The problem with our box to box players are they panic when having a pop at goal. We will struggle to get 8 goals between JWP, Romeu and Davis.

Never heard of the team or player?
-
Funny how people said he has signed a 3 year extension. Clearly not and something is going on with Fonte at the moment.

The New Formation Thread : The Puel 4-4-2 Diamond

After reading the comments about today's match, what player would suit our no 10 system if you could bring someone in? -
To put this to bed. Only members of staff are allowed to walk pass security to the pitch area and this Burma, Kriss Akubusi or a player interested would not be allowed to do so. It would be known by now if he had signed before walking in with Fonte.

Very highly rated on the black box.

This Pied link was in the papers a few weeks back so the press do get a sniff of the news. Does anyone know which paper original reported it and what other deals have we been linked with which went quiet afterwards?
-
I expect Fonte is back a day later than Cedric because he took an extra day out of his holiday for the promotion of the shirt.

Fonte has had his head turned just like the rest of them. Dont blame him cashing in on his success from the euro's and getting himself a bumper pay at the same time. I honestly don't think Reed is going to stop him joining a fellow Portuguese at UTD after serving us so well for 6 years.
-
I can understand Fonte wanting a move as he is hardly rich on the wages we've paid him in the last 6 years. A transfer fee of 20m will give him a nice lump sum.
-
More exciting this way. Nothing better than supporting one of your own playing for England.

Saints contact team X and put in bid for player A and its excepted. Team X needs replacement for player A. They agree a deal with team Y who also need to replace a player. And so on, just like house buying in a chain. Look at Arsenal? Being linked with many players but they are over priced. Once they finally get someone they will sell us OXY (example)

I love the fact we are buying young players to groom them into good first teamers. Watching a kid giving 100% is more satisfying than watching the likes of Mane, Tadic and Wanyama on an off day.
-
According to the paper this morning we have agreed a fee for a Belgian attacking midfielder and his agent is already in the country sorting out the deal. The player is flying in today. Could quite possibly be Dennis Praet?
-
The transfer market has gone stupid with some pathetic overpriced players. I expect the situation with us is either: (1) We've agreed loan or permanent deals but they need to replace them first. (2) We are now looking at our option number 5,6,7 as we won't pay over the odds. (3) We agreed a deal with one player but his agent is a greedy bastard. (4) A player was due to sign but got abducted by aliens

You have to remember that we are going to be playing a game every three days according to Puel so you need a good squad. IMHO thinking that Reed, Sims, Taggart, McQueen and co are going to fill out the squad could spell trouble.

Or 50% true.

What a pile of **** from Crook. Do you honestly think our manager would come in without wanting a couple of players of his own choice just like Koeman did?
-
On what date will we make another signing?!
Pilchards replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
Going 26th of July that Wolsberg striker called Das Boot. -
Why need him as he cant get in the England team plus we replaced with a Euro 2016 winner. It's funny how things change quickly and yet he was actually very good for us.

How do we create an environment where players want to stay?

If we can't keep a manager then what chance have we in keeping players? -
Because Koeman could not see it himself as he had his own head up his arse. I will continue to believe Pottychino would of brought these kids through into the first team as he was brilliant at doing so. Puel it seems has been hired for that very role which I love personally. Regarding the Daily Fail article, Redmond is not Mane's replacement.
