I wear my poppy in remembrance of the people who sacrificed their lives (willingly or not) for us to enjoy our modern freedoms. Having a poppy is one of the best ways of showing that I will not forget. The author of the piece seems to be politically motivated himself and so is a tad hypocritical IMO. The more people his actions stop giving to the appeal the less his comrades have to relieve their hardship.

The CL thing at present is a dream (although this season may be the best chance for a long time to come) due to the lack of depth if / when our better players are not available. For us at this moment staying up is no.1 priority, then Europa league and if we somehow string a lot of good results together the impossible dream may come true. The league cup IMO is not worth the trouble

your position that people who are being realistic are happy clappers is arrogant but also quite childish. We are not the new Fulham but a progressive club that has a pragmatic approach to this season. You are the happy clapper if we are going to that level having the mindset that we had a hope of winning the cup considering the hurdles we needed to overcome to win it. whilst that is good it is still an increase of 3% on top of the 10%, and so I assume another 13% above 20years ago. A mathematician will be better at calculating the increase over 20years. There fore if we stopped our use tomorrow how many decades would it take for that to make any difference to counterbalance the Chinese output? When we go into reverse then perhaps there could be reason to be happy. I dearly want the world to be a good place to live for my grandchildrens sake, but Iam sceptical, Ifeel that we all are not doing enough if we really want to make a difference.

i think the goal we let in against Norwich was near post , Boruc is a great keeper and deserves our faith, it is correct that Kelvin would not have had the same Grace. He has been a fantastic servant to the club but is rightly 2nd choice

Even though it seems he made a mistake for Stokes goal, he is well in credit with points he has saved us.in the past fans have knee jerk reactions to mistakes by our No 1 keepers. With all the millions put into weather forecast and they still can't get that right, it is hard to take all the science seriously. Personally I think we are a small part in the the bigger picture. I also think we as a nation are pretty naive if we think our quest for stopping green gases is getting the world anywhere as it is a nonsense whilst the billions of Chinese and Indians are pouring out more rubbish than we have in our history. The younger generation whilst having the green message thrown at them ,still leave the lights on,drive when they could walk and buy throw away furniture instead of looking at a green product.
