Simon Jordan on Talksport claimed Saudi Arabian billionaire Turki Alalshikh wants to buy a football club and is interested in Saints!!
-
For the record re: standard of French football. PSG by far the best and riches club in France have never won the Champions League, indeed only twice has a French club ever won any European Cup. It's a one club league with a couple of ok ish other clubs and then fodder. Think Scottish Prem. SO we're about to appoint Still on an 8th place with Lens and his interviews on various performance podcasts. Jeeez!!!!
-
He's got a good PR that's for sure. Facts are he has never played professional football. By his own admission he learnt football management on a computer game. His best achievement in football is 8th in a league the level of the Championship at best, but I agree he talks a good game. And BTW, is was born and brought up in Belgium to English parents, so your description of him as a young English manager doing well overseas is stretching it a bit.
-
All those saying how impressed they are with Still, can they expand on it a bit. It's a genuine question because I can't see anything at all exceptional. Taking Lens to 8th in he French league seems his highlight. Whoopee.

I'm not editing, it's worth keeping . 😁

The only reason Will Still is known by anyone is he was/is an unusually young manager, who never played football but learnt the skills of football managing on a computer game. That's an interesting story that makes good copy for the media. Had he been 10 years old and had a career of 500 games in a pro league before going into coaching nobody would be aware of his unremarkable managerial stats. I'm surprised our technical director is prepared to take this huge gamble.

1) It really isn't. I uses to regularly go and watch Bordeaux before they got dumped down 3 leagues, and the standard is no higher than Championship at best. 2) The more experience you have of any situation the less likely you are to fuck up.
-
Will Still ffs? NOOOOO We've had enough experimenting with the Welsh binman etc. Still has never played the game, has no experience of English football let alone the championship, learnt his trade by playing computer games, and just taken his team to 8th in a pretty poor league (PSG aside) Why is is even been considered is a fucking mystery.

We're going to smash 'em. All that pent up emotion and frustration is suddenly going to burst into a display of unimaginable football brillance. Tall Paul hatrick, Smallbone with a mazy run all the way from our penalty area, a screamer from 40 yards from Bednarek and a bicycle kick from Stewart Stephens will throw his body across the goalline to keep out a last minute conciliation goal for City and maintain a clean sheet. 6-0

A weeping virgin Mary would be apt.
-
We need to bust a gut to get as many of these miserable, useless wage thieves off our books. Losing becomes a habit and these fairies are addicted. Bednarek, Stephens, Manning, Smallbone etc etc etc. Should never be seen in a Saints shirt again.
-
When a team is as shit as this the only answer is to get rid of the lot of them and start again next season. There is not one of them I ever want to see wearing a Saints shirt again.
-
Difficult one to call if you're not ITK as I'm not. On the one hand selling now would represent a big financial loss for DS so why would he ? Possible answer is he's crunched the numbers and sees how much more he'll need to pump in to stand any chance of getting his money back, and has decided to cut his losses. Time will tell

Leicester 2-1 We'll be winning on 89 mins then a Vardy brace on 90 and 95 following unexplainable substitutions.
-
It's beyond any description just how shite this team is. Sell every fucking one of them, or give them away. Next season no Bednarek, no Stephens, no Bree, no Manning, no Downes, no Sulemana etc etc etc.
-
They can't learn and they can't change. Wankers

I really don't want the stigma of being the worst Premiership team of all time. Our last realistic chance of avoiding this is beating Fulham at home. I pride myself on being a miserable, moaning argumentative git, think Victor Mildew on a class A come down. And to that end I'm the least happy clappy Saints supporter I know. However an atmosphere and backing from the fans at the Fulham game like it was in the playoffs v West Brom, including outside the ground, would give us the best chance of achieving this. I shall be recommending this approach to my firm of grumbles and troublemakers.
-
Please God let this season end.

Since when did Albert Steptoe buy into Man U ?
-
I'll be surprised if it's much different from the Bournemouth game. Some players who should never be starting will be removed once we're 2 down to be replaced by a better line-up and formation (such as it is) who might put up a bit of, ultimately futile, resistance. 1-3
-
Me too.
-
Apparently hope' springs eternal, but I'm afraid my well has run dry. I expect us to take the lead and then throw it away in a second half display of weakness of mind and body. 3-1
-
We're going to mash 'em. 1-0 Saints
