Hello MG, so you are under therapy? Thought so. Here's one from my granny attributed to Horatio Nelson and previous to that attributed to Issac Newton, "there is none so blind as those who won't see." For those who "will" see and /or remove their rose tinted glasses, big, [bigger and biggest money] is the reason that the Saints lose their best players and that will continue to be the case [common to other teams] until The Saints can truly compete, which as long as they continue to lose their best players . . . . . . . . -
Not unless Jacko was around pre-1934. The Poem was released then and was written by Dale Wimbrow, an American poet.

Is that what your psychoanalyst told you under therapy or did you arrive at that staggering conclusion virtue of your own devices? You see the only thing relevant to this debate that is happening over and over again is the Saints losing their best players and that is all down to the money - end of. So then are we to deduce from what you have offered here you are seeing the same thing over and over again but this time you are expecting a different result? -

Let's not kid ourselves here in that to be fair Liverpool are a far bigger club than Saints and compete, to emphasise matters they reached two finals last season one domestic, one European under a new and talismanic manager. "IF", that's if they want him and they produce the spondulicks then like the others before him Mane will in all probability tread the well worn path to Anfield, it's all about the money. -
So 7 out of the 12 are in a "tiny" 25 mile or so radius, must be something in that Northwest water?
-
? Wayne Bridge played something like 36 times for England . . . . . .

Liverpool's chances of obtaining his services are greatly enhanced if they are the biggest bidders. It's all about the money honey. -
Why don't we simply appoint The Black Box as manager?

Hilarious and brilliant thread. -
The players are keeping their counsel on orders of their agents in case Ron Konman comes back with whopping big fat juicy contracts to poach them for his new love Everton. It's the way of the world.

Yep spot on! If you call being blessed with phenomenal football ability, ending up as England Manager, having a great life concomitant with being famous and a millionaire while paid to stay in the best hotels to watch most of the top football games worldwide being punished; then he's been well and truly punished. No doubt he's screaming for more?
-
Not historical "fact" MA, more historical contention. However, that said one source claims that "when" living in the Pool, da "one day to be" Führer always seemed happier the days when Liverpool won a game. He obviously had some style and taste.
-
Hello DIL, good response, however, you can bet and safely bet at that, that in an argument, debate or any taunting between say Liverpool and Man U fans, who has won what becomes fundamental to the interchanges, absolutely fundamental indeed it consumes and drives the whole issue. History you can rest assured is not dismissed there and why is that do you think?
-
Let's try to be honest here, difficult I know, but it's fair to suggest that such an attempt at consolation [understandable], can only come from a fan, or fans, whose club has in terms of major trophies have won nothing to very little, for if history, particularly in terms of football accomplishment is so easily dispensed with, then it's surely pointless [pun intended] in winning anything in the first instance?
-
A thought . . . . . . .because being the duplicitous chappie he is, in common with so many football mercenaries, particualrly agents, that side of the matter has basically been arranged and completed on the QT while he was ostensibly still the Saints manager? [season-ticket sales and all that type of stuff, also coming into the equation.]

Oh well . . . . anyone can call "errors" as you have, ergo, mere use of semantic subterfuge, so don't be shy, do point out the errors please. . . . . And because aspects of Grammar can be contentious at an erudite level and being aware of the same as I am; please do note the use of the word "SOMEWHAT" in my initial reply whence eradicating the "Childish" errors - get the point? I hope so.

The children are at play and when they are just make yourself a nice cup of coffee, reach for a decent book sit back and relax leaving them to it. Oh sure they'll start squabbling and so on, but for those "chilled out" it can and often does, induce a sense of mischievous fun.

True story, two Scousers walking along Southsea Seafront in front of my wife, my daughter and myself; Scouser one turning to Scouser two, "there's France over there", as he points to the I.O.W., cue for my 9-year-old daughter to commence s******ing, compelling me to inform her to be quiet. There I've corrected it for you somewhat; just in case your 9-year-old reads it and considers you a tad illiterate or perhaps grammatically incompetent in regard to the written usage of your own language.

