  1. that was to appease the fans who want to keep the player, but IMO is not for the best to get us up this division. PS Pardew said Carrol would not be sold, he's at Liverpool now
  2. the folly of not selling Oxlade and using the money to buy Antonio and CMS becomes more blatant by the day. Oxlade will not be here in the long term and if as some say we would get above 5m for him ,then balking paying just over a £1m for a forward who has already scored 24 goals in this league this season is laughable. Holding onto Ox was a vanity not proper sense in getting us up the leagues. Please do not tell me that the club have plenty of money, as the window showed to me we are working to a budget. Last season we bought Fonte and Barnard for real money, this season????? Forget not also come May LB may not even be availible so who then to play alongside RL...

    Cool videos

thanks Dune for wasting 39secs of my life
  4. Deppo i'd join you but i can't afford to lose any weight, I'd be stick thin
  5. How could Hypo keep complaining about Deppo!!!! if he goes this place will be boring
  6. it does seem extreme that this poster is not allowed to see the main board, there again it may be a blessing in disguise for him. Some of the rubbish put on there at times!!!!
  7. seriously funny thread Deppo. Are you licking the back of your hands to try and get some salt intake?
  8. you're welcome to go, there will be loads of Pompey wannabees hoping to find a little old lady with a saints scarf to pick on. I have the offer to go as a guest of one of the bournemouth directors but am not sure whether to go. it could mean an end to a friendship
  9. I think BC is not allowed to take money out of the club but I assume he is able to take massive interest on any loans he makes
  10. perhaps but it may alos be more than 0.02% of the famillies aggravation
  11. I would put evens on the Liebherrs selling what ever happens. I dont believe ML's children have they same commitment to us that he did.If ML was alive we would have had a couple of signings to bolster our promotion up the leagues. IMO we are being left to our own devices by the heirs, NC is doing hios best with the resources on offer.
  12. apparently some vandals have smashed up one of their transmitting stations in Basingstoke. it is annoying to say the least not to have my Blackberry working
  13. they live a charmed life and whilst many thought they would go down they have a decent first team. I doubt they will get to the play offs but winning 4 on the trot has made them climb the table. Their loans in have all been good, and perhaps we should take a leaf out of their book and get some in
  14. well we lost a massive contract with the Saudis due to our authorities a few months back. Dubai Phil will give you more info. A citizen can be killed by a Chinese French or US bullet as well as British ones.

did you take that from the instruction book of the Holy hand-grenade in the Life of Brian Deppo ?

just how many journalists do we need to cover some of the stories. Radio 2 had their presenters in Egypt the other day to report on the goings on!!! We had Top of the Pops taken lock stock and barrel out to some sporting event a few years back, what relevance that had lord knows. Too much money in old practices, BA mark 2
  17. We lost a massive defence contract to the Yanks and French a few months back as we tried to be ethical about bribes (to us it is seen as a bribe , in the Arab world part of life) It was worth billions of pounds, im sure all the moralists will be happily tucked up in bed while the people in the defence industry lose their jobs and have the worries that go with it. It is OK being Mary Poppins if you live in a cossetted world of job security and you know there will always be money on the table for food etc. but when the moralists go into the real world, it is dog eat dog and dont think the emerging nations will give a flying f### about how the weapons are being used when they want the contracts
  18. they certainly like to make the history books, another bit of one up-manship if they do into admin for the 3rd time. i dont think Sinatra tried that many comebacks
  19. what a terrible bit of news RIP
  20. I hope Bart's injury is not as it seems. If KD gets injured we are well in the mire
  21. Why is the government always to blame? Whilst if it is dangerous, these people go to these jobs for big wages and when it goes a bit pear shaped they whine and blame the government for not getting them out. They would have known over a week ago that things were getting heated and should have moved their arses then and taken personal responsibilty.

IMO the club have not used the loan/transfer window very well. There could be varying reasons why of course, ML will still to be agreed, NC not prepared to loosen the purse strings, NA happy with the squad but we really should have got a couple more in. I dont count players on the books not being sold or agreeing new contracts as a signing, and still feel we should have cashed in on OX and bought a couple of players who would make the difference. Whether these things are a criticism of NA and his ideas I'll leave for others to decide.
  23. that could be a play on words
  24. has their embargo been lifted then?
  25. LM was IMO the greatest ever Saints manager and i was privilaged to watch Saints whilst he was in charge. Post his management i believe he rarely covered himself in glory, but i can't help enjoy watching his interviews as he sparkles. I still smart how he left us for Sunderland, and i lost so much respect for him then, and now the politics is another constant nag. If i had my way a stand or suite would be named after him and he would be welcome at the club, but i won't stand for him sniping away at the football club as that is bigger than any person who has ever represented us. PS My father would have said Ted Bates was our best manager as he loved Charlie Wayman and Terry Paine and saw us go up the leagues. I suspect many of the young fans feel WGS was a great manager for us. History is important but it is hre and now that regenerates the fans of tomorrow and so these next few weeks months and years are going to be oh so important.
