Chez i agree with a lot of that but your assessment of Yoshida is wrong IMO. He did well against the hussle of Hoult, he is settling in more and is not making rash tackles in dangerous areas. I thought Bassong was garbage at Spurs but he gels well with Turner. An old fashioned pairing of 2 lumps who just get the ball away. Norwich were a good solid hard to beat side, the mistake by Gazzinga gifted them the point and so they did not have to open up the game, something that we may well have capitalized on in the 2nd half. sadly ghe was like a rabbit caught in the headlights 2nd half. There were a few occasions where he should have come for the ball but didnt. How he will cope in front of the Kop will be telling. KD made fewer mistakes but got loads of stick on here, Gazzinga has potentially cost us 4 points in 2 of the last 3 home games. NA is in a difficult position, he brought Gazzinga back ahead of KD, if KD is now shot and plays and makes a mistake then where does he go from there? He believed that he could wait for the kick to be taken before moving!! at the time there was an item on Football focus about him and research done that proved that in most cases you have to go the right way just before the kick is taken to have a real chance to save it.Shilts believed his reflexes were good enough but the ball was in the net before they kicked in lol

If the club is in a good financial position and the player is happy to stay then we should keep him. I think NC's idea is that like Ajax a player leaves and there is another starlet to follow. Perhaps we are in a new phase where players who wish to play first team football stay at clubs instead of sitting on the bench. I thought Yoshida was brave ,decisive and played well, ok he has a forehead that seems square and so the ball does not go where he /we expect but a great improvement.

First time watching them live this season. I have not been fully supportive of NA but if this is the football I will be watching in the future and NC will be fully vindicated by staying with him. Newcastle, apart from the first 5minutes of each half were totally outplayed. It was great to see no nonsense defending added to skill in playing the ball out, MS and COrk working well together in snuffing out any threat. The midfield and forwards linking into some superb counter attacking football. Magnificent play, and attacking threats from many directions. Well done, motm. NA he got everything right. The ref was poor. He should have either given us a penalty or booked GR if he thought it was a dive (I don't think it was) for a penalty.
