  1. It is disgraceful how the Police have covered this up, but also pretty sad that the whole force is being tarred with the same brush by many. On the day, I suspect there were many who did above their call of duty. The Sun did apologise, we should accept it and move on. I do not feel all the Liverpool fans were above blame, the gates were opened and there were many outside without tickets, how many pushed in without thought we will never know. The sad thing is that decent football fans who got in to the ground died needlessly, let us hope that the people responsible do get their day in court.
  2. I assume the 2-3m they had in the bank a few weeks ago, is still paying the wages etc
  3. Ive just noticed that there have been over 4,770000 views on this thread. To put into context how much the had cheated/taken /lost in their reckless spend it would be about £6 a click(or view) they have taken from the revenue and about £30 a click (view)to all other debtors (£150M) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. i would agree if the carpet and fitters arrived late but the invoice!!!! Probably a small business and peoples livelihoods involved. Cashflow is very important. The company are at fault by not issuing the invoice but staff can be useless at times. They need a rocket.
  5. Did you hear those Crawley fans having a go at the ref and the Pompey bench? Things like 'you lot should have gone pop years ago', 'dont worry you'll be out of a job by the end of the season' etc etc
  6. that's a really good example to compare lol
  7. i dont wear them as I think it looks sad middle aged blokes in these kits. When I was younger i might well have but in those days it was not clever wearing your kit to the away games as you were a target. Well thats your opinion, when Im driving about I see a striped shirt and think it a saints fan only when getting close it is Sunderland Stoke etc. As we have been out of the PL so long the younger fans from around the country would not recognise us as Saints fans but Stoke or Sunderland as we have not been on the radar. The club will look at the best commercial way forward and if they indeed do want to progress in the East etc (not Norfolfk) they would like to get an identity. All in my humble opinion of course. The kit is smart and you dont look like a deck chair when walking around West Quay etc
  8. Funny how it is only now you want that. i can'trecall under MM and all that followed any noise until the bill was to be paid. MM started it all and got out before the s### hit the fans (nice pun) The countless times you got on your knees and licked the cracks of the ar### of Russians , Arabs and any one else who kept you at the top table is laughable. only when they started to dump on you did you ever start to question. Yes it is a rotting carcass, and if you were offered a phoenix club in the PL or Championship without FP or the old club you would grab it in a heartbeat. The only reason you hang on with fingernails torn and bleeding is to keep a league placing, you don't want the fight to climb the leagues as you know full well there are not enough of you to go the full distance. I always will remember how you came on here telling us your mate Lynham was the real deal and was going to save us, and i suspect you knew he wasnt but wanted us to go into the depths. What goes around comes around and it would be Karma IMO
  9. Wes you are kidding aren't you???? Mack is well aware of what he is doing and part of his great sense of humour, he is the Skate on here I'd be very sad to see leave here.
  10. Ho did that whole piece because he knew someone would post it on here and his memory lives on Lol. Some of what he says is true, we did not like playing 2nd fiddle to them, afterall we had been top dogs for 30 or more years and so it comes hard to see your neighbours doing well especially if you were in turmoil. I myself disliked the way they got to the position on the back of cheating. The FA cup etc can't be taken away but it would balance things if they suffered real football pain.
  11. I was at both and to my mind the Everton defeat was the worst by a long way. Anderlect doesnt even make the radar for me. If we had beaten Everton almost certainly we would have beaten Watford in the final, wheras the cup winners cup was never going to be won.
  12. my god what a sycophant, let him stay n Pompey
  13. i still have the scars of that day now, nothing has come near it although Tranmere away in the cup losing a 3 goal lead, when the master tactician Hoddle was our manager
  14. are you sure????? Watch the first goal where Clyne slips Fonte is flat footed. He panicked in the last 15 minutes slashing the ball away when not under pressure, and then sliced the ball for a corner that resulted in a goal and as for his marking of RVP for the winner!!!
  15. PFC will never be cleansed until you fans cut away from the rotten egg it is now. The shell on the outside looks plausible but as soon as you cut down into it the smell is unbearable. I understand the trepidation of not having FP, but after a couple of years you settle in elsewhere and you find that as home. If you really have faith in your cities support and togetherness there is nothing to worry about, but deepdown you know as soon as the club is playing in the conference or lower, the band of merry bellringers (the modern day Morris-dancers) will disappear and follow anther team. It is the league status that holds you together and you will grab hold and even push mothers and children out of the lifeboat to get in.
  16. well if we are 10% as successful I owuld be happy
  17. so 17 x £5= 85 This time next year Bill will be a millionaire
  18. it is a brilliant kit where we dont get confused with Sunderland, Stoke, Exeter and many foreign teams. New club new identity
  19. 6 yard box Lol, so you think KD etc stand on the goal line and never move out, it is getting more ludicrous as it goes on.
  20. I assume any other Pompey site will crash as the POL 17 join the new site to log on Lol
  21. Derry Iam not blinkered, I have said on here that KD looks less confident this season, but that does not mean the 2nd choice is better. People blame KD for a lot ofr goals when he patently was not to blame sunday. I watch the other keepers in the league and few come out and take the ball and their distribution is not that hot either. Lindegaard was poor Sunday IMO. If KD had let in RL's header we would have loads of dinlos saying he should have come and caught the ball. KD is getting near the end of his days but some would have had him gone 3 seasons ago, and we may well have not got promotion. There were countless times where he saved us points, Leeds away being a minimum of 2. That was priceless at the end of the season. i also want what is best for the club and sentiment cannot be allowed to effect us,we need another keeper and I dearly hope this Gazza fella is a good replacement.
  22. Surely the rent only being half what they were paying TBH it should be a snip. In fact it is odd that they not only did not agree to the rent but offer add ons for image rights and bonesses for the MD for good performances. I assume the £1m would be plus vat...ohhhhhh
  23. No he didnt, very restrained
  24. MLT was a fantastic footballer, a fantastic person, very loyal, a person I looked up to, but not the best judgement when it comes to finance and when to let things lie.
