How much more humiliation does this squad are going to put us through. Imagine Salah and co enjoying their day out here for the last game

To be fair KDB brain is a lot quicker than most football people, hence he makes up his lack of pace with brain power. I am certain that NJ was not the answer but he may have got a few more points than Selles. Whose 2 wins were down to Chelsea and Leicester being profligate in front of goal. They should both have won by a mile. All IMHO of course
-
Fair point but lower leagues less away fans, it must be some of our problem where we cant make the ground hostile for away teams?. If Carlsberg did easy wins and great away experience then SMS is the place.
-
Fair point Whitey but he has now back to fitness been one of our standouts. Ironically his mistake against Wolves helped Jones lose his job. (although he was gone then already as the fans had totally lost faith)
-
Appalling record, I firmly believe we will never make SMS a fortress, as we have to give our home advantage away by giving the away fans a prime position to nullify our home support. Is there another ground in the country where this happens???

Jones just irked fans with his comments. Tried to justify himself instead of saying 'I know I not your first choice, but I really want us to succeed' Most fans would have given him the chance, but no he had to go and say' he was the best in Europe' Why our media team let him carry on doing those car crash interviews is beyond me.. A couple of decent extra results he may have been ok. He was the one who made the decision to bring Jan back, who has been very good. If he had kept his mouth shut he may well have turned things around as like Dyche he would have made us more resilient. We really needed the get at them approach. Sadly the players gave up especially during the Forest home game and he was done. He was not my choice by a long way but I did like the thought we would at last have some grit to our play.

Iam a bit concerned as mad as it may be that, he is 3rd favourite for the job and the way he is talking and says he is evaluating how things have gone he may be still here next season. It is The Madness of King Ankerson that he may well do something like this!!!!!

Ralph was forever barking instructions, seems we have a load of players who are like performing seals
-
Baz is young and will improve. It was criminal leaving him in the side so long. His confidence was shot and the defence didnt help. I may be very old fashioned but how about a goalkeeper keeping the ball out of the net and defenders clearing the ball. It just seems odd that, Man City decided to play across the back and then it seems all clubs want to do it. Our players in the main are not comfortable on the ball and so why put them under extra pressure.

If Harry says it, it must be true. SAS ffs. There are always helicopters when we play them.

Convenient that most of the ban is during the summer months, lol. So a half hearted ban rather than say a year

DVD is out next week

when we went down in 74 Man Utd came with us, they only stayed down a season. They took thousands to away games without tickets. when they came to the Dell there was just a pocket of Saints fans in the Milton. It was bedlam

I think Selles takes more time selecting his suit than selecting a team
-
Jones was a terrible appointment, but I do feel we would have been more up and at them and not been this side who think we can play Pep football if he had stayed. We have the resource of players who could have done a far better job. I doubt we'd be tippy tapping around if he was still here. Yes he was poor but Im certain would have shook the complacent bunch we call a team
-
Finding someone who runs a lot and sideways and backwards will be hard to replace. He is a good player and his free kicks are superb, it may not be his falut that he is playing a deep position. Only at our clu do we find a perfect spot in the team for him, he scores and creates havoc for us to win, and then we put him back deep.

I thought Bobbin was a Saints fan,
-
He had been down injured. Whether that was timewasting I dont know, but that extra 10 minutes he could have injured himself for the rest of the season. He had a bad injury not long ago and so the risk factor was there.
-
Sadly as per against Palace, not straight to their player
-
There is no way we played that quality of football against Palace. I had quite a few messages from fans of other clubs mentioning how decent we were and how the hell are we where we are
-
To be fair BP, Arsenal were done, just a bit of skill and a shot in the corner and it was game on again. All of a sudden they had energy and ours was sapped. As with all things another 3 inches would have made a difference to the shot being saved or missed
-
Surprised he didnt as he makes me nervous how long he takes to release the ball
-
I dont understand why fans are so surprised. Once Arsenal got a second a third was sure to follow as we had for 45 mins been defending. Also Saints have a history of not holding on. To be fair other teams have done the same against the big clubs. It was great that we didnt lose. Where the extra 8 minutes came from??? If Arsenal had scored mid second half they would have won by 2 or 3. It seems we rarely manage to keep a shot out, and personally I would have preferred us to have bought Johnson from WBA as our keeper as he seems to have developed well

Relegation - What two teams do we take with us
OldNick replied to Lee On Solent Saint's topic in The Saints

Have we? I thought we'd all played the same now. I haven't checked as I am taking a leaf out of Selles book. Dont look at the table and then we can believe we are fighting for a CL place. 6 pointer at Arsenal saturday then
