We are in a win win situation with Adkins. If we start off badly in the first 15 games then Cortese will sack him and replace with a premiership proven manager that will take our 5 year plan forward. If Adkins does well then he will stay as he knows we are onto something big here, IMHO I trust Cortese to do what he has to do for us to reach the very top. Cortese is not someone that wants to be part of the premiership, he wants to be the premiership.

Shocking to think The Big Mac was manager for longer than all those put together?I believe Hoddle was the best as he did it in the Premiership with a small budget, although the football was not so entertaining as other managers but he knew how to get a result.My best loved manager was Strachan, he was funny & got the team playing great football, Adkins is proving to match him but he needs to do it first in the big league.

I'm glad we have done our journey and the Vman is right with his comments too. We became what Bolton have become in the Premiership and that's the same old **** every week, at least now we can become something special with most of the Premiership being jealous of us now.

Marbella is a great place but bloody expensive. Porto Banus is just amazing and the prices reflect that.

I agree with Blakey that we need a keeper, someone to push Davis rather than stick him on the bench all season. Kasper is just that sort of player who will improve once Davis takes him under his wing.

I can understand the Jay Rod interest and I would be surprised if he choose Celtic unless it releases Hooper for us? IMHO we will sign nobody until July the 1st as it means we end up paying them wages just to sit on the beach. However Adkins will agree several deals with football clubs and verbal agreements with some players until July.

My thoughts too, problem with plugging the gap is getting rid of the high paid players that can't take the club forward anymore in 2 years time.

Would be a better event If they had the players on the pitch doing 'The cross bar challenge' chip in the bucket (Golf) soccer skills knockout where the fans vote the best and maybe a charity match between the squad to entertain us with some show boating. I would be pretty sure you would get thousands of fans coming for that on top of the trophy being presented and a video showing the season highlights. Just my thoughts.
