Obviously it's going to take time, but I think by the end of the season we're going to be unrecognisable from the team RM left in December, fitter, smarter and better organised; which I think will be enough to avoid any unwanted records this season and get us off to a good start in the Championship. I have faith in IJ.
-
Showed a bit of heart second half, that makes that far off dream of reaching twelve points seem possible.
-
We need a complete clear out. Next season I don't want a single one of the senior squad to remain. Not even any of the so called better players, incase they carry the infection. And their replacements need to be picked by people not involved with deciding the likes of Bednerick and Stephens, and Smallbone, and Armstrong etc etc, are Premiership quality.
-
A lot, lot, lot better. But why Smallbone ffs? Hope Dibbling is not seriously injured. Fuck Man U and their pissy plastic fans, and their shitty owners. All that money and still bottom half. Wankers.
-
Tough one to call this. Anything could happen, we could lose 4-0 or it might be 6 or 7-0.
-
So to paraphrase, Saints are subsidising the French outfit. And probably the turks too.

All our problems point in one direction, Sport Republic. Poor- abysmal managerial appointments = SR Woeful player purchases =SR Lack of Scouting system = SR Lack of specialist coaches = SR Lack of a DoF (which could have alleviated much of the problems above) = SR Apparently these brain dead morons are having a meeting tomorrow to discuss January transfer targets; Seven days into the transfer window !!! These guys are not fit to run a professional football club.
-
I believe we have no set piece coach. Just another example of SR ineptitude.
-
What's the point? We're nailed in for relegation anyway thanks to the clueless SR
-
The whole structure of the club is bad. The lack of a DoF, the non existant scouting network, the missing set piece coaches etc etc. Sport Republic are farcical and making this club a laughing stock. Dragan Solak needs to grew a pair and ditch Rasmus Ankerson and his side kick.
-
Championship level squad No director of football No set piece coach No scouting system And SR making the calls. It's remarkable we're doing as well as we are.
-
Now we're at least creating chances, but this is only going to highlight, if there was any doubt, how shit our strikers are at converting chances. But let's concentrate on the positives.
-
Don't think we'll get dicked, which I did every week when in the latter stages of Russball, but can't really see a win emerging yet. I'd be very happy with a point towards our goal of beating Derbys 12.
-
Only two months too late, just need SR to fuck off now

If anyone at SMS is reading this. LEAVE. Save yourselves.

Had a manager ever been sacked mid game?

Possesion: 70% Shots on target : 0 Score: 0-3

Don't let the football spoil your day out at the football.

There are two issues/problems at the club, one is the squad, one is the manager. The squad is not good enough. There are maximum five players who would interest other premiership clubs the rest is championship quality at best. That said, worse squads than ours have stayed up in the past and will do again under the right manager who cuts his cloth accordingly. Which brings us to the second issue, the manager. Russel Martin has failed to appreciate the limitations of his squad, and how to get the best out of them. It's a simple as that. Both of these problems are unarguably the fault of Sport Republic. Tonight's result 3-0 home win. Season result 20th relegated on 8 points.
-
We are down, no doubt about that. Our last chance of changing that outcome disappeared when SR failed to sack RM at the last international break, even then i doubt SR's ability to appoint a decent replacement. BUT it would be good to avoid the record for lowest ever points tally, which I believe stands at 12.
-
There are many things I don't understand. One of those things is why SR extended RM's contract in the summer. Promoted via the backdoor so to speak, unproven in the top flight and little chance of a better offer from another club! Why tie the club to someone we might want to off load if we're struggling?
-
He is a gift to every manager who's team we play. No need for them to be cautious and work out what we'll do, they know. Well play out from the back. All they need to do is keep a high line and put pressure on, and wait for the inevitable individual errors. I think it was Bristol City last season who first worked us out, now it's just too easy for whoever we play.
-
No premiership side has conceded as many goals from individual errors as us. Those errors are caused by the opposition pressuring our back line as we try to play out from the back again. Until RM can at least mix it up a bit and make the opposition stop and think we might just play it long, we'll keep shipping goals from errors. And there is no sign that RM can or will change. Plenty more brave but ultimately fruitless games coming up until we're relegated probably by March.

I can't go Sunday, so instead will be hiding behind the sofa.

Should Dragan Šolak remove Rasmus Ankersen from the SFC board?
Morse replied to Dark Munster's topic in The Saints
If I were Dragan, Rasmus would be out the door, his feet not touching the ground. But on second thoughts, If I were Dragan, I wouldn't have been taken in by Rasmus and his bollox in the first place. Friends, fellow Saints, we are lions led by donkeys.
