  1. you might get an apology from a couple who doubted you,but don't hold your breath lol
  2. but of course if you put those players from the 60's or 70's into todays clubs, they would be fitter. We are doing a disservice to those players who did not have the advantages of the more modern physios and science we have now. Greaves would still score loads of goals, Charlton and Lorimer would still score worldies, and Bobby Moore still look a class above most of his peers.
  3. Graham Poll wouldn't give us a tin tack, if he found it under his carpet. Horrible little poser
  4. added a few inches of elevation? How you can say he was going to miss or score it is impossible to say. Fact is it was a push and a foul. There was no reason to push him expect to gain an advantage
  5. we are so good we have 70m players in our under23 team lol
  6. If he had pushed him like Yoshida was then I would have accepted it. If it was a fair challenge or marginal then and then given I would be upset., Zabaletta was not going for the ball and pushed our player. Tadics was a penalty, as it was a foul. It doesn't matter what way he was running. I agree that you don't often see them given, but that is not down to the rules but refs not wanting the aggro.
  7. Why was it not clear cut? Yoshida was pushed in the back to stop him getting a clear chance, a foul. Nothing soft or borderline. I agree some refs wouldn't give it as they bottle the decision, much like Fontes pull on Davis, Ive seen him get away with those in the past but they are fouls and the ref is correct. It is a shame that Hackett singles out Mason who IMO made 2 perfectly good penalty decisions
  8. It was a definite push and a penalty. I don't understand the 'soft penalty' way of describing these things. Its either a foul or not a foul. On this occasion it was a push an so a foul
  9. Lol, nice one
  10. roken glass for the job.' and 'Its the job ive wanted snce I hung up my boots.' I hold my hand up to that. Ballys quotes at the time of 'I would crawl over broken glass for the City job' and Its the job I wanted since I hung up my boots' were class less and at the time caused a lot of resentment. He didn't leave with any grace and as someone who believes loyalty is very important, I wasn't prepared to accept it. He was a great player and he was superb for us, he got the best out of MLT but to not know that City had to win on the last day to stay up was a joke. (for those who are too young to know, It was either to be Saints or Man City to go down on the last day of the season. We played out a tense 0-0 draw and City were at home to Liverpool. City went 2-0 down and pulled it back to 2 all andLiverpool were there for the taking. Bally thought a draw was enough and sent the message out to the team to take the draw and so be less attacking. It then dawned on them that they needed to win and so he then got them to attack and they so nearly got the winner. Those vital minutes saved us form relegation)
  11. I only have watched the highlights on Sky, but I notice a lot of criticism of Redmond, he was involved in 2 goals and also close a couple of attempts. Forster unlucky with the 2nd goal, both goals were brilliant poaching by Hernandez
  12. Chinese kamikaze pilots, whatever next
  13. Are you talking bout Trump or Boris Johnson there
  14. 'No manager in the world can make players here better.' Lol Look no further than Warnock at Cardiff. Why do the reporters not pick him up on his nonsense?
  15. £113M !!! crikey. As much as I want to see Klopp turned over, it would be worse if they got too much into their kitty. A sulking Coutinho will be half the player. Much like VVD of course
  16. Superb entertainer when I think he was in his prime, in the Generation game RIP
  17. It is bout time the media made it clear if a bid has been made. Liverpool said they would not make a bid, we have not received one according to our club, and so why is this carrying on? No smoke without fire, and I suspect that the piece in the Times is laying the ground for something to give.
  18. I think that is the best way of handling things.
  19. I'm not beating the club, I'm just looking at things in a more cynical rather sycophant view. It is a forum after all. I do agree I am takingTom28 as gospelwith his words but he has been pretty spot on in the past. As a moderator you may well have better knowledge of the likely validity of that poster.
  20. pot and kettle lol
  21. and you don't either. I do know that he was more into his project/dream than Kat. I also feel that NC my well have stayed the course, again nobody knows for sure. As for not caring if it upset the fans, selling to Liverpool if they were the highest bidder not taking into account how the fans felt tells us a lot.
