buses available again will make big difference to pibs we're likely to go to. Whitelocks is certainly a good one to start off with as reommended by a few others on other threads. Unfortunately you cannot PM me as I'm not a full member, but if you look for me on London Saints website under contacts you could email me with your mobile no. and I'll text you when we're on train up if you'd like to let you know where we are heading - I'm Terry the Tickets
  11. Thank christ for that more time in the pub before and after the game for me and mates now
  12. Plan of ground here you're in the first section behind the goal http://www.leedsunited.com/page/StadiumPlanAndPrices/0,,10273,00.html
  13. even with £2 extra its £24 for the majority of the ground, it would only be £27 for Centre stand seats and £21 for Chapel
  14. Excellent bit of footage
  15. Although the majority of the Kingsland isn't open at present,The North corner of the Kingsland is open i've moved my seats from Block 35 to Block 36 for Luton game, recieved the tickets today.
  16. Trains are running fairly regularly but engineering works from Liverppol St so you need to get tube to Newbury Park then special bus to Ilford for trains onto Colcheser which adds a little on to journey a dozen of us leaving Salisbury 8.20 due to get to Colchester 12.12
  17. If we do get the extra 1000 I think these will be behind the goal, Huddersfield had the corner + approximately 1000 behind the goal on saturday
  18. Yes initially for JPS matches with Torquay and Charlton, although tickets were avaialble in Northam Wing in end for Torquay and half the stand was eventually open for Charlton. I too sit in the Kingsland and had to sit in the Tichen for Torquay and absolutely hated it, it all seems more cramped and restricted in theat area and the facilities, tilets, bars etc. in the Kingsland IMO are far superior to those in the Itchen.
  19. There Southampton City training offices which go from above the ticket office / Radio Station to approximately half way down the Northam End. Also Southampton City Council CCTV control Room at Chapel End
  20. Form the Saints List According to Gary Chalk, our record unbeated away runs are as follows ON THE SPIN" the answer to that is no. If you include FAC matches then 1949/ 50 was also 10 on the spin (9 Lge + 1 FAC). Season 1902-03 was 11 on the spin (10 Lge+ 1 FAC). If you remove the FAC matches our total stands at 8 lge away games without defeat. The 1949-50 figure is 9 the 1896-7 figure is 10 the 1902-03 figure is 15 5 Apr 1902 to 4 Apr 1903 I also think we went 8 games in league without defeat on our 1977/78 promotion season , following the battle of Ewood Park game when Ossie (in his last ever game for us, and Steve Williams were both sent off thanks to John Bailey) Those 8 games, if I'm right were as follows Oldham D 1-1 Spurs D 0-0 Blackpool W1 -0 Charlton W 3-1 Brighton D 1-1 Mansfield W 2-1 Burnley D 3-3 Bolton D 0-0
  21. Salisbury Saints on train x 4
  22. I not sure if that's what it means, to me it reads all stands open but tiekts only available in restricted areas of Itche, Kingsland and Northam. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1894275,00.html
  23. Just recived email from our ticket office, they say we've actually sold 1600 at moment, which is still pretty good, and tickets will be available on the day so we should get near to 2000 hopefully
  24. According to Walsall fans site 1770 sold as of last weekend so hopefully have 2000 up there http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=537&fid=309&sty=2&act=1&mid=2123723859
