  1. The Guardian is no longer a Liberal paper, it backed Corbyn at the last election. My neighbour is a Guardian journalist btw. Criminals have no fear of law and that is not just down to cuts. It is the liberal laws that allow them freedom to put 2 fingers up at society. The victim is too often pushed aside for the feelings of the perpetrator. I dont want flogging but in the country there are gangs of thieves who go around stealing from sheds garages and homes with not a thought or worry of being prosecuted. Stop worrying about the superrich as I say they are mobile and can give their tax to other countries who will delighted to have it. Everyone of them will buy stuff from our tradesmen , builders etc etc and so they are putting money into our society as well as large sums of tax. Dont get on the bandwagon of envy, good luck to them and I wish I was a billionaire id buy a couple of defenders for Saints.
  2. why is that? Nothing to do with the contacts they have to get contracts etc
  3. Also 8-0 and 7-0 wasnt there a cup game where one of his teams lost by 7. We have been caned many times over the years.
  4. They didnt start that way, they were coach to play that way by a very good manager. They weren't brought from Real Madrid BTW
  5. We need a couple of lumps as centre halfs from L1 or the Championship whodont play fancy but do not worry toget in the wayof the ball. Afterall we will probably need that experience next season. Sheff Utds back four cost less than 5m,they just do their joband thats stop goals.
  6. they stopped doing that as they haven't beaten them for 6 weeks
  7. You worked for the Guardian I seem to recall and so you are hardly open minded to business. Iam not part of the super rich but what you dont understand it seems is that the super rich are mobile and they dont have to pay any tax in the UK if we make it difficult for them. Many invest in our country that in turn creates jobs and wealth down the pyramid. We cant just have a nation of civil servants, teachers, and workshy, although the Guardian would love that. We need wealth creators who pay into the pot so that the rest follows. If you are talking Phillip Green and his type then Im 100% behind you
  8. We didnt score many goals and so the football was boring……...ohhh. A very unlucky man to hve lost his job, much like Chris Nichol he was judged after following a top manager and so was not properly appreciated
  9. Again a very good podcast, and agree Adam the standout, this week. As for that Steve bloke, all he talks about is going to the concourse to have a pint. He must watch the game on the tv's down there. I doubt he's been to many games
  10. I agree, it seems to be a token 'what can we do to make us look decent' without actually feeling any pain. Ok a lot of the backroom staff dont deserve to lose a weeks wage but the players??
  11. everytime we go a goal done there will be chants of we want 9
  12. its not the current board who bought the squad we have. If I owned the club and saw the state of the investment id get involved, 100m worth of buys on loan ffs.
  13. I read on here earlier that the players should be coached to be better, you cannot coach pace, heart and will to win or not be humiliated. The buying of this squad has been appalling and I cant see how we could improve this bunch.
  14. yes the club has alot to answer if not 99% for, but I know people wont like this but the club bowed to the fans and got rid of Puel. He was building with the majority of players who played on Friday. We played structured football with success and at times played some superb stuff. We just couldnt score. With time he may have been able to buy some who would change us and we could well have developed into a decent side, Who did he bring into Leicester that have helped make them the force they are, Yes they also got rid of him but again he had only just started.
  15. Just as the weekend looked a disappointment our friends at Pompey let in an injury time equalizer
  16. Sheff utd showing grit to get a point
  17. yeah but the new technology of VAR let us down 9 times, it was scandalous
  18. To a degree you are correct but there must be some good players around who dont cost 30m.I think you can look at other clubs where they have found decent players. Sheff Utds back 4 cost 5mapparently.
  19. When Ralph was being interviewed Stelling said that Redmond in his interview that it was embarrassing.I did not see an interview with Redmond, did Stelling get it wrong and meant Hojberg instead of Redmond. If not anyone got the Redmond interview?
  20. that looks promising and the way forward. we cant have players keep getting the manager sacked
  21. Bruce Grobbellar??
  22. I think we as a club have taken more bigger hidings in the top division than any other club over the years. For me it started with Everton 8-0 and then there have been a series of 6 - 7 - goal defeats. I suggest there must be at least 8 or 10 in the last 50 years. Good its bad enough having the re run of Leeds 7-0 on Motd since the 70's they can do a montage adding last nights game
  23. Nothing apparently as we are responsible for every bad thing in the world since earth's creation
  24. I suppose it depends if we are prepared for the managers arrogance or the players arrogance that they are prepared to sink the ship so that the can swim away from the wreck. Funnily enough we got stuffed by Leicester whose players see to rule the roast and have been responsible for getting rid of 2 or 3 managers. Horrible bunch it seems to me. As I have stated before CLough was never the same without Taylor and perhaps Ralph was with Rhl. This falls down as it was pointed out that Rohl hasn't always been Ralphs 2nd in command. For the life of me I cant understand why Rohl left us to go to Bayern lol
