Whilst I have a few decent Omega military vintage watches, I have started wearing Zeppelin LZ129 . Good looking imo and also not a disaster if lost https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Zeppelin-7060-4-Hindenburg-LZ-129-Wris****ch/263256156576?epid=2256081558&hash=item3d4b4a29a0:g:dHQAAOSwHpdZ3Kzo A brand that might grow, as it has automatic movement , and also a name , there again it might crash lol

does it matter if he is not the worlds best person in front of a camera. There are many celebs who are fantastic with a script, you get them without one and they are as dull as hell.

I don't think so, although I could be wrong, Sims tore them a new one as far as I recall

For me every season in the 50 years I have supported Saints, I saw many dire games. Very rarely in those years did I see the exhilarating and exciting interplay, than I did in the game at home to Everton where we were world beaters, for large spells away at WHU. Add to that the fantastic 2 legs over Liverpool, the EFL cup final and away at Arsenal in the same competition. Let alone Inter etc. The EFL experience is what makes lifetime memories, the seasons when we also got to cup finals we would have had dire games, but it is forgotten. The bare facts are that if you went back and watched the nil nils again, there probably would have been 3or 4 gilt edged chances we failed to take advantage of. Puel was dealt a forward line that couldn't score in a drugs den, and it has hasn't changed now.

Just listened to the French journo on 5live, and he gave CP great reviews and said that the first season was to get a strong base and then go on from there. I strongly believe we have dropped a bolok, not only with the sacking, but also his replacement. It will be interesting to see if CP does well if that adds pressure on Pellgrino if he is still feeding us, unstructured nowhere football.

With the top 4-6 clubs winning a bigger percentage of games the points total is always going to be less for teams finishing 8th. The EFL cup run with the games we won and the scintillating football and tactical nous, on that run would give Puel a bit of slack. Sadly a lot of fans were like spolit kids and couldn't see that we had forwards who couldn't put the ball in the net. Had our 60m centre half and Jrod put away their simple chances in 2 of the European games we would have got through that as well

We got Gabbi right at the end of transfer window I think you will find. He also was not fit when he first arrived and then got injured during his purple patch. I also wonder, if he was sacked as KL was concerned that the ST sales were plummeting and her payday may have been affected

its not rewriting history, it is down to the fact that many have skulls of bone and didn't see the whole picture. Puel was disliked from the start by many, as he didn't speak good English and his post match interviews were not made up of quips. This made it difficult for the fans to warm to him. He was also not backed by Reed and co by getting a goalscorer in. I and many others banged on about losing 30 odd goals and not replacing them. Many fell for the 'we bought the goalscorer 4 or 5 months previous. A player who sadly was never likely to be fit enough to play the games, and also not mobile enough to suit our style. Sadly he was not given a summer transfer window to bring in his squad. We heard that players were not happy (how much truth in that we do not know) but is that not with any squad if they are not playing? The highs we had last season may be lost to us for many seasons, due to the knee jerk reaction our club made in sacking him. The cup run and finish in the league will be something we may not enjoy again for a long time,as our team has crumbled from being a structured team that linked well and created chances. Yes we went on a run of home games without scoring, but like Saturday nights game, the mediocre football is forgotten once a goal went in, those 0-0 draws would have been forgotten had we scored and won 1-0. I wish Puel luck and hope he does well at Leicester because I feel he was treated disgracefully by the club and a large percentage of fans

Probably off to manage Barca lol

I assume the EU can just play down the clock and get the result in injury time. For an organisation that tries to seem fair, they certainly don't play a fair game. Perhaps they are hoping like a lot of us , the British people see the madness of Brexit and ask for a revote. Personally I would be uncomfortable going back on it, but I'm sensing there is quite a lot of regret on the middle ground, that they voted out. Duck hunter etc would argue for it even if we crashed and burned.
-
McGoldrick was also another who had to play contract, in the minds of some on here, as well, lol
-
Souness etc selling VVD to Liverpool, so disrespectful
-
yes that's the EU's wishes. they'd love us to just sign that lot off. In that figure I assume we should have the grants approved to our nation for the period, needs to be credited back. I also recall that in our period of time the EU has purchased many assets, and we should be reimnbursed ur share of the property assets.Like any divorce , the house comes into the pot.

I don't understand the bitterness toward him. Without him putting us under ML's nose and giving him the idea, we would have had MLT's consortium. So all you precious lot can moan about PL football managers boring football, even though we finished 8th and a cup final. MLT's consortium would have taken us to The Sports Centre
-
I think Pue is a very good manager. Just the fans didn't like a manager who did poor interviews
-
Well if Tadic had taken the chance he put on a plate on Sunday, then that would have added to the pot. It is pretty pathetic to pick holes in a footballer who actually is being kind. Lets just moan about what they get paid I suppose
-
Sunday FF's performance was nowhere near as bad as the performance of Bialkovski at Exeter in the cup about 7-8 years ago. It was abysmal
-
You are a very sad individual that you had to go back and trawl through years of stats just to try and justify your nonsense lol. Play off final, that is not a national competition, or a major cup final that all the major clubs entered. I'm surprised you didn't find somebody who got to the final of the Johnstones Paint trophy. Why not go back and look at the Texaco cup, 1974 I think there might have been somebody then, or Sportsnight with Colemans 5 a side tournament
-
Please name any of those who also had a Europa campaign , and also finished at least 8th in the league in the same season. A manager of Mourinho's, and Fergusons stature were very happy to win such a cup.
-
I feel sorry for him, he must feel pretty low. I know some on here will say 'well he earns 100k a week' etc etc , but it is not nice for your own to turn on you. You only have to see the same people who are tasking the rise, get all precious if somebody makes them look foolish on a anonymous forum lol. I don't look at Forster as the main problem, it is the goal keeping coach. He has a goalkeeper that is from the Land of the Giants that seems that wouldn't want to go up on his toes to pick an apple from a tree. Elliott yesterday came and collected a few crosses, Watson should be working on having Forster really dominating his area. Going out to punch or catch the ball. Add to that he is always too close to his line when a shot comes in. I believe that he needs to be rested for a couple of games and let them work on his goalkeeping skills. Then bring him back
-
Lol,the ZDS I'm not sure all teams played in that and was a different format. I knew somebody would put that lame bit up. Look at how and who we beat on the way to the EFL cup final. I accept many fans are stuck in the positon that they whined and wanted Puel out and so don't want to admit the mistake, but in time people will see that he did a damned fine job without proper backing by replacing Mane and Pelle aka about 30 goals.

Mc Menemy Strachan Puel the only3 managers to get Saints to a proper cup final in my 50 years of watching Saints.
