Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
sadoldgit replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
Where exactly do I say that the incidents in Cologne were compatible to Maidstone on a Friday/Saturday night? What I say is that the behaviour of that night isn't the preserve of Muslim men. I also say that Maidstone town centre on the weekends is like a scene from an old Wild West town. I didn't say that it was like Cologne. It is something you have imagined. And thanks for showing that I didn't condone what happened that night. But you said that there were "masses" of rapes and sexual assaults, so once again, please tell us how many men were charged and convicted of rape or sexual assault that night? After all, there were "masses" so it cant be too hard. Since the weekend at least 4 people have been stabbed to death in London, the latest was found on a bus. I assume that none of these attacks have been carried out by Muslim terrorists as I am sure Batman would have pointed them out to us. Every day women are raped and beaten in this country by what you would term as one of us (ie not Muslims or migrants). Every day there are cases of GBH, ABH, aggravated burglary, theft etc etc by people who are not Muslim or migrants. But yet you only seem to be outraged when Muslims or migrants are involved in wrong doing. I will say again following your kind recap of my quote, this behaviour is not the preserve of Muslim men (and I should have added or migrants). Most rational people understand that, but you and a few other people here seem to think that because someone happens to be a Muslim or a migrant, they are more likely to commit crimes and that their behaviour is somehow worse and more comment worthy than crimes committed by others. Oh, and its not just Maidstone town centre that is rowdy at weekends - towns all over the UK get lively, have you never been in a town centre at chucking out time from the pubs? -

Once more you make things up to suit your own bigoted agenda. I didn't say that Cologne was like a Saturday night in Maidstone. I pointed out that these things go on all the time here but you only seem bothered if crimes are carried out by Muslims or migrants. Also please tell me out of the "mass sex attacks and rape across Cologne" how many people were charged and convicted with sexual assault and rape. It should be hard for you because there were so many. -
It is a bit of a leap assuming that the club don't think he is competent isn't it? If he has been brought in as cover and we don't need that cover as neither of the other two centre halves haven't been injured, it hardly means the club think is incompetent.

It isn't terrorism that you are obsessed with, it is Islam and Muslims in general. As for not having time to post on here, I never said that. I said that I didn't have time to go back through this thread and find the bit where we discussed the positive things that Islam has been responsible for. You are the one with the problem with Islam so I suggest you go find it. I know it is here because I posted on it. I expect you did too. -

Weird thing to say? It was a light hearted remark hypo. You should try and develop a sense of humour, it goes a long way to make these dark days a little easier! So you say "thankfully your wife isn't a practising Muslim." Would you love her any less if she was? You do know that most practicing Muslims are no more a problem to society than any other person? And you keep talking about the numbers of Muslims who hold views incompatible by those in the west. Do you have any figures to back your view up? It would seem to me that if the majority of Muslims held extreme views and acted on them we would be in big trouble. If you are a woman or a gay man you are more likely to be persecuted by "one of us" than a Muslim. You do know that don't you? I am sure we are all agreed that extremism, in any shape or form, is reprehensible. People going about their everyday lives peacefully and not bothering anyone else are not. The fact that you don't like their religion doesn't make the slightest bit of difference. -

Not really answering the question is it SM? Why is it that you focus 100% on Muslims and completely ignore the fact that, every day, non Muslims carry out appalling crimes. The simple fact is that there are many people who are f*cked up on this planet, not just some of those who follow Islam, but you chose to make an issue out of those alone. I'll give you this though, you are very persistent. -

If I were you Sweetcorn I would sleep with the bedroom door locked, what with being married into a family of Muslims and all. -

And yet on a daily basis the indigenous members of this country murder, rape and steal from each other without a word from you. I guess it is ok if it is done by your own kind and not by those pesky Muslims? -

I've got better things to do. Given the time you spend on here though I am sure you can take a few minutes out from slagging off 1.6 billion people to find them. -

This has already been covered on this thread. Perhaps you were on holiday then? Of course it is completely against your agenda so perhaps you just ignored it? And as for your comment about CEC, pretty low, even for you. -
What is bizarre is your need to slaughter Puel at every opportunity. I guess he was responsible for Brexit and the election of Donald Trump too?

Hello Batman, feel free to find a quote from me where I say there isn't a problem with extremists. The difference is that you and your other buddies want to blame the whole of Islam for these actions rather than the extremists themselves. -
James Ward-Prowse for England? ...say that again ...

Some might think? So that would include the England manager and plenty of TV pundits. -

There is a massive difference between those who play and work in the game and those who think that because they watch the game they somehow know better than the professionals. You only have to go back to look at the grief that Morgan got when he started with us or to see the way that Mane was written off after a few games. JWP has always had potential and is clearly valued by the club and by England. Good to see Redmond shut his critics up too. -
Little ray of sunshine once again. I think supporting a mid table team is a little too stressful for you, my little green friend. Perhaps you should try supporting Chelsea instead?

And the same people who demand loyalty from the players and wet the bed when they don't get it.

And yet you are more likely to be killed by a boy racer from your own town in his car than a terrorist. Mental. -

In any discussion there has to be a measure of balance. We have talked about the "Christians" or "The West" as not being perfect either and quite rightly. Muslims don't have the monopoly on poor behaviour. What puzzles me is that for someone who has married into a Muslim family, you seem completely insensitive to Islamophobia. Do you not read Sour Mash's posts? On pretty much a daily basis he attacks Islam (not just the extremists) but you let him be and go after those who support peaceful Muslims. Why is that? I don't see apologists here. I see people sick to death of the extremist attacks but also mindful that we are not blameless and the policies of "The West" have done nothing to help relations between us. You now seem to be obsessed with normal Muslims being responsible for these nutters and not doing enough to distance themselves from the attacks. After a recent attack thousands of Muslims took to the streets of London to protest against IS and extremism. This seems to have passed you and the mainstream media by. Right after the attack the other day Muslims started an online request for money for the fallen PCs family and had raised £3k within the first hour. There are constant pictures of Muslims holding placards saying not in my name. How do you know that communities are not working with the police and security services on a regular basis? And why should a normal, peaceful Muslim be held responsible for the actions of a delusional psychopath? On the same day of the attack, Michael Lane was sentenced to 25 years in prison for cutting the throat of his former girlfriend. Are you are I responsible for his actions? Of course not. Muslims are just as likely to die in these random attacks and are probably are just as concerned as we are about the possibility of getting caught up in something like this. Many of the people who carry out these attacks have criminal records. The current guy has a previous history of violence, knifing several people. Why is this guy the responsibility of other Muslims? One of the most affecting quotes of the last couple of days comes from Jo Cox's husband, Brendan Cox - "The person who did this is no more representative of British Muslims than the person who killed Jo is a representative of the people that are from Yorkshire." If a man who lost his loved one can see that Muslims are not responsible for the actions of a minority of extremists, why cant you? -
