Chelsea looked good up top but we kinda let them run us ragged in the second half. Some dreadful defending from the Centre backs tied in with some statuesque goalkeeping. We looked decent going forward though which was a positive.
-
Forster needs to be replaced ASAP
-
Puels tactics against the better sides at home rely on us keeping a clean sheet and hope we snatch a late chance. If the oppo score first it's game over. Over the past few years I've gone into the game vs the big sides expecting to get a positive result as we've gone out to win. This season I've expected nothing and we've got nothing.

Yeah, it's sad to say it but JRod just doesn't cut it at this level any more. Think we will sell him in the summer.
-
I agree about Long. He can't finish his dinner but does a lot of good stuff of the ball, and is better than Rodriguez in the air.
-
Forster Cedric Stephens Yoshida Bertrand PEH Clasie JWP Tadic Redmond Long Subs: Hassen, Caceres, McQueen, Reed, Sims, Boufal, Rodriguez. Set pieces will be a major concern - West Brom score them for fun and our side must be one of the smallest in the league. Hoping we can knick a point here.

If Chelsea offer us anything in the region of £45-50 million this summer he will be gone. Sadly it's just the reality of our situation.

Southampton 0 Bournemouth 0 - Match & Reactions
Harry_SFC replied to Pass the Dutchie's topic in The Saints
Puel is doing alright, he's yet to convince me yet though. -
Quite. He's really impressed me in the air this season. Especially away at Liverpool in the EFL cup where I didn't see him lose a header all game.
-
Jack Stephens is so out of his depth
-
Can someone who knows a bit more about defending please enlighten me as to why our back 4 are holding a line almost inside our own 18 yard box? We look way too deep.
-
Bournemouth looked alright - nothing special though. If we play like we have been lately we'll beat them comfortably.
-
Looks like he's settling in well

Who Do We Choose To Ship Out This Summer?

Disagree with this. Targett has a nosebleed every time he gets towards the opponents half and hasn't convinced me with his defending either. I think McQueen is a very decent back up. -

Taylor, Gazzaniga, Gardos, Targett, Martina, Clasie, Reed (loan), Isgrove, Rodriguez. All not good enough IMO. -
Bring Caceres in for Stephens - I think we can knick a point.
-
I'm predicting a 10th placed finish. Obviously the EFL cup run was fantastic but the European debacle and average performance so far in the league has been disappointing. I do expect us to kick on again next season however (If we keep Van Dijk and add a CM & CB)
-
If he is not fit he should not be playing, it is as simple as that. We signed a back up in January so how about we use him..
-
His movement is top top class. We've been lacking a striker like him for a long time now. Austin is a decent finisher but doesn't possess the same movement or technique that Gabbiadini does.
-
Hassen Cedric Caceres Yoshida Bertrand Romeu Davis JWP Tadic Redmond Gabbiadini Subs: Forster, Stephens, McQueen, Hojbjerg, Boufal, Sims, Long.
-
Good point
-
Forster Cedric Yoshida Bertrand McQueen Davis Romeu PEH Gabbi Long Tadic Close call between Tadic and Redmond. I'd play Bertrand CB to combat the pace and movement of Defoe as Stephens struggled to stick with Carroll last weekend. PEH in midfield to make up for a lack of height. I'm not convinced about him, JWP or Clasie to be honest but one of them has to play.

Seems like he's been doing very well for Walsall and their fans love him. Would like to see him and Gallagher back in the fold for next season.
-
Complete non story really. Happened back in October anyway, not sure why it's only being reported on now.
-
If we let him go then it'll just about sum up Les Reed this season.
