The clubs mantra is to get players to sign for us using the stepping stone scenario. If we then are seen to stop these players to do so some players may not join us because of this. Should we have really believed that no player was going to be sold, as this breaks with our business model? The 6year extension of contract thing is to the advantage of both parties, as it gives a player more wages but gives the club a stronger hand in getting a better price. The big thing about selling VVD is that the fans are tired of us bending over to Liverpool again and perhas are misjudging the strength of the fans resentment to Liverpool and then in turn could turn on the board
-
I will add that if there is no interest from any club and no offers are in why he is he causing this fuss. He must have some kind of contact with a 3rd party or he would not be downing tools.

Nothing publicly

I was listening to the Monday football cluband they mentioned Coutinho to Barca, and said how Klopp said no is no. Theythen said that VVD to Liverpool but didn't see the hypocrisy of their stand that Liverpool were right to stop him as it derailed their season, but never gave it a thought re us
-
The club should never have said that no player will be going when they did, as it is patently obvious that they will sell by blackmail. We are now in a Catch 22 situation.
-
I still don't get why we cant do that without selling
-
no doubt they did, as they were never around when a labour party like the one now was in power. A generation that gets excited watching Love Island , Big Brother and the Kardashians shouldn't be allowed to vote, lol I find it amusing that so many think the Yanks are thick and then fail to look at our own society.

Interesting about the Opera thing. I read somewhere about a scam that the people trick you to go into your computer regarding there being a virus on it. Nobody at that time could fathom why they sked to install Opera on to the computer whilst they looked for the bogus virus. It seems reading that it made it nye impossible for them to be traced when the fraud had been done

I thought that as well, it would be good if Steve waved his sub as he really seems to have insight into the club. There again he may just like teasing us and might not post anymore

I have always said he will be a good plyer for us. Yes he lacks pace but I don't think that has always been a problem. He hs been up against some pretty quick and decent attackers in his time. My only issue s that he doesn't seem hard enough and is a it of a girl when he gets a knock

When did Dec sign for WHU??
-
I'm sceptical that VVD is now sold, but at the end of the day if he doesn't make decisions he shouldn't come out and say players are not going to be sold. Kruger also as they are influencing people buying s/ts on the strength of a full squad
-
Hey Monk, put up that you also know that Coutinho to Barca is a done deal
-
Can we have your autograph as you are famous on the internet now. You will soon be on I'm a Celebrity
-
I'm not sure the board fully understand the resentment a lot of fans have to Liverpool keep taking our stars
-
Oh dear. It is gong to be fun with the Scoucers coming on to tell us told you so

I wish youd make your mind u what side of the fence you are on

[quote=edprice1984;2516297 Also, despite peoples protestations, there are a few names being banded about - Roberts (from City); Bitton and Armstrong (from Celtic) and Allan (from Napoli). What would people prefer a West Ham style 'everything done in the full glare of the media'; Saints current style which is largely played behind closed doors or a mix of the two? Knowing saints we will sell VVD and roll out the ' we already have the replacement'

ok thanks for that. The fees are not too punitive and the 2m if they get to the PL is nothing in real terms

[quote=Guided Missile;251 How did we let Germany dominate world trade, post WWII to the detriment of countries they tried to enslave? .because all of the German heavy industries and businesses never took the responsibility for their dealings with the Nazis. Krupp, Mercedes, Porsche, Hugo Boss ( he designed their uniforms) and many others who used slave labour to produce goods for their war effort at the same time earning a fortune, were allowed to carry on. I understand that they needed to rebuild their nation but we allowed Germany to dominate Europe . The German comedian Henning Wehn is happy to point out, who really won the war? I take on board your comments about the Unions etc in post war period decimating our industries with their strikes and militancy. Our management skills and product quality became rotten to the core . We left it for the Germans and Japanese to take our markets and I doubt we will ever compete again.

If we are in the EU Corbyn is not able by law to re nationalise. As for the Tories bad governance, surely they are following the democratic vote of exiting the EU. I don't like the result but you have to accept the majority view. The vote was basically worded in or out. I argued and tried to tellpeople what it all meant and early doors put a link showing the mess and terms we would be up against, but people didn't listen
-
oh yes I forgot about that. If it is still in place that is a major hurdle as the money received in the Championship is pretty high let alone the PL. It may be a problem for them

Perhaps that is why her published wealth has been reduced to 300m lol
