  1. At least 4 London Saints did every game, including one who had all sorts of problems getting to Leeds after getting trapped in The Channel tunnel on Eurostar all night before the game. I personally missed only 1 (Carlisle away, when I had to attend my step sisters wedding) As said above great Atmosphere at most games especially Hartlepool, Orient, MK Dons JPT, Walsall, Southend aand both Bristol Rovers games, but some where poor especially Brighton, Exeter, Wycombe and Swindon but all in all it's been a brilliant season both on and off the pitch travelling to away games.
  2. Shame the JPT DVD doesn't show goals from the previous rounds on it, maybe these are being left until whole season review DVD
  3. A mate of mine is on Dorset FA and he was speaking to the assessor of the ref for Oldham game the other day, he said he'd given the ref the lowest possible mark for his performance (without the ref having to face a discinlinary hearing) The referee complained and argued he'd had a good game. In short there is no conspiracy, just poor refs, and if assessors are up to scratch the poor performances will get noted and the refs concerned will struggle to stay on the approved list.
  4. Correction You obviously know Taitey then, he was one of the lads in Alghero, but then went onto Rimeni where he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got deported
  5. You obviously not Taitey then, he was one of the lads in Alghero, but then went onto Rimeni where he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got deported
  6. This was a great World Cup I went over iniitially for the last two group games in Sardinia. Stayed in Alghero (loads of other Sainys fans stayed there too) at the opposite end of the island to where the games were played and hence avoided the ristrictions on drinking they had at South of the island near matchdays. After we got through to last 16 flew over with two mates to mainland to see the game against Belgium in Bologna (which we won with Platt's last minute overhead kick), spent night in big top then train to Genoa and ferry back to Sardinia. After that back home to watch remainder in pubs over here. Had a great time, but what I remember best is before we left for Sardinia after the Eire game there was little interest in World Cup in England, on our return everyone was talking about and loads of glory hunters were going over to Italy for the later stages of the competition and complaining about the lack of tickets where as for the group games they where easy to get hold of even on the day of the game.
  7. according to SWT official site trains runniong as normal on May 1 engineering works on Sunday and Monday http://www.southwesttrains.co.uk/May%20summary%202010.aspx#63630
  8. Shame you lot didn't realise there was an excellent pub 10mins walk away in village the other side of the railway lin, that's where a dozen of us went when we just missed our train.
  9. LEE just checked SWT website and it says engineering works are on May 2nd and 3rd, May 1st is OK
  10. Also when was the last time we scored over 100 goals in a season? We've scored 104 in all competitions so far
  11. normally on BBC website after 10.30Pm day after the game for evening games
  12. Just been told by box office we are getting another 1000 tickets so 2400 in total
  13. Here's one from London Saints members the Dutch Francis Benali Fan Club Lots of pre and post match footage and some in the ground
  14. My top 3's Best 1. Hartlepool, good performance. great atmosphere 900 up there on a cold November night, really friendly localsand a a lock in at pub near brewery with 20 other London Saints until 2 in the morning 2 Norwich not great support but most complete away preformance of the season, and great pubs before and after the game 3. Southend good performance and great support around 1000 on a friday night at a time in the season when we were still struggling Worst 1. Swindon poor performance and cosidering we had 3000 fans there support was terrible, mind you Saints didn't deserve good support the way they played. 2. Tranmere terrible ref but no excuse for way we palyed and also had to put up with the Skate and his two girls taking the **** all game long. 3. Colchester sh*t perfomance, hard work to get there due to engineering works, fog mean't couldn't see much at the end and took an age to get back to the station afterwards and support was aweful
  15. Not sure whats up with him, but even though he had a poor game today he was instumental in both goals we scored
  16. Correction to my post above should have said Steve Mills Charirt not Saints Trust
  17. I was involved as a committee member of SISA along with many others including Nick and Clive Foley. we were all involved with fanzines at that time. In the early days we co-ordinated the protests against Branfoot and the board. Anyone who thinks they didn't have a major influence in events then quite frankly hasn't got a clue. In the first year or so we actually did things for club and at end of season did Sponsored walk to West Ham and raised £5,000 for Saints trust. After Branfoot had been dismissed SISA had really achieved it's aims and the Committee got taken over by Perry and got political many committee members and most members left in the next couple of years, although before this happened a couple of pre-season meet the manager and players seasons where held (this was before Solent started their events) SISA in reality hasn't existed for yearts although several still use the name for their own purposes.
  18. I started going on Independant coaches back in the late 70's when they were run by Rolly and Bernie Watts, later to be taken over by Clive Foley. These trips were great fun and still see many o those who travelled on those trips at games today, including Sam Vokes Dad Tim, Nick Ilingsworth and many others. Trips to Blackpool 2 coaches where we arrived at 8am on morning of the game, Anderlecht (2 or 3 coaches), Limerick will live long in the memory. Later back in the early eighties I arranged with a mate transit vans or coaches from Salisbury to most away games including coaches to Pompey, Blackburn, Sheff Weds x 2 and Everton x 2 Semi-Final. In 2003 cup run organised 3 mini buses to semi final and 5 to Final. Like you Stuart, I organised pubs to stop on route and on way back form games, on way to Villa Park semi we got near Gloucester a pub to open early for us to have breakfast on way to game. It's hard work to organise such travel and your constantly let down by people but very satisfying when it goes well as it did for you on sunday Stu, and if you make a little for your hard work you certainly deserve it.
  19. Was standing room only from Andover and they didn't let any extra passengers on train at Basingstoke even though there were loads on the station. Glad I had a seat from Salisbury as the airconditioning wasn't working and it was like a Sauna in my carraige. Had littel trouble on 18.42 train going home however
  20. It definately the Skids version (the original) which is much better than the U2 / Green Day version
  21. I got to Metropolitan (wetherspoons at Baker St) about 10 to 10 and waited with at least 150 others for it to open, after half hour place was absolutely packed with Saints fans but everyone was able to get served reasonable well and they must have made an absolute bomb form beer and food sales, great atmoshere in there. Afterwards tried pubs around Marleybone and Baker St but all pubs closed so went down on Jubilee line to London Bridge and had 4 pints in Wheatsheaf before betting train home
  22. This isn't a better fan than you thread just saying who's coming, from where and how they got their tickets All those coming come over to games several times a year whregularly, hence they were among the 2300 Saints fans in Bucharest, the Dutch lads cycled to Hull a couple of years ago via Rotterdam to Hull Ferry but several had to walk back after having their bikes stolen whilst the game was on despite having locks etc., ity din't put them off though and several of them sailed over in a yacht to a home game in our last relegation season.
  23. I know of one my brother from France, on e from Luxemburg and 4 Dutch Lads coming over all on the back of second ticket for season ticket holders. And before anyone has a pop at why they have got tickets, they are all loyal supporters abd were all in Bucherest to watch Saints in 2003
  24. Charlton could are starting tol struggle too they have 9 games left 4 home 5 away , 6 of which are against top ten teams, and include Norwich, Leeds and Colchester Home and Huddersfield, Saints and MK Dons away.
  25. Sorry mate the last spaces on friends coach went this morning
