I wouldn't say he's sluggish but he certainly needs to work on his passing and overall awareness. He does some things well and others not so good. Silly to write him off already.

Didn't think I'd be saying this but Charles is much more complete midfielder than Downes. I really like how he looks to pass forward as much as possible. He's also a lot better at carrying the ball forward than he was a couple of seasons ago. Just looks so much more confident.

Ipswich got all the decisions last week against Brum and it appears the same again today.

As expected we are dominating midfield but we've got nothing in attack.

Whilst some of his defending is a bit suspect Welington does look handy going forwards.

Yep I've just watched it back, the pass was literally straight at Quarshie. No idea what he's thinking. I'd imagine it's because he's not confident in using his left foot.

Sorry but why did Quarshie let the ball run, it was his fault, no one elses. Ok it wasn't a great pass but you've just got to deal with it.

Can definitely see a new right back coming in given he prefers Fraser there to Sugawara. Looks pretty strong until you get to the attack. We are desperately short on quality in attacking positions and that's highlighted today.

Scored twice in the end and the second was a good strike from the edge of the area.

I know it's only one game but it's a great start for them. They've invested heavily but it's what you have to do these days to have any chance in that league. West Ham will be down there this season I think.

Sounds like Leicester really struggled in the first half against Preston. Wonder how many of their players actually want to be there because their front 3/4 should be ridiculous at this level.
