  1. I love reading and following the quotes as I teach martial arts, I also know that Nigel Adkins follows the art of war method, so what do you think he will be drilling into them for Saturday? This one looks good for Coventry? "He wins his battles by making no mistakes. Making no mistakes is what establishes the certainty of victory, for it means conquering an enemy that is already defeated."
  2. Ha ha you've got a point!!
  3. My fiancee scares me as she sometimes get's voices... I swear to you that every time she get's them it happens. Basically we will make the playoffs and win them. I don't think I could handle another 3 matches but If it's in the script so be it.
  4. If we end up third then we play 6th place away first? Who would you prefer Blackpool, Cardiff, Brum or Boro again? Don't worry this is a thread to pass the time as it's ticking too slowly for me.
  5. I believe some fans go to away games to get away from work & love ones, also a chance to enjoy a beer or two with the mates and some football.
  6. Just a mini update, they are in full swing with the development, the pitches have all been dug up and they have moved further down onto the cow fields where they have setup a couple of new pitches, maybe Adkins wanted to practice on those pitches incase of relegation back to league one ;-) The buildings are slowly being outlined and the place looks very, very busy with vehicles, builders and academy players. I expect the first team is at St Mary's some of the week and away from it all on the bottom pitch. Not the best prep but it's been like that for 3 weeks now.
  7. My son & daughter will be greeting the players when they arrive at the stadium from 10 onwards, let's hope it won't be like looking at a plate of jelly as they walk towards us for autographs?
  8. That special Carlsberg night when we beat Hull and went West Ham stuttered, since then they have been playing catch up.
  9. Because it has us all looking forward to a massive game on Saturday which will have 32,000 screaming fans supporting Saints to a victory. If West Ham lost last night then it will feel like it was gifted to us, instead they can become heroes again. Just man up everyone and except this is the way a script is written and how our team should go up. I can't wait although I will have so many sleepless nights till then.
  10. West Ham have not won two back to backs this year I heard, while we always bounce back after a defeat.
  11. This game is on a par with the semi final of the paint trophy. That night the stadium was rocking, we will be lucky to get close to it on Saturday.
  12. I totally agree that they are the best option to have at home on the final day but nerves & emotions can often effect a teams performance on the pitch. If we don't score first half then I bet you we get edgy and Coventry will sense a chance to upset the odds.
  13. But the added pressure on us will even it out.
  14. Watch the ref in this game, will be some strange decisions to keep the season alive for Sky at the weekend.
  15. I have no problem if West Ham win tonight as I can then look forward to one of those games that will stick in our memories for ever. I would not swap Delhurst, Everton home (pahars double) Walsall last season & the Wimbledon 0-0 (while man city played out a draw with Bally) That's what football is all about with the high emotions and tears.
  16. Maybe we can invite our friends and have a joint one, im sure they will be up for the relegation party!
  17. Coventry to be below par because we have given them two juicy loanees Prowse-Ward & Stephens for next season. Ha ha why not as the Boro ref was corrupted too. Part of me wants a West Ham win on Monday so it will make the game Saturday amazing.
  18. I got the impression that a great business man will always look at ways to raise his companies profits in the long term? Larger stadium, more people, more merchandise sold, better players attracted etc. Yeah why not? I remember last season he said we will go up as champions, I laughed as I thought he was mad.
  19. Some great replies on this thread plus reasonable players listed. I like to think that Cortese could have a trump card in getting an Italian superstar to the club, someone to get us supporters very excited about. I reckon we will slap a 5m for Hooper & 3m for the Leicester keeper as they will judge him on his performances vs us.
  20. I'm getting married the moment we play Coventry, I have planned for my best man to give the bride a note the moment she walks down the isle. My Note: Hello my dearest pumpkin, sorry I can't make it for the wedding as I will be watching my true love gain promotion. I know you will understand this as we can get married any other day. Yours truly Pilchards.
  21. Why don't you earn some real money like the rest of us....C O C K
  22. Of course they enjoyed it but some 20k supporters never saw them unless you watched the video afterwards. One of the best screensavers I have is the johnstones paint one with the players celebrating at Wembley, I would love to have one of the players lifting the trophy at St Mary's.
  23. I feel sorry for the players that want to do a lap of honour with there love ones, instead of having to stand on seats high in the stands struggling to soak up a pitch invasion. If we clinch the championship vs Coventry I would want it on the pitch right in front of 31k people and not see jack Schmitt like last season.
  24. A West Ham draw will get us there too.
  25. Have you got the video version of that please, I only need 3 minutes of it. :_
