Liverpool offer 30m and we refuse it. They return with 32m and then it becomes a done deal. Liverpool's no 1 target was Mane and they would of paid 40m for him. We were soft in the end and we will continue to sell to Liverpool once they show interest in any of our players. VVD and Bertrand will end up there for season 2017,18 if Liverpool want them.

The key questions is what lengthily contract do we offer this new manager? Why should we gamble now and lose him in 2 years time if we offer a 3 year one now.

So far Les Reed has got it right on the managerial appointments. We have to trust him on another good one I guess.
