Hopefully Trump will find being a Kingmaker difficult as, if there is any justice, he will be behind bars. As for Conservatism, surely both side are conservative? It’s just a question of how far right you want to go.

You have proved my point about narcissism. The only person obsessed with you is you. Duckie - fair point. I said EU because I didn’t think that many people would remember the Common Market but hold my hands up.

I didn’t say I was leaving. I said I wasn’t posting so much because of posters like you. Get your facts straight. As for democracy, when does a vote become “absolute”? I don’t know if you are old enough to remember but the country voted to join the EU. What happened to democratic veracity of that decision? You seem to ignore that because it doesn’t suit your purpose. If you we were to have had another referendum last year and the majority was in favour of staying, you would not have accepted that would you? No more than Farage would have accepted a defeat in the first referendum (according to his own words). The good thing about our democracy is that if we want to kick out a government every few years we can. We can’t keep leaving and rejoining the EU so why should one referendum mean more than another, or is it just a case of let’s keep voting until I get the decision I want? You make that argument against the Remainers but the point is we had a referendum and we voted to join. You had every right to moan about that decision just as those who voted to stay have every right to complain now. There is a massive difference here. Trump is the president and has been voted out whether he likes it or not. I don’t recall Cameron throwing his dummy out of the pram when he lost. In fact he did the decent thing and resigned. Trump needs to accept the defeat with good grace and let his stormtroopers do the dummy throwing for him. Still, I suspect that, as a narcissist yourself, you have plenty of sympathy for Donald.

For someone who frequently criticises people who talk politics on a football forum ITK, you seem to have taken to it like a Duckhunter to water!
-
I thought he should have played in Che to his left instead of shooting, still, a minor gripe given the overall performance!
-
Don’t worry Duckie, you still have a few years of the Chubster and his right wing Chronies (what a great name for a band) to keep you smiling! Who knows, once they get wise to Johnson and kick him out, you might even get Patel! What a treat!

It is unusual for a President not to win a second term. This will not sit well with the poor love’s narcissistic sensibilities, bless him.

Given how much large swathes of this country are interest in the Royal Family, I think you will find that a lot of people care. There have been rumours of William’s extra curricula activities for ages. The interest in his parents affairs were also huge. If there is one thing we Brits love more than a Royal story it’s a Royal shagging story!
-
Mrs William maybe?
-
His defensive work shouldn’t be underestimated either. He gives us so much more all over the pitch.
-
It’s strange isn’t it? Swap the halves around and we would be euphoric! The injuries are a real worry though as we don’t have much strength in depth.

I was a year younger and the 1965/66 season was the first season that I really became interested in football and started following the Saints. Not a bad way to start with a promotion and a World Cup win! There were so many legendary players around in that era. I know it’s a bit of a cliche and that things were always better “back in the day” but we don’t seem to have many characters like Nobby in the game now. Not many of the 66 team left now. If we won the WC now all the players would receive a knighthood. It’s a great shame that so few of this iconic team received the award. Nobby even had to sell his medals to provide some stability for his family. Thankfully his club bought them and they reside in the Manchester United Museum, but that should not have to happen. RIP

A true legend. Anyone who saw his famous jig on the Wembley turf, false teeth in one hand, Jules Rimet trophy in the other, will never forget that moment. Marked Eusebio out of the Portugal game too which was no mean feat. RIP

Him and me both it would seem Wes!!

Apparently Donald Trump has a wife too.

A) My comments were directed to Duckie so I don’t know why you feel that you can butt in. B) You just can’t bear it when someone makes a negative remark about right wing ideology can you? C) You have been stalking me on here for years. It really isn’t healthy and you need to find better things to do with your time. It is not becoming behaviour for a grown man.

I thought that there was no real intent at first, but I have just watched it from various angles multiple times and now I think that it was intentional. He clearly raises his arms in the innocent gesture BEFORE he rakes his studs down the back of KWP’s leg. Pros like to pretend that they would never deliberately go out to injure another player but Roy Keane busted that myth several years ago.
-
Although I think your politics suck Duckie, I usually agree with your footballing comments. Your Tory mindset is showing here though. If a Saints player had done that I wouldn’t be complaining about the red. PerhPs if he hadn’t have kicked him from behind already and wasn’t nibbling away for several yards he might have got away with a yellow but he wasn’t going to let KWP get away from him and dangerous play is dangerous play.

Not at all. But if you recall we were talking about how work rate has become just as important as skill (hence Ozil being dumped from the Arsenal squad) and whether MLT would have got so much match time nowadays). I think Tadic is a quality player but as you say, his off the ball work was not so good. Grealish clearly combines the two well, but the days where you can field a flare player just for his skill alone seem to be long gone, certainly in the Premier league anyway, with its emphasis on the high press. Can you imagine MLT chasing and harrying?
-
Exactly Duckie, which is probably why he is currently plying his trade in the Eredivisie and not the Premier League.
-
Ask this of all the Governments around the world Duckie. Seriously, why would they f*ck their own economies if this virus was not serious and has the potential to do even more damage that it has done so far?
-
I thought the same thing when I heard that Ozil had been left out of the Arsenal Prem squad. It isn’t enough to be a gifted footballer nowadays, you need to be able to run for 95 minutes and tackle too. If Matt did find a place in a Premiership club I have a feeling he would have spent a lot more time on the bench.

I think that you missed my original point Duckie. It was suggested that we look after the vulnerable and let everyone else go about their daily lives. The Health Secretary said yesterday that we are ALL vulnerable therefore no one gets to go about their normal daily lives in that case. As for banning smoking. Yes I would, in a heartbeat. But that clearly isn’t going to happen as it would cause more grief than Brexit! Smoking is the worst self inflicted deadly habit that humans have inflicted on themselves (apart from Rap music 😉) and if Walter Raleigh pitched up now and suggested we breathed the smoke of some dried leaves into our lungs for pleasure there is no way that would be allowed. However, I really don’t think that you can conflate smoking with an airborne virus spread by other humans.
-
Smoking too much weed again Duckie? Perhaps you should turn your biting wit onto Hancock? Oh wait, he is one of your own.
-
On the news just now, Hancock says that we should all try and avoid becoming infected with the virus because of the potential problems of Long Covid, so I guess we are all vulnerable.
