Yes and the noises coming from the club over the summer were that he won't be sacked regardless of performance this season - even if we go down. Tbf if we went down fighting and took it to the last game or so whilst playing decent football and actually competing in matches I don't think many people would be too critical. But the way things are going, we could be down quicker than 2 years ago and that was a complete shambles.

Ever since Stephen s adopted this "free role" at the back end of last season, we've been dreadful. There's no need for it.

The reality is we got away with it in the Championship. Teams will just press us every week in this league and we will concede huge amount of goals just like that one.

Yeah they only looked good against Cardiff because they were playing their natural game. Won't be long until that's coached out of them though.

RM has had 3 shockers so far this season in terms of tactics/formation and player selection. Very worrying.

Armstrong, Smallbone and Aribo are all Championship players and it's so obvious.

Really need to get something from this game. Brentford and Forest are two teams who you'd expect to struggle this season, if we lose both then that's two winnable games wasted already.

Don't see why Archer couldn't play 60-70 minutes here. Had a full pre season and he's clearly a fit lad. Didn't look tired at the end against Cardiff. Coming off the back of scoring two goals, give him a start. Dibling and SAA were both knackered though.

Well I'd say he's definitely our second best centre back on ability.

Onuachu will go to Turkey but I think ABK will stay and Martin will cast him aside. Shame really as he's potentially our best CB.

Brilliant window overall. Would've liked another striker but I guess that's being a bit greedy when SR have spent almost £110m this summer. Time for RM to show what he can do with a decent squad now.
