All the arguments on both sides can be compelling but can anybody suggest a way out of this mess? A way that will heal the wounds and also stop half the nation being resentful of the result? I fail to see anyway this can happen. If we go back cap in hand the nation will be a laughing stock and the EU will treat us with disdain forever and a day. We really need to strike a deal and get it over with or leave without a deal and rebuild,we cant stay in limbo like this as it is destroying the economy.

As for scientists they are not always right, in the 1970’s I questioned a professor at Southampton University that there may be more elements, he scoffed at my idea and said all that could be possibly be there had been found. I saw some studies somewhere that the sun was in a cooling stage and we should be more concerned about a cooling period, apparently in the next 40 years we may well have another mini ice age. My god it is all mad. At the end of the day would I trust myself or my wife/woman to look after a kid better than me, without hesitation yes. I suggest that goes for most men. Im not saying men cant do it, but IMHO women are wired up better to do so.
