there is an old saying on the lines of a kettle watched takes longer to boil. It seems to me the toaster takes even longer. I look on here each day and my spirits are raised as I'm reliably informed they are finished, only for my newly raised spirits to be quashed. Pompey have and always will get away with it, and whilst some say that being relegated from the PL was punishment and the recent -10 also , i would say that the relegation from the PL would never happened in the first place if they had not cheated as they would still be dragging around the depths of the lower divisions. To me they have had little medicine for their years in the spotlight and Wembley visits. I dont hold with, 'let them die slowly, as its more fun' as patently the patient while breathing still has a chance. Put a pillow over their face and finish it off quickly. It seems TB is as crafty as AA and perhaps feels that any creditors have given up expecting any money and will just shrug their shoulders and take nothing, also I wonder if he thinks that they are not going to take them to court by throwing good money after bad. Clapham doesn't post enough IMO, we need his insight to TB's moves and where they are likely to go next.Personally i believe that TB has Chanrai in a difficult position and he will in the end get little of his 17m back.

I havent looked, but has anyone checked how many loan players were on the pitch last night, and if they kept to rules the rest of football adhere to? I would never be surprised if they played more than the legal amount and the FL turned a blind eye. It would be karma if we have promotion guaranteed by the time we play Coventry and we can give them the 3 points by rolling over. Sadly I think even if we were the integrity that NA displays would make him not allow us to do so. Pompey look as though they could well escape, although BC and Coventry will have to be overhauled. Pompey have a great chance though and as i said the other day on here they will fight like mad against us . We have a role to play in not get uptight if things do go our way early on.

yep Mark Draper and that German forward were his 2 main signings.Lol all those players he signed for Spurs flopped as well. He was at his best when making the players Dave Jones bought, more organised and starry eyed. Any player of stature didnt get too impressed by his skills showing off during training.

The reason FP seems so loud is that all the decrepid stadiums with the fans really close to the pitch are gone. Merson etc would have played at many of the more modern stadia and the now unique bearpits are unusual. At the Dell when the fans were right at the players it unsettled many teams, they fell apart.Nowadays players are not used to that and so people and commentators get the unusual atmosphere. To be fair the constant bell ringing also gives a unique feel and it becomes a bit like a Delhi market. 2 more loans in, are the league going to turn a blind eye to their rules regarding the number of loans players in a squad ,is it 5? Beware of being over confident of our game with the Skates as they will fight hard to try and spoil our hopes, the fans will need to be patient that day , although if we could get an early 2 goal lead their will might falter.

I saw on sunday that there were supposed talks with the FL for Celtic to be parachuted into L1 (I would be strongly against this) but would it be due to a certain club leaving the league Lol

He will come good. i think it is great that we can get a player in and he is given time to acclimatise ready to play in our system.
-
he is desperately trying to find a buyer for the skates for one reason IMO so he will get his £2m, hence the rumour of the Canadian billionaire who Zahavi had as a contact

Nothing was made of the fact that Pompey's council were owed money. Now i know that it is difficult for them to push the button but i suspect a lot of the people arent interested in the football club and if they realise that they will have to find a bit more council tax to offset that debt may make them more inclined to want the council to get the money in. if not Im sure the club will put the council right to the bottom of payments in future. It must also be galling for a lot of PFC fans to know (they wont accept) that if Saints are successful and do get into the PL their grandchildren will become Saints fans (not all of them by a long shot, but a lot of the ones who live in the surrounding area and in time some of the city dwellers0

who's the one in the top corner with the eye patch?Do you get an eye patch free each time you go to FP and the incentive is if you go to 2 games you get one for each eye. Is it also a bit ironic that there is Parachute money dropping in to save them? It is a bit inaccurate as there seems to be a lack of brown envelopes as well.

if you like his smarm , constant refusal to accept their cheating and exaggeration he is a lovely bloke, of course we will miss his inside track from hos friends at the club Lol
-
Lol goodbye, I'm missing you already. You were always going to disappear when the s### really hit the fan. When things were rosy you were on here all the time bigging your club up. if people want to PM you then good for them, why they want to god knows. Your dramatic look at me 'Right i'm going now, post is as convincing as Drogbas fall and peek a boo the other night. lol. If you really meant it you would just disappear and not post, like most who dont want to have a look at me departure. I'm sure you will get a few from here asking you to please reconsider, your ego will be massaged and you will feel like Avram when he went to see his friends, for me I was happy to read your posts but if its goodbye, so long fair well, Auf wiedersehen, good bye You wont be able to keep away, no doubt you will come back under another name, how about Tiny Tears.

