Just come back from holiday and was updated well from a forum user. My take on this is Cortese wants a big signing to get us to the next level and he will sign one before the deadline. I believe we will fork out 15m tops but they must be in our wage bracket of 40k or less. Perhaps we tried for Walcott but his wages would of been way too high, add Johnson from City & Pienarr to the list of wanting too much wages. A few names are cropping up like Tella/Biagla (whatever the name) we are looking very hard to bring in a real crowd pleaser and if we miss out on Ramirez then someone else will come. IMHO Lens is the one we will end up with after Ramirez.

Do you think people will be surprised by our passing and move football or did Swansea really show everyone that the smaller teams can play football too? I have this image that we will play short fast passes, triangles, give and go etc and that everyone will enjoy watching Saints in the Premiership. If you look head another season then you would feel that Buttner would make the left back role his plus Clyne for the right flank, this leaves Fox, Harding, Richardson & Butterfield moving on from the club. The season 2013-2014 we will have Shaw/Chambers/Prowse & the Plymouth lad knocking on the door for a first team place. No way are they ready this season but we can afford to add them on the bench for a 5 minute run out if we are winning easily or getting smashed.
