  1. In their opinion, they are terrifying children who think they are going to die in the next 10 years. They believe they are doing itfor us all but they are affecting peoples lives trying to press their beliefs on others.
  2. It will be better 'project overspend' in L1, L2, Southern League
  3. It depends if you believe they really wanted a No Deal. A negotiated deal was always going to be better. Is there any reason now then for Labour not to call an election?
  4. The opposition had the opportunity to go for a GE. They didnt as they knew they would probably lose heavily, as I suspect the man on the street wants it done and is sick of politics. So it is not worth crying about the right and wrongs of what BJ is doing as if they really were opposed they should have had the GE.
  5. I do recall that Liberal democrat councillor who voted against Stoneham being interviewed by Lawrie Mcmenemy (Meridian) who said about the Rose bowl would cause traffic congestion when International games were going to be played and the Lib dem councillor didnt even fathom that there were going to be Internationals there! He made a right fool of him.
  6. Well that's not correct, the reason that shares go up when the pound falls is that our companies that make profit abroad have their earnings in $ , in theory means larger profits.
  7. I get your mirth Rallyboy but the alternative of no deal or the utter carnage of a 2nd ref!! is no good IMO
  8. lol
  9. it would be wonderful if all took that stand. Of course we will have all picking holes
  10. The pound is obviously a lot weaker than I would be if we hadn't had the leave result. It seems to me its going at present to be a softer Brexit that logically would be the best result for most of the population if we are to leave. Hence the pound has risen a tad. As I import fom the US at times I need to £ to be around $1.60 but if i was exporting again $1.20 is great. So as in all these things there are winners and losers . America for a holiday has become a very expensive place to go now with the exchange rate as well as the local taxes and the 18-22% service charge at the restaurants.
  11. Please go across to the Extinction thread and there you may be able to explain how vans and lorries can be electric
  12. to a degree yes they got abuse. I definitely dont want to see people kicked and beaten by mobs. I felt very uneasy to see the aftermath as he was thrown onto the platform and the terror he faced, but it may make some these people think twice about disrupting peoples day to day lives without having consequences.
  13. but surely you're not flying, there must be a place in Hell waiting for you, I think the term you used against people like myself on another thread. Of course you are as like the majority of the others preaching about the end of the world, you want me to change my life but not your own one
  14. as an aside did you go to KE school? I wasnt bright enough but with your sneering you must have made Eton or Oxbridge unis. I didnt even go to University and so am just a proll but I have done my best to achieve something in life.
  15. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/furious-commuters-drag-extinction-rebellion-protester-from-top-of-tube/ar-AAIUIEH?ocid=spartanntp It had to happen and it will have more tragic results as time goes on. It seemed to me it was the young who had a go not older cynical people like me. At the end you see one of them thrown off the roof. They may have got injured. They are nt the voice of the people it seems to me. They should stop playing with our lives and keep campaigning by all means but not disrupt our society
  16. It was pathetic and took me back to the 1970's. Those people wont be deterred. It will take a decade or so for that part of the world to learn. What it did show that Mings is a decent player and whilst they were poor he looked very comfortable. A bad oversight by Eddie Howe letting him go perhaps
  17. It maybe on the news but not invading our thoughts 24/7. Brexit will be used as the reason for any woes to beat the government with for decades. It used to be the EU but now that will be reversed. My point was though that we have Brexit fatigue and that if we are not careful we will put ourselves into recession by the indecision of the people at Parliament
  18. Bloody hell Whitey, yes I know that and never questioned it,but to most in the street once we have 'left'the rest of the talk in the main will be inthe background for the following 2 years not front page day in day out.

A disgraceful piece of dirt and I hope he gets his justice inside. The lads who were abused you can only hope can get on with their lives and inmyeyes have nthing to feelashamed of. Theywere tkenadvantage of and I suggest many starry eyed kids who so wanted to playfor Saints were there to be taken advantage of. I think it is unfair to blame the current club, as the old club is gone. I do wonder that some turned a blind eye to the goings on as he was bringing through so many good players.
  20. All those protestors in London today wearing their plastic based water resistant clothes and umbrellas, do they not understand the irony of this?
  21. It seems to me that you are a civil servant or the like with an inflation proof or index linked pension and you dont worry how long this takes. Very much like the MPS. I can only take my opinion from it where I sit with customers and contacts in other different trades who chat with me and give their thoughts on the situation. The City and markets are totally different as obviously they want to stay in the EU and so react accordingly. I would be delighted if this nightmare had never happened, but we are here and now therefore every week we fanny about, the more of our vital business and services bleed away into Europe. That means the nation earnings are reduced. Is there a deal that suits all, are there many people who actually know what the real picture is? You obviously think you do and so have a self assured arrogance that you know it all and we are heading for doom. I admire that in you as you have all the answers and well informed, but beware being dismissive is always a dangerous position to be in as you get caught out in the end. Realistically how many more years can we keep this saga going on as each side to and fro trying to score points? Im just a normal person who wants whats best for the nation and hopefully we stay wealthy enough to recover. I meet some quite wealthy and well connected individuals who like me are sick of it and also are of the same opinion, we must make a decision and move on.
  22. I do understand that this is only the start before the trade agreement is negotiated. What you dont seem to understand is that the nation is sick of all the Brexit stuff on both sides and once the agreement in principle is agreed then we all can give a sigh of relief and move on, buying selling, trading etc etc. When the EU were making trade deals with other nations the population took no notice and carried on with their lives. Once we get over this hurdle the trade deal will be put on the back burner and will not make the news unless the Guardian/mail/other etc want to torpedo everything for their own wishes. We cannot stay in limbo much longer as the economy is on the slide, not due to Brexit per say but the political situation where nobody wants the uncertainty of what is happening.
  23. The Guardian ffs they are really impartial. If as stated the negotiations have now gone into a tunnel then all is conjecture as any negotiation is totally secretive and only very trusted people know what’s going on. The Guradian is desperate for the talks/Boris to fail as it suits their political agenda.I don’t like Boris but really want us to get a deal and then sort out everything once it’s done, so we can move on.
  24. We should recruit the Brentford team, they unearth decent players on low resources
  25. Couldn’t as his betting would get in the way
