A very good post. I do think the press are being quite hypocritical as they sell on the pictures to their readers. My concern is more that the camera man will miss vital incidents. Is it also a way of stopping the press getting pictures of fans showing their disapproval of any officer/member of the club at anytime in the future?

I like Hammond but am a tad concerned that he has gone backwards not improved. He is a winner ans puts a bit of bite into the midfield

I didn't mean to give the impression that JP had a bad game, as I thought he was oK but his speed does seem to have dropped. Had we had a forward who had aerial ability im sure we would be all upbeat as the crosses were dangerous and waiting to be be claimed, our two small forwards had no chance.DH should have done better with his free header, as in most of these games we need to score first so the opposition have to come out of their shell.

2 of those didn't start saturday and we have no back up to Lambert if he is not fit. Puncheon could not out run his defender and so our attacks were nullified. I am not a fan who thinks we are the best team in this league, i am alarmed at the lack of pace and would like the club to strengthen in a few areas. It was alarming that Barnard and Connelly did not get a sniff and showed our over reliance on RL.

How can we play Morgan in an attacking midfield role when he he doesn't know how to put the ball in the net? Plymouth did the job all team,s will do at SMS. Shut up shop and let us play our pretty football 35yds from goal, they will fill the box and stop us getting the ball to our forwards, then nick a goal from a couple of attacks. You can talk about morgan and his position to the cows come home but unless you have pace up front that hurts/scares the opposition we will have lots more of these debates.Since we dropped from the PL we have not played the way most teams get out of these leagues, a big brute of a centre forward with players around him to take advantage.

I went to a do on saturday night where there were a couple of friends who are with HMRC (1 high up in corporate collection) I have not spoken to them in all the time of the court case and dealings with Pompey as it would put them in a difficult position.As the case was over I asked them and they said they were devastated.They had not been on this case. They say they are calling Pompey, HMRC FC and taxpayers fc .The FA cup needs to be re engraved

my 3pence worth. We got some really good crosses in but did not have any aerial power to take advantage. A back up for Lamberts air power should be a priority. Their number 3 was too strong for us. A team with no pace will always struggle. We still have not come to terms that to win this type of league you need a great big bully/lump at centre forward for others to feed off. Jaidi is finished Morgan IMO is not as good as some believe Plymouth were poor and scored with their only real attempt, and that was due to comic defending. We will get better, but we had nothing on the bench (apart from AL) to change things unlike last season with Antonio, Papa. Lallana looked good and bright when he came on It is on ly the first game and so be patient, but AP is already under pressure and the fact he has not/allowed spent money is telling as NC's position on him.

The moment Pompey kick off this season they will be safe as the FL will be left with the same problem that the PL had, as in a team unable to fulfill their fixtures. They will again get help that scu's the league

they have been waiting for this game for a long time. I saw a friend who is a Bournemouth fan yesterday and he said 'see you at SMS tuesday' I really didn't know it was as soon as next week. He understood as he felt that the game was a big thing for them but not for us.

They have the nucleus, and a good manager add a few faces and they could be a force in a league that is quite average. If Chanrai feels like a gamble and throws a few million at it , he could get back to PL riches. masterstroke or what

I watched Lampitt being interviewed and expecting him to be crowing. It was interesting that he said they still had some difficult hoops to jump through. The football share has to transferred to a new company (VFTT your moment may come) and that the FL had to be happy. It is an interesting situation as in his own admission the new owner may not be in place until the end of the month. The FL need to know before saturday whether Pompey can fulfill their fixtures, if not they will be drawn into the situation the PL faced last season where they had to bail Pompey out to keep the PL's integrity and not have the mess of everything being screwed by results being expunged. Also on Talksport the judge heard that Chanrai was charging 28% and pocketed £4 for the sale of Kaboul.

all we need now is for Chanrai to inject a few million to add to Cotterill's squad and they could make it back up. Just think of the money to be made from that again. They may not have a stadium or training pitch but just going up and down every year really gets the ££££££££££££'s coming in
