  1. Shame is Chelsea are not that good
  2. Our midfield is so dire. Plodding at best. Do we have anyone else? JWP and Hoj need dropping.
  3. Vikings were not native to Britain and when they came and settled they by accounts were pretty ruthless raping and murdering. Anyway back to the Maoris, they were massacred and that was a shame, but to apologise 250 years later about something done in a different attitude in society. Reading about their keenness for cannibalism of Europeans and missionaries, perhaps it was seen as the correct thing to do at the time or if it was part of their culture its alright? ps I did know your were from the UK
  4. I smacked my kids as children, and my parents did so to me. We learnt to respect what is right or wrong , and whilst fearful of getting the stick we certainly thought about our actions. Personally it seemed to work as my brothers and myself didnt cross the line and my daughters have grown up to be people Im proud of. I dont think they will smack their children as they are the new generation of thought and so it is good to see how the grand children develop as they grow older. I still recall vividly being the first child caned at Shirley Middle School by Mr Barratt the headmaster to this day. Was he right, probably not, I couldn't show the bruises on my hand to my father as he would have backed the school not me and so Id have had a punishment at home (not a smack) but he may have stopped me going to the Dell
  5. exactly. When is Norway saint going to apologise for what the Vikings did, in fact im so upset I think he should cough up some compensation
  6. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/british-envoy-to-new-zealand-weeps-as-she-voices-regret-for-captain-cooks-crew-killing-native-maoris-when-they-landed-250-years-ago/ar-AAIcZpT?ocid=spartanntp Why would our own envoy cry about an event 250 years ago? Personally I cant feel guilt about the event that happened. Yet another of the of Britains of our past who I grew up being taught at school about is now being piloried. Nodoubt there will be lawyers looking to get compensation. Perhaps the ancestors of the Boyd should go and look for apologies?
  7. I just watched the one that hit the post. For a moment I thought I had Frazer Forster in goal that night lol. Still brings back good memories with some smashing lads
  8. Just going through some old posts looking for something and came across this thread. I wonder where all these people are now, as I rarely see them post
  9. well they are not going to do anything to help us as they dont want other nations to leave as well. I dont blame them wanting to do the best deal for their club, as I would do the same. They are just fortunate they are negotiating with a splintered nation. Had our political elite stuck together and done the right thing for our nation our deal would have been better for all.
  10. I don’t know why somebody hasn’t done a football version ‘of the saints are coming’ (Skids)
  11. I don’t get that as surely the border will be in place if we don’t do a deal, and so surely they should be campaigning to get a deal done without the backstop. If we leave, the EU will be forced to put up borders, would we not be able to say we aren’t going to put one up and so the EU/Irish have to do the border and they are the ones making the move not us
  12. if that is the case then the opposition parties should vote for an election as the majority will obviously vote them in
  13. If you have ever watched Inbetweeners you will see a similarity to Simon, a right weak minded fool, you have him there presenting a Pompey show. As for the car journey at the start, pleeeeease
  14. Unless you have the same people in the same areas at each game sometimes the singers get mixed with the less vocal. Im sure the volume will be the same to fans at other parts of the ground and its only perception that there is no atmosphere in our end. Our fans are as good as any and it is annoying that we are even having this conversation. They always can be heard at games and it is pretty insulting to our travelling support tht such things are said.
  15. Well I suppose we all have eyes on managers who we would like who we had not a cat in hells chance of getting. Personally I believe he has shown he is a good manager and if we had snared him it would have been a coup, not that I particularly like his morals but he may have done well.
  16. would he have left Celtic to join us? I suspect that he saw owners at Leicester who would spend money and the squad was better than ours. Why join us with a mundane squad and owners who nobody really knows their motives
  17. perhaps the piped atmosphere was not switched on
  18. I doubt many other PL fans would want any of our players in their team apart from Redmond. We have little real quality. Personally after watching the 90 minutes on game of the day on Sky that we were pretty decent but unfortunate that Kane decided to have his best game of the season and we have little cutting edge at the centre of the attack
  19. good post Heisenberg. Football fans in the main are so fickle and knee jerk. That’s social media for you.
  20. Let’s get rid of him, we haven’t had a new manager for at least a year. It’s so boring not having the excitement of having another new face.
  21. I think it was a case of after the Lord Mayors show.
  22. 20 seconds lol
  23. Oh I see, I think in the present time it may be seen as some as racist but I must say Im really confused what is and isnt
  24. at least your mates you picked up would have had a phone and had the pics of youat FP. Cant wait to see them. I was in the Fratton end and stood with Westwood and his mates while singing OWTS. Unfortunately I left my phone at home and also the other 10 with me forgot theirs as well, who'd have thought it eh Oh and we couldn't of ad a harder draw. Cant see us getting through.
  25. A Mr T outfit is obviously worn in tribute as a fancy dress, wheras KK are a political and racist group and so totally different. If Wes decides to wear a fairy outfit does that make him offensive to fairies? Personally I m not into fancy dress but some people find it hilarious. I have seen groups dressed in many outfits be it 1970's disco dancers/groups to Trump, does that offend??
