The Queen has been a very good influence and always been there all my life. Sadly her grandchildren are not that smart. Id prefer as our head of state instead of what we might get with a republic, imagine characters like Boris, Corbyn, Rees Mogg or politicians like that being the position !!!

Should Southampton FC sack Ralph Hasenhüttl? -POLL
OldNick replied to manina-pub's topic in The Saints
Like with all the long term contracts we have dished out,the costs of ending them are punitive. So as you want him sacked, every penny is likely to be taken from our purchase budget. I suggest 15m would be needed to sack him. So that adds to the dilemma. Therefore I am just about in the keep him, but if the team shows no desire in the next 2 games my thoughts will shift no doubt -
So by my calculations, since I have been bornin 1959 (Pompeys relegation year, finished 22nd) they have been in the top flight for 8 seasons. As I have said elsewhere on the Pompey thread, they have always been in the lower divisions and so never understood how they feel they are a big club. Only time in recent memory that they did well was when we the nation paid for their success.

is it 6 seasons in League 1 now? To be fair most of my life Pompey have been in Division 3 and so its no surprise. As for Saints we will be in the Championship soon as we have not been lucky with new owners, (when we were he sadly passed. Just Our luck
-
well I suppose how you look at it. To me were lucky to win that one and Chelsea were unlucky to lose the Everton game. So I assume you feel we were deserving of the win
-
Can we afford to pay him off. Must cost us around £15 m to do so
-
just imagine had we not luckily won that one!!!!!
-
Well he have a nice 7m a year wage to make him happy
-
I doubt Ings is regretting his move at present
-
It also doesnt help that the ball comes in such a pace to actually time to get to get a head on it is nearly impossible. When Redmond took some at a slower pace we did score from it/them
-
I think only 10pints are likely to have you getting a dream like that

Not that its important in the grand scheme but I truly went off Ralph last night when my grand-daughter (11 years old)waited to see the players after the Palace game. It was an hour after the game and eventually Ralph came out and she asked him for a picture with her, he just looked at her and walked on. Moi and Broja were brilliant with the fans but most of the players rushed past, jumped in their cars and buggered off. Very sad by the players but the manager who is paid £7m a year cant do the decent thing and be good with these dedicated fans is plain wrong
-
He also has told the club he's retiring. No doubt the players are affected by this. When Strachan said he was leaving they downed tools. I know its not for a year but
-
Oh god, if Liverpool need to make their goal difference up!!!!
-
We're doing well to be above those 2 lol
-
Is it national smart arse day? I like it though 😀
-
It seemed to work, look at the results up to that and then after. Seems a big drop
-
Should have put it on in the summer, I feel as low about our prospects as i have for some seasons. Relegation next season must be more than 50-50
-
Is it only me that wonders that since the world was informed of our 60minute energy break, that has now stopped a massive drop in our pressing and results????
-
For all the joking, that was a good comeback, and a decent crowd. As much as I dislike them I think they will compete next season.
-
They are bland, and as Vardy is nearly finished they are floundering. I dont believe that it is a jump up at all. Their manager is on thin ice, so he may not be there soon.
-
If he is on a free then that would offset a lot of the wages, surely
-
Broja if not likely to stay why are we playing at the expense of AA and Che to try and see if they can get an understanding. The only bonus is clubs who were looking at him may move elsewhere. We are far too slow in our build ups, and whilst JWP is a decent player he is not incisive enough with passing forward. Its ok being tidy but when does he thread a through ball for our strikers to run on to? His commitment is fantastic and appreciated but we just allow the opposition to reset. It may be Ralph who has made us so negative, he is retiring in 2024 apparently so perhaps we need to bite the bullet and get freshened up. I have become a tad tired of the humiliations he oversees. The 4-0 at Villa, Chelsea ,and frankly we should have lost by at least 3 v Arsenal , to add to that last nights dismal display and then of course Norwich away. I have seen the ups and downs many times, but I do not see an improvement in the club for a while. The youngsters are not coming through unless we buy them, and we are playing stale football

the game changed in our favour once he came on, creating 2 good chances,

That is a terrible comment and ask you withdraw it. TSP is a tremendous podcast with decent people involved. Our fanbase would lose a great product if they gave up. We all have issues or disagreements with the topics and views at times but they are honest views. Dan obviously has contacts at the club and I doubt would risk that by going to print with something very wide of the mark. I myself wasnt pleased that the 60min injury was made public but again I assume was ok to do. As for TB he was a wonderful servant to our club and I understand why you are defending his name, but we have to face up to it there were many many lives badly affected by Higgins actions and as far as Im aware the club did have it flagged up well before he was moved on. People had different views in those days where such things were swept under the carpet. Again, I ask you to withdraw your comment. They are good people working for us and giving up precious time as they like you and I love the club (not Dan, this is common with journos of course)
