  1. Good point.
  2. Agree with this. We need a proper finisher to compliment Che and someone who can create chances. Hopefully this spells the end of Adam Armstrong. I'm sure teams from the Championship would be interested.
  3. This is the sort of player we should be after. Decent finisher and has good experience in a top league. Didn't have the best season last year but as you say, he's scored 10 goals already this season.
  4. He should've done better on the first one today but he did make some decent saves. It's certainly not the biggest issue we have, that's for sure.
  5. It was out of Adams and Lavia for me. Che edges it though - scored the goal and his hold up play was as good as usual.
  6. Bazunu; Perraud, Salisu, ABK, AMN; Lavia, JWP, Aribo; S.Armstrong, Edozie, Adams. Tough call between Elyounoussi or Edozie. I don't rate Elyounoussi but can see why he would play in this particular game. Edozie played well on Wednesday night and does deserve a start.
  7. Edozie, Perraud and Caleta-Car were decent. I've seen Mara a few times now and he looks extremely lightweight and always just looks like he's jogging around. Can't hold it up at all either. He's no where near Che's level unfortunately. The less said about Adam Armstrong the better.
  8. If Edozie gets regular game time he could be a superstar. Our best player so far by a country mile.
  9. You'd like to think the players will want to show NJ what they are capable of. Basing it on that, I'm expecting a 2-0 loss.
  10. Just as I had forgotten about that awful night 🤔
  11. McCarthy; Payne, Lyanco, Caleta-Car, Perraud; Diallo, AMN; Edozie, Aribo; Armstrong, Mara.
  12. Doesn't seem like any manager can cope at Stoke and who can blame them
  13. Poor bloke is on a hiding to nothing. I'm underwhelmed but you've gotta give him a chance.
  14. We can only hope...
  15. Supposedly the money was there for a striker but Semmens cocked it up. For me SR need to show some balls and start getting rid of those who are underperforming in their roles (Semmens and Ralph in particular)
  16. I feel as if this is a massive overreaction. He shouldn't be the number 1 of a premier league team but he isn't fucking shit.
  17. The whole situation has turned into a farce. Sack him or back him. Don't leave the guy in the lurch ffs.
  18. I think in the right position/set up he is at our level and I do agree that if we signed anyone better (Lavia etc) they would be off in a season or two. So we should be happy with that. His set pieces have been decent this season to be fair, we just don't seem to be attacking them properly.
  19. Didn't actually realise how much space JWP had at the time. That is really poor for a professional midfield player. He should have been scanning the space around him before he receives the ball then he'd be able to turn and play the ball forwards.
  20. Ings I agree with but not Broja. He only scored 6 goals last season. Obviously they helped but he scored less than Che.
  21. Not having Lavia/Romeu next to him has probably affected his game to a degree but overall I agree. He doesn't drive the team forward, isn't a progressive passer and is very slow for a central midfielder. I don't see him pulling the team together when we concede - as you say, he just drops his head like nothing has happened.
  22. His body language has been awful for a while now
  23. That's how I read it
  24. You don't think someone decent would snap Salisu up? Ok he isn't great on the ball yet but he's still very young for a centre back and is actually very good at defending. He has bags of potential. In the last two games AMN has looked good and Arsenal fans seem to rate him. Tino and Bazunu would go to Premier League teams and West Ham & Villa both wanted DCC so no doubt he would as well.
  25. Hasenhüttl: “You have to accept that we will have 10-15 defeats per season. If it is at the beginning, middle or end, it's not such a big difference. It will happen because the teams are very strong and even if you do things very well you can still lose a game.” You've just gotta love this clubs mentality. Losing is widely accepted from top to bottom. Happy days.