Premiership stadiums getting bigger, hope we don't get left behind

Great quote! ! -
No doubt those cynical among could see the MP 'connection' unfolding this way. Man U have him on their short-list [undoubtedly so] and wish to sound Mauricio out, so he meets with SAF secretly [supposedly], MP's agent sells the Scum newspaper an amazing exclusive, "nice little earner know wot a' meen guv"? The Scum duly arrive on cue, cameraman on hand as they would. Levy gets wind of the MP, SAF meeting as he was meant to, "know wot a' meen guv"? MP's agent awaiting such an outcome as he and MP smoke Gurkha Black Dragons and sip vintage Champagne in the Savoy, receives an immediate summons to an emergence meeting with Levy and members of the Spurs board, where MP's agent matter of factly informs Levy, as he offers him a Gurkha Black Dragon, Man U will pay his client a "basic" £6 mill per annum with massive bonuses to be added. Levy and the Spurs board with the Scum info in the public domain and the Spurs fans venting bile, combined with the looming financial implications of the New stadium and ECL football for the coming season, now could face losing MP unless they act and act right now they there and then agree to seriously up the ante in relation to MP's new contract and MP duly signs. He having had a free lunch and earned an extra £2 mill plus per year and a few extra bonuses under the "ole' counter wink, wink, know wot a'meen guv" virtue of a free lunch and a single phone call. In the same position wouldn't you play the game? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . It's all about the money honey.

McManaman is an Everton supporter [his family are all die hard Everton supporters] who happened to play for Liverpool and is now making pocket money as a Liverpool "expert" - nice work when you can get it. The rest of your post is a mixture of toxicity and stupidity concerning matters that transcend football and affects all club supporters - indeed the country and its establishment as a whole. Obviously it would have suited your mentality that the City of Liverpool and its inhabitants should have been forever tainted by a Police cover up and their consummate lies; to then acquiesce in the face of the authorities denial and 27 years of constant attempts to bury the truth under a mountain of double speak and deceit. Tell us which spirit made Britain great what your response implies or what the people of Liverpool actually did?
-
Yes I know . . . . . . literary licence to make the monetary point.
-
Lovren in the last EL round scores winner against Dortmund. Last night Lallana scores winner against Villareal - all else aside and purely considering matters in monetary terms, they have probably paid back a huge chunk of that £45 mill they cost. Modern football folks. Clyne to score the winner in the Final?
-
Do forgive me this personal observation but in your apparent intransigence you're seemingly not getting this at all, - this is not about Opinions any more, we've had 27 years of opinions, lies, corruption and deceit, added to people who know little to nothing about the disaster pontificating and pointing accusatory fingers at Liverpool supporters; heartily driven by the media in some instances. Such opining has now been transcended - thank God. This is now about HARD evidence such as the following [there is much more of course], The Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police, David Crompton, having unreservedly apologised to victims’ families . . . . . . . "On 15 April 1989, South Yorkshire police got the policing of the FA Cup semi-final at Hillsborough catastrophically wrong. It was and still is the biggest disaster in British sporting history. That day 96 people died and the lives of many others were changed forever. The force failed the victims and failed their families. Today, as I have said before, I want to apologise unreservedly to the families and all those affected." Note they, the Police, got it "catastrophically wrong" with NO blame being apportioned by him or anyone else now to the supporters, if he could have continued to blame the supporters you can bet your sweet life he sure woulda done - but now the truth is out. You can, in the meantime as indeed you are, having not attended the court or read the court transcripts still stick to your opinion, but opinions become worthless in the face of overwhelming evidence except to those who still blindly and stupidly want to hold on to them of course.
-
Hey your a little winner aintcha. So you suspect "they" don't want "justice" and "closure", so by implication of what you write the families of the much maligned bereaved, as indeed you are maligning them even now put their respective lives on hold for 27 years and fought tooth and nail for what, mere fun, the sheer hell of it? The medication which you obviously must take Badger, is definitely warranted.
