  1. that is probably the worst insult you could hand out!!!! I throw my toys out of the pram not arrange them on shelves
  2. Imran Khan ? Granty have you got my cheque yet? im still getting ads and I should be a full member
  3. exactly, i said that to a Bournemouth fan this morning. I suspect Bompey home is their biggest gate of the season and the FL conveniently made it their first fixture to get a bit of interest out there. It may get a few more s/t sold.
  4. how can you expect us to remember all those verses, not 1 word about pompey and no quality lyrics like Steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeve. Just a bunch of pussies IMO
  5. Is it only me that thinks that now TB is also working more in BC interests than anyone elses? He is using crude methods of pressure on the players (they will become more unbearable as they come back for training as every fan will be on their backs)to walk. Whilst many on here would say 'well I would put up with it for 30k a week' i suggest in real time it will not be so easy. No-one wants to face the torrent of abuse all the time and i suspect some will crumble. Yet again the football authorities are watching the crime but hiding behind the curtains instead of going to stop it. TB said some weeks ago the money is going to run out but magically they can still limp on another 5 weeks. Where those funds are coming from is a bit of a mystery, i know they have sold a couple of players but was it all up front? As for the FL ,as soon as they grant the golden share they will allow the potential chaos of folding during the season happen.

    Twitchy Gone!

Perhaps in a professional sense but he did not look like a broken man yesterday as he went to the bank. He is loved by the press and his name will be linked with lots of jobs, the person broken is Kevin Bond as IMO,he would not get a job at McDonalds if HR is not behind him

    Twitchy Gone!

Levy supported HR during his court case. he also knows that there is a chance of more surfacing in the future. HR on Sky and the BBC talking about his contract will annoy Levy as he knows he is trying to drum up pressure from the fans.
  8. Adult about it lol, ITV is a British television station and so the only way I could easily view that game of football. I expect no bias for a country that is not part of the UK, will the commentators wet their pants if the Polish score etc etc on the basis there are a lot of their subjects here?. I understand why Sky do, as they wish to sell into the Republic.
  9. i don't understand why the media have a love in with the Republic of Ireland. It seems to be the international version of the medias blindness to Pompey. I have never seen any pro English stuff from their side, in fact they seem to want us to lose with just as much passion as our media seem to want them to win. To me they have no greater affinity than France who are even geographically closer to where i live.
  10. if Pompey did go into liquidation would that mean the FL would have to pay the players contracts up? The PP would not come from the Pl and so perhaps the FL cant afford them to go pop and hence is a bargaining tool for TB and why the FL are doing nothing. of course I may have got it wrong who would have to pay if they do go pop
  11. There are certain players who fans never appreciate. A small clique find fault and can never forgive, they hide away and wait for their chance to snipe. KD came here and from day 1 had a faction against him due to the Sunderland fans telling us he was no good, they had used him as a scapegoat in their relegation season. Every goal keeper has weaknesses and makes mistakes, we have some on here wanting Green over KD ffs and he has been Mr Calamity on many occasions, then others have mentioned Bogdan on the back of watching him 1 time!! KD 2 seasons running has been voted best keeper in the league by the players who had played against him, IMO that tells me more than the judgement of the few who have an axe to grind on here. Thankfully the managers have kept faith and didn't listen to some who begged that Richard Wright be signed and KD be sold. (Wright did well when he was here but time has shown it was a purple patch) I do agree that we need a back up and if KD is not up to the PL this time round we need to make that change, but to drop him without a chance would be shameful. KD's performances are one of the main reasons we are in the PL, his saves at crucial times have been as important as RL's goals. Add his loyalty
  12. this saga has opened my eyes to how bent and useless the law is when a company ploughs headlong into administration. it used to common to hear that a 3 piece suite company closed one day and re-opened the next and you would just brush it off thinking 'they can't keep doing it' Patently they can and do, and the people we in society look to to uphold decency bury their heads in the sand. Is it self interest /incompetence or dishonesty I'm not sure but I am still of the belief Pompey have/will got away with it. All those who are happy for them to limp on I would like to point out that, Pompey were always swimming around the depths of the lower leagues until they hit a couple of owners who by hook or crook got them to the PL and Fa cup final. By them staying alive it could happen again in your lifetimes, is it worht risking? They should be crushed forever, but decency will not prevail and the dishonest club will survive
  13. The creditors will accept, the ones who are in CVA1 will have lost any energy to fight and would be expecting nothing and any new ones will be as stupid as the first lot. BC who is worshipped on here as being great is IMO the only reason Pompey were not liquidated 3-4 years ago. if he had not lent them mnoey then they were finished, no AA , no second FA cup final etc etc. He is the reason they will survive now and in time Pompey fans will revere him as he saved them.
  14. Thanks Ron. If I recall correctly the WHU game came the week after we had been beaten at Everton 8-0, to then go down 3-0 in the next game!!! Tommy Jenkins goal at Upton Park was one of the best i can ever recall, my first away game an evening match going with my oldest brother and dad never to be forgotten. I think Cloughie was superb, although at the time not. Can someone please delete the Leeds game,
  15. all that will happen, is yet again we will be frustrated with the lack of action by anyone with power. No points deductions, no penalties at all. It seems to me they can promise 40p in the pound to get a yes vote and then push it back and back with cleverly worded proviso's
  16. Well he has no pace, if that's what you mean
  17. Surely BC saying that he will not them get liquidated leaves TB no choice but to go to him and say 'lets go then' He is burning money trying to run the club, money that should go to the creditors. Therefore BC's offer seems to be the only one in town.
  18. Im a bit surprised as that statue does not look a bit like Milan Mandaric
  19. the biggest chance of Pompey ever going pop is if the receiver is likely to be likely to pick up the bill, at that moment they would pull the plug. Until that stage is reached they will survive and justice has not been served. I like the sewing machine analogy Rallyboy, although the inspectors of the FPPT would look at the factory and would still pass it,
  20. why is the FL meeting in Portugal??? oh the gravy train, not a case of spending that money on grass roots
  21. Hutch, you'd love to play me at poker,Lol Reading that they might not have paid the wages is an interesting development.
  22. Interesting to read a few of the posts this morning and there seems to be a tilt that many now are coming to terms that Pompey have indeed got away with it. The FL/FA and authorities seem to be all in the old boys club and just say to Pompey 'never mind old chap, you are a bit of a scallywag but carry on' How about a poll, Have/will Pompey got away with it
  23. its just agents getting interest going. Notice it says other PL clubs in the mix. If a player takes time to sign and has difficulty making his mind up on us, they usually fail. Aka Skatchel and Kevin Phillips.
  24. if clubs had to pay up front instead of 3-5 year installments the transfer fees and wages would drop. If money had been paid upfront Pompey would not have been in position to splash out for the top players when they did etc etc (that would be the case for most others as well) That in turn would cut the demand and so players would not be getting such ridiculous wages for kicking a leather bag of air, sometimes in the right direction. Pompeys buying policy and paying stupid wages for dross helped lift the players demands.
  25. I hope your confidence in this proves to be correct. I have seen little from the FL that insprires my confidence.
