Brave heart salmond announces his vision for Scotland
OldNick replied to Viking Warrior's topic in The Lounge
If there was no oil revenue coming in I doubt they'd get a vote in favour. If only we couldn't dig a pipeline into it and start pumping it into England. Are they 100%sure that all the oil is Scottish.? Apparently independence will give each Scot £600 a year more. That is if their figures are correct. Of course politicians never gild the lily -
Whilst I agree MP might look to move to a bigger club, I'm not sure he has finished what he has started here and may like to see it through. I suspect whether his family are near and settled will be a major factor. I would expect Spanish clubs could be a bigger draw .

It's got to be Hope Powell,

Wherever you go you are likely to bump into Spurs fans, it is unusual to do the same with Saints fans.in fact you get posts on here saying that someone saw a saints shirt in Ibiza etc, if the same posts were on Spurs sites there would be pages of them. Spurs are a massive club, just below the uTds etc but far bigger than us. We are a provincial club that has potential to be bigger than now, but it will depend on consistent success and a much bigger stadium. We could repopen this debate in 20years time

go to Sky sports and the golf and you will see features on him, he is the one with the leaf picker and carrying the dustbin bag. If you don't have luck there, go to the Forum football match and search for losing football manager and loads of pics of him will come up

No keeper is exempt from mistakes, I have seen all our. Keepers made tragic errors, even Shilton. Boruc is a PL keeper and a good one at that

'it is in all interests they do so' I don't think it matters to Sellars if the access is open, in fact I suspect it will cost them money to do so as their insurance would be higher, due to the risk of fans claiming injury on their land

The high nett worth must be starting to get edgy, whilst the crowds are staying admirably high (14k) yesterday, although they are watching cup finals every time, the thought that they may well be staying in this league will send shivers down the spine. The likely hood of the crowds keeping to that level are unlikely next season. Promotion I assume is a must to keep in line for the financial planning. They still could get to the play off places if they go on a decent run, a new manager would be needed for that to happen though

it was not about satisfaction it is about the preaching and if those same people were trying to do their bit. The governments can do some things but if people are not interested then it is impossible to police. We live in a soft society where hardship cannot be tolerated by the masses. If it was a case that we had to use our computers /phones / cars for only a couple of hours a week for pleasure there would be meltdown. I suspect that to turn around the damage we are told is happening that would be the very minimum we need to do. We want our cake and eat it -
that is a nonsense. Our defence and team is far more organised and so the keeper is under less pressure. Boruc is a super keeper but cannot make these massive cock ups and not have the microscope put on him. The last 2away games he has cost us dear. He will make it up as the season goes on

Oh, and OldNick, since no one has replied: I do fly, on occasion, when needed for work and holiday. I also usually drive to work, although I also occasionally walk as well. If that makes me a hypocrite, I won't argue the point. However, I'd say the truth (or lack thereof) of ACC, is not affected by my personal choices. The fact that I don't contribute to Oxfam, does not prove children are not starving in Africa, but merely that I'm a tit. Further, I find litter disgusting, and support fines for littering, rather than just a plea that anyone who objects to litter stop and those that don't keep on. Does that help? Hokie, I appreciate your honest reply. I desperately hope global warming is man made and that we can reverse it, as I cherish my grand-daughters future. I have read the passionate posts by the people who believe it is man made, but then am surprised that those same people have not changed their lives and habits. I assume the lack of replies would suggest that there are many warning us of foreboding but I when the push comes to shove they don't have the real belief and character to follow their convictions. It is easy to sit and preach and then do nothing to change their own lives, but then expect the government to do something instead. I see the generation coming through talking the big game but when push comes to shove they don't do anything. I was at school during the power strikes, the constant threat of 'oil will run out in 20 years' paper and sugar shortages, and still turn the light out when I leave the room. The young now, drive everywhere ,expect cheap air travel and buy throw away furniture clothes etc. it is all mealy mouthed, let others take the pain action. Ps I don't think you are a tit,but very honest and realise your shortcomings -
I just looked at the match stats and Scunny had 17 shots of which 12 were on target, Pompey had 6 shots and 2 on target . One hell of a Cup final performance by Scunny

Tough at the top, Bearsy

nail on head. I find it amusing that many of KDs biggest critics just brush away massive changers by Boruc. I repeat. I accept Boruc as No 1 but the hypocrisy of some on here is laughable
-
terrible, laughable if it was another sides keeper
-
well bad news lets you make threads GS ,so enjoy
-
no he was very casual regrding the ball coming at him at Stoke. he has made another error, also if KD has passed the ball to Wanyama in trouble against Hull there would be daggers out for him. I accept all player make mistakes and Boruc will earn us more points than he costs us and so he is No.1 in my book

yep just wait for the magical fitness video out in the New Year.

I think man does have an influence on the earths climate, but only in a small way. I have asked but have yet to have a reply , are you going on foreign holidays, do you watch partake in motor racing and do you walk to work etc. Nobody as yet has answered. It is all very well proclaiming about climate change and expect governments to do something, but you have to vote with your feet. I don't see much voting from here -
