I dont buy this 'he embarrassed the club' thing. Nobody outside of Southampton and Middlesbrough gives a shit about this. Once next season is underway it will be old news. Tonda is our best chance of promotion next season, why change?

He's been successful (apart from the amateurish espionage) IF he still commandes the backing of the players I think he should stay. Sacking him would be shooting ourselves in the foot. Nobody beyond Saints fans will remember this spying in 6 months time.

Parsons needs to go. Tonda was stupid, but Parsons is CEO and he should have dealt with the situation a lot, lot better from the off. Letting Middlesborough get a head of steam up in the press unoppossed, and influence the EFL unopposed and trying to appeass Gibson. For the only time ever I wish we had little Nicolas Cortesse back as CEO, he would not have been played like Parsons and we would still be going to Wembley. On another note we must talk about compensation for the fans: Season ticket renewals half price. 25/26 memberships, all 26/27 tickets half price. The club should factor it in as another 'penalty'.

Could work the other way. Most neutrals think our punishment was harsh, and in mitigation Tonda did put his hands up, so the FA make decide we've suffered enough. 12 month suspended penalty. (But who knows, I'm passed trying to second guess these kangaroo courts)

If Tonda still has the backing and respect of the dressing room we would be stupid to sack him. But that's a big 'if'. He has let them down big time.

The recent statement from Middlesboro i think is more about positioning for their inevitable legal action against Saints, than any belief the EFL will do what they want.

Good question, but i think not. They are not the ones on trial. It would be like a victim of burglary appealing if a burger gets off. That doesn't happen.

Surely the thing to do if you're EFL is let the game go ahead. Hull win problem solved, points deduction and fine for us. If we win, and they want us expelled, than Hull go through as beaten finalists.
