Exactly, he said something like I had forwards on the bench as we needed goals, well bloody play one or 2 of them ffs.

I slowly warmed to him, but had my doubts I think the euphoria of Wembley was the main factor. I called his football kaleidoscope , pretty patterns but for no real use. In the semi final of the ply offs he gave me hope that he would be pragmatic and non play his rigid system. It annoys me how he has ABK and Tall Paul and doesn't even try and utilise them, all because his footballing thoughts are against aerial attacks. I have argued in his favour the last few weeks as it really is too soon, but the brain fart team selection last night was alarming. To blame the players not trying and not tackling, christ Oliver was likely to book one of ours for any excuse, therefore we could easily have gone down to 10 if we had. Interesting all the players interviews I heard was them saying the same thing, dont blame the manager and we lacked fight. Were they told to say that

I dont know how that can be brought against him, as he was clearly stating facts, the countries gone to the dogs
-
I didnt know we had Roy Keane on here
-
But at that stage they were dire, much like us after the first goal we may have gained confidence and they may have dropped their game. I doubt a Ten Haag team talk would have pepped them up lol
-
I do wonder if the penalty scored against Man U and the last second goal against Ipswich would have made a whole lot of difference. Image had we 6 points before last night how different the whole night would have been. Such small margins

Sorted , thank you

Just read on X that Olivers wife is a Pompey fan, he will of got a 6 finger toss off last night, she may have put her front teeth in as well
-
Oh I totally agree, he is a lummox doesn't read the game imo. He is big and looks powerful but to me he doesnt use those to our advantage. To be fair Flynn was too busy arguing than staying switched on.

RM is too set in his ways. He is a frigging vegan, he will tell everyone whose listening that he knows best and you should follow his idea
-
Yep, not for me but my daughter and grand daughter, they go to lots of away games but didnt get tickets as my grand daughter had a netball match that has been cancelled
-
I can guarantee you that more than once this season we will be stopped/called back from taking a similar quick free kick, and no doubt Oliver will do it in a game on TV

As mad as this may seem I wonder if Gao's tenure of ownership was better than SR. He left the club to run and not get involved, this lot took a team that could just about stay up and tore it to pieces. Going down that season was a disaster as the PSR came in and the following season it was easy to stay up. Unless 3 teams goes into meltdown we are doomed The bunch of clowns have found a backroom team who couldn't find a gem in a Indian princes strong room. The players coming through and purchased are not of a physique and pace to compete in this league. Perhaps we should have kept Macca at No 1 and used the 25m extra to add to the £9 or so million we had to buy a decent striker. Not a criticism of AR but perhaps the focus should have been there. What happens if Flynn is unable to play the holding role????

could we do what Leicester did? seems they have got away with breaking those rules
-
Oh joy awaits when the 'whats the difference between Southampton and a Xmas star, the star has 5 points ' etc etc etc
-
I said some years ago we should get the Brentford recruitment team, now I feel the Bournemouth ones are pretty decent. Our team couldnt judge a village marrow competition
-
I would if I had an ex page 3 girl, it would ruin my concentration as well lol

For their first goal with the quick free kick, their player was still on the floor and the ball was forward by a couple of feet and 6 ft away from the foul. Normally the ref would not allow that. Good quick thinking but Im sure Oliver would usually bring that back.

let him do what he feels best with. It must be tough on him going to school where he will be the only Saints fan. My grandson to my disgust is going to be a gooner as my s-i-l is one, im very disappointed with my daughter that this has happened
-
as it says, please PM me if you can help thanks Nick

I would have thought with your important connections at the club and input into transfer talk you would have sorted this. 😀

I haven't read the finances but are we 100% sure that he is paying out of his own pocket and not loaded it onto the club?
-
Do you think SR are going to rip up their project this soon? RM infuriates me where he is determined not to play ABK and Tall Paul as I believe ar=t certain times hey could be important in gaining us points. He said he is sticking to his principles and wont play a big forward and long balls at the end of games when a goal is needed. Sadly even Pep does so when he has to. RM I will always be grateful to as he gave me one of my greatest football experiences with the win at Wembley. I want him to succeed but his stubbornness may make him fail

Both are down to the paperwork and associated costs. Notice how the supermarkets dont have so many products and shelves empty. Some may be down to trying to save waste but a lot is to do with foreign companies not wanting their goods rotting at the border while waiting for the paperwork etc to be done.
