Our midfield is not an athletic and mobile bunch. High press needs that to harry and pressure. Chelsea closed down our 3 as by the time they control the ball they were on us. Kante and co were far too mobile and nippy. Rarely have we developed young players in this mould and I despair to think how we will ever produce this. Is Jaidi really the type to do so??

Chelsea closed down PEH and Rom when on the ball which made them panic and give away possession, and broke from there. I’m for the youth of Slattery to perhaps pep things up. Crap football weekend. Liverpool and Pompey last minute winners CIty losing, all around us winning and us !!!!

That midfield is dire. All the worshipping of Hoj is a nonsense and JWP lack of anything is appalling. We need to do something special to change things. Try Slattery and Danso perhaps their energy of youth may Ings up. Obefemi is poor and I can’t see why he was brought on. Surely it should have been Boufal and so we could stretch on both wings. i an Nathan’s biggest fan but he wasn’t right today.

I smacked my kids as children, and my parents did so to me. We learnt to respect what is right or wrong , and whilst fearful of getting the stick we certainly thought about our actions. Personally it seemed to work as my brothers and myself didnt cross the line and my daughters have grown up to be people Im proud of. I dont think they will smack their children as they are the new generation of thought and so it is good to see how the grand children develop as they grow older.
