  1. If Hypo has really had a PM campaign against Deppo then what a saddo.
  2. i sent a link to one of the items on the saga asking how people pass the FPPT, and are allowed to own a British football club. I was sent back the link of their rules adding that they cannot comment on any links or posts included. Its like dealing with FIFA, I feel that whichever football club it is they don't care as long as money is being brought in. I feel sad that a sport that I have adored all my life is tarnished by such goings on. I accept it is naive not to think these things are not around, and am certain in the past that our own club has been involved in unsavoury actions, but as football fans it is distasteful.
  3. Any prospective owner of a Football League club has to pass The League’s Owners and Directors’ Test (which can be viewed here http://www.football-league.co.uk/regulations/20100801/appendix-4_2293633_2128219).
  4. of course, unless he is Stevie Wonder
  5. if Deppo has been banned for good , it is a disgrace. Are so mnay on here so humourless not to understand his humour. I agree that Granty and Baj have a hard task but they need to understand this site needs lightening up sometimes due to some of the boring subjects and dare I say posters. I have met both Granty and Baj and both our good lads, I ask that they reconsider and let Deppo back.
  6. isnt that what she says about you Lol
  7. she is a bit too young for you, if you had put your sister Wendy then i may have been inclined to believe it
  8. doubt he felt a thing....when you hit him that is
  9. http://order-order.com/2011/06/02/the-bank-of-englands-great-inflation-swindle/ Just read this item online and maybe interesting to some
  10. after the news of S/T prices i would think it is time to unveil a signing to deflect the upset
  11. For the core support I have no doubt that the majority would renew even if there was only a week to do it in, but as the 10,000 spare seats for most games showed last year, there is still a very large audience out there who need to be enticed back. Giving them three weeks (with some steep season ticket prices) doesn't seem to be the most aggressive sales policy. It seems that the club wish to sell less S/T but more on the day basis. I know Man u like to have more fans turn u who are not there every game as they are likely to spend in the club shop.Te novelty of going to the game is higher for those people and if they bring a youngster then the shop is normally a port of call. I'm sure Im wrong as normal but..
  12. I assume it is down to the retirement age being lifted. in theory i suppose the club feel that the concession only goes to pensioners. I get no concessions either and would like them to lower it to the over 50's
  13. I dont agree, Walcott is and will be a fine player. Wenger has not given him the confidence. You watch Arsenal and he takes off TW when it should be another. As TW is not a arguementative type Wenger goes for the soft option. TW tore the Barcelona deefrence apart a year ago and they were scared of his pace and skill, it is Wenger who has stalled the development of TW
  14. It is hardly the same, it is more like watching enjoying someones kid playing with the proceeds of the crime. A tinge of guilt would be there, but as the Old Bill had watched as he had knocked the old Lady over the head and helped put the the cash into the swag bag. The police eventually taking him to court, who after looking at the evidence for days, then were told that whilst he had mugged people numerous times before was sure that it wouldn't happen again as they had now a proper carer in place. This lasted until they were brought in front of another beak, who then let him off as the prosecution had read another persons charge sheet and tried to use the wrong course of attack.
  15. West Ham , if Allardyce gets into them, Pompey now they are going to get some players in, Brum perhaps
  16. Laughable,I have shown no sympathy (apart for the few decent Skates) but tried to put a different slant on the 'toast' scenario. They have got away with it, and many other posters on here who are far better qualified than me have seen a business that if it had been in any other sector closed forever. They were judging the situation by normal terms , whilst i was looking at it from the standpoint how it looked that there is so much corruption running through the whole of football and the top, that they would slip out of it. Im incredulous that yet again they have found some people to buy them. The Russian connection? Gaydamek may be a friend, interesting that Ambramoch's Chelsea are visiting as well. All coincidence but who knows. The FA PL and FIFA seem to be all the same,, rotten to the core
  17. The gloating has returned, lost your voice for a few months though Lol
  18. but that is it. Who has won in all this? The fans and the players. Pompey have always been a dirtyy little club who swam around the depths always trying to feed near the sewer pipe. The hardcore of their fans saw some terribler days and for those few im happy as they were proper fans like any other clubs. Then came the money that may be from dubious sources. The fans saw and experienced games that fans of clubs who played it straight never did. I saw Saints win the cup all those years ago, but i have not been privilaged enough to take my daughters to see us win a top trophy, the Skates have done so ,and all the JCLs with them. So who is right in all of this, I think i would be hypocritical if I said i would rather do it clean as quite honestly i think we should just spend to the hilot and get the succes as it seems the authorities just dont care
  19. Exactly, poor old Pompey fans whose club was supposedly toast , have suffered 4 Wembley trips ,a European run, a team of star players and internationals,2 big wins over their bitterest rivals the media attention and pity. I think I would like a bit of that toast. They have got away with it and have experiences that i would have liked to have taken my kids to enjoy. There are some very good people on this thread who have thought they were toast but must be wringing their hands in frustration at how this has unravelled. This thread is not for giving, we have been shafted as football fans and taxpayers
  20. Lol, it must have made your day that you could resurrect GH 's name Lol. This is the man whose signings were Rosler and Draper. Who left us with a worse squad than he left us with and was in charge during the worst and most embarrassing TV defeat (far worse than FP in the relegation season) 3-0 up at Tranmere and his wonderful tactical brain managed to get us a defeat from that position. He organised the team that DJ built but that is where he stopped. He jumped ship, and shamefully left us in the lurch just as we were going to a new stadium. For me I didn't think we played very attractive football under him, just more organised.
  21. i thought Chester went to the wall only a year ago. If the case is that the courts will not liquidate, lets all go to the party and sign up whoever and compete with Man City in the transfer market
  22. The comedy thought police are in full swing here. MO made me laugh on many occasions, and is obviously funny enough to get some good gigs. You only have to read some of the threads on here about the so called 'wonderful' comedians like harry Hill to understand that humour has changed. The young don't get the older humour, much like myself when I used to hear Arthur Askey's stuff, I was cold to it and still dont see why my parents generation laughed at him. I do believe his siding in the politics of the club during the Lowe era did make him some enemies.
  23. yet again they will have got away with it. How long is it now that this thread has said they are toast but somehow they hang on and live again? I assume that the Pompey Trust are well informed and the talk of the Russians pulling out has long gone. SC will be plunging into the transfer market and yet again they will have a squad more than capable of holding their own and perhaps making a push for the PL. Please nobody ever tell me that British Justice is the best in the world......for cheats perhaps but not for fair pay. FIFA look like babes in arms compared to the way that lot run
  24. a snake said to his friend ,'is our venom poisonous?' 'why?' was the reply 'well I just bit my tongue'
  25. It seems to me that Pompey are like the moonlighting tradesman, the taxman and authorities seem to be oblivious to their actions. They must be offering big wages to get the squad together. I assume the Russians have given them the nod to chase up these players and get them ready to sign.