Redknapp on Meridian last night, i missed him being interviewed by Dineage, anyone here tell me what he said. i doubt it was too interesting, no doubt Spurs/England down to the bare bones!!

the difference is that a woman on the blob only stays like it for a few days. It is comical how he tries to argue that the money was not football related,I assume the 90k a week paid to the likes of Crouch etc was paid out of the gate receipts. We told him under MM that they were overspending but as always he wouldnt have it
-
if his heart was in pulling on a saints shirt then I'd like him to join us. He is a brave and committed defender, a player who will play on through the pain barrier.
-
Holepuncture you put the I 4-1 on your posts, why the Pompey expressions???
-
the Canadian billionaire mention in the papers today, saying Pinavi has introduced him to Birch. He does suermarkets and sperhaps sell FP and then open up elsewhwere. Also I thought Henderson etc didnt want to go a few weeks back, I assume he left his phone on this time now he is only getting 75% of his wages lol
-
Big Sam is certainly looking to have a massive squad. is he buying those 2 only to help keep Pompey alive or are they PL quality???? As for Tiny Tears Ho and his remarks, i have not been wrong during this saga, he cant say the same. What was it Tesco are going to pay £20m for the ground but Chanrai etc would get none of it Lol
-
probably, none of those quotes when we were so close to be gone forever though
-
and people scoffed when I and others say they will get away with it! I have said before that too many people at the top wish to keep the lid on dealings that may have happened when the cash went adrift. FA's throughout the world had dealings with Pompey, how much was dirty money? Iam amazed how other clubs let this happen, and lie down and let them do it.

very true, WHU should have been relegated due to the Tevez affair. I note WHU have loaned Piquionne out to Donny, he could make a difference to their season as well, whilst he is not a fantastic player he will be playing against us soon. As a footnote I met Westwood on friday he was setting up at an exhibition, none of his makeup or tattoos were on display. He was pretty sensible, but had to put 'I 4 1' in the conversation, I just laughed, he then added the date , sometime in 05. He was bemused that HR had got away with his case and had heard that a lot of the evidence was discounted due to a mistake processing it. He was not fazed by them starting again and said something about buying their history back if they went out of business aka Wimbledon, i wish i was on the ball enough to have said 'well you bought it the first time ,and so why not' Generally he is just a football fan, he was wearing a Pompey tie and as i passed i said I would be wearing my saints one and he replied 'fair play' none of the usual stuff you get when first meeting some of the thick skates.
-
That is why Gold was so keen for the FCR to go when he was on Sky sports the other night. They will be happy to take the minus 10 points if they go up this season as they would yet again get the extended parachute payments , spent 1 more year in the Championship as they rebuild for promotion again.
-
if you listen to his interview saturday that was put on here, he says that he knows people with money in the states and he is going to try and encourage them to invest. he is staying in England this week to talk to TB. With mates like him who needs enemies!!! i wouldnt like a friend to give me an 'opportunity' like Pompey thanks very much
-
the Sky special report was the weakest insight i think i have seen. A waste of 30 minutes of my life. To blame the revenue for not demanding the money earlier!!!! The clubs just put back paying the taxman and pay people who they need to keep the club running first, then worry about the penalties and interest later if at all. No doubt most football fans will sit back and think 'football is being attacked' Storrie really does have thick skin to go on national tv. I cant recall how much Pompey paid in image rights when they went into admin 2 years ago, i thought it was quite a lot but Storrie said last night he knew little about it as they had only paid a small amout as image rights.

It is amusing reading all the paper snobs on here. if people want to have a light hearted read so be it. As for the Leveson enquiry and people like Church (600k ffs) bleating on, it was only the scandal and tittle tattle that kept them high profile so long. We all want the good bits in life but those celebs who take the money by being in the red tops then don't like it when some un-savoury things in their life come out. As for Prescott, a man who courted Murdoch so he could have power.... what a hypocrite.
