Look at the games he played in, add to that bizarre substitutions when we were in winning positions by Adkins. KD always has been the fall guy by some on here, they disappear when he was gaining us points but slide out of the shadows when he made a mistake (DT is exempt as he always slagged him off). KD was man of match on a large slice of the seasons gone by, and especially at the away games. i accept he is not likely to be on the top of his game but he is still a decent keeper.

people are saying Gazza did badly because of the defence in front of him,but then conveniently forget KD had a defence that was in a worse state and not a unit. Jos had given away a series of soft penalties and Yoshida was trying to adapt to the new league. We are where we are now due to the brilliance of KD and RL over the seasons gone. The nonsense about KD at Sunderland is a myth as they went down because they were really poor and KD was the fall guy yet again. If you are gaugeing opinon of Sunderland fans from a Forum you only have to look on here to see how little you can take from that.

It is fairly pointless talking keepers on here, for a few years we had a keeper who won player of the season, also voted by his fellow pros as the best in the league he was playing in and still we had the so called experts hiding in the shadows waiting to criticise. Time waits for nobody and so KD is first choice but he should not be third choice.if the manger decides he is then so be it

Just because it is about saints that does not give ita divine right to be sold in the club shop. I assume the profit margin does not make stocking it worthwhile. The space may be used for items that give the club more revenue. Tough though that is after the work gone into the book,the club have to look after their own revenue streams.

It is all very well saying don't sell him,doesn't Shaw have a choice for his own future? Personally I would like him to stay, but his niggling injuries are a concern and perhaps a hindrance to his progress. Well Barry I prefer to see the new respect our club is getting when we play the top teams ,rather than your negative view of the progress we have made. It is incredible progress and I am rather chuffed that I have supported NC down this route,even when some of his seemingly more odd decisions were made. Reading that article showed to me t hat we are heading to be a major force in the near future. Yes I was happy to play a weakened side in the League cup,as at this moment I do not believe we could beat 4 of the best teams to go on and win it.
